Obituary: Betty Jungman went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on , 9, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas. She died in St Lukes Hospital in the Medical . Betty Jane Jungman was born on 3, 1923 in Vandalia, Illinois to James and Stella (nee Denning) Mahon. Betty was raised in Kendalia, Illinois. She married during the war to Ken Lacey. In 1958, Ken, a pilot, was killed in an accident while serving in the Air Force Betty returned to Illinois from England with her two children - Candy and John. She worked as a legal secretary until she met and married C. A. Jungman. When C. A. retired from the Air Force in 1970 they moved to San Antonio. C. A. passed away in 2002. Betty is survived by her two children, Candy her husband Mike Nevin, and John Lacey and three stepchildren Gerry Bettes, Mark Jungman, and Michael Jungman. Obituary: ARLINGTON -- Charles Nicholas Jungers, 99, loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away , Dec. 14, 2009. Service: A private committal service will be held at a later date. Visitation: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Moore . Charles was born Oct. 30, 1910, in Carbondale, Ill., to Floy and Nicholas Jungers. He married Irene Lind, the love of his life, on Aug. 28, 1940, and spent 67 wonderful years with her before her passing. Charles and Irene married, they moved to Carbondale, Ill., where he was employed at the warehouse of Kroger groceries and the 7-Up bottling company. The family moved to St. Louis, Mo., where he was a manager with the General Grocers warehouse. Charles retired in 1965 and devoted his time to his family, friends and working crossword puzzles. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Webster Groves, Mo., and the Elks Lodge of Carbondale, Ill. Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife, Irene Jungers; his parents; and his sisters, Elizabeth Brewer and Mildred Aldridge. Obituary: Virginia McNeill Jung, Penny, passed away at her home , 31, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Denver, Colorado on 12, 1930 to Florence and Reese McNeill, and shared a birthday with her beloved father. Penny graduated from Spur High School where she was Valedictorian, Band Drum Major, and class favorite. Following high school, she attended Stephens in Columbia, Missouri for one year, and then transferred to the University of Texas at Austin where she was a member of the Iota Chapter of Chi Omega sorority. Later, her daughter and three of her granddaughters became members of the same chapter. At UT she met her adored husband, Harry, in 1949. were married in Spur in 1951, and she joined her husband in Sapporo Hokkaido Japan where their first child was born. The Jungs returned to Austin where Penny assisted in sending her husband to UT law school. During this time, their 2nd child was born. law school, the Jungs moved to Crosbyton for 12 years where she taught English for two years and had their 3rd child. In 1968, the Jungs moved to Lubbock where Penny was a member of the Womens Bar Auxiliary; Chi Omega Alumni Association; First Methodist Churchs H. I. Robinson School Class; Womens Club; Lubbock Country Club Ladies Golf Association; and various bridge clubs. Recently, Penny and Harry celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. She is survived by her husband Harry; a brother Frank of Houston; her children Cathy and Kevin of Lubbock and Harry of Georgetown; six grandchildren, Emily, Natalie, Sally, Lily, Austin, and Harry; and one great granddaughter. Obituary: Mr. Richard Stanley Jung Stanley, age 90, died peacefully at his home on , 16, 2009. He was born Oct. 6, 1918 in Seguin, Texas as the only child of the late Richard Gus and Etta Mary Jung. He was the proud great, great grand child of German immigrants who came to this country in 1830. He grew up in Seguin and graduated from Seguin High School in 1935 and attended Texas Lutheran in Seguin for two years before transferring to the University of Texas in Austin where he graduated with a Business Degree in 1942. While at the University of Texas he was an active member in Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, served as editor of The Daily Texan, played the saxophone in the marching band and enlisted in the Navy Reserves. Upon graduation he completed naval officer training at Notre Dame after which he proudly served throughout the war as a Lieutenant aboard the battleship USS Idaho, where he fought the Japanese in the Pacific. During the War his ship was awarded seven battle stars for action which culminated with his ships triumphal entry into Tokyo Bay in 1945 to take part in the surrender of Japan on 2, 1945. the war he moved to San Antonio and became President of Star Seat Cover until he founded the Stanleys Ice Station and the Quick Pick chain of convenience stores. He was an active member and supporter in both time and finances to many fine organizations and clubs some of which included as a charter member of San Antonio Town Club, Lifetime member of UT Student Exes, Alamo Heights Presbyterian Church, Youth for Christ, San Antonio Kiwanis Club, Boy Scouts of America, San Antonio Optimist Club, Southwest Research , San Antonio Petroleum Club, Los Alegradores, The Revelers, Club Giraud, The Argyle, and the San Antonio Country Club. He was preceded in death 11 years ago by his wife of 50 years the former Kathleen Victoria Kiech of Jonesboro, Arkansas and is survived by his four children, Richard Earle Jung and wife Lynn, living in Nashville, Tennessee, James Stanley Jung and wife Jeanne, living in San Antonio, Kiech Veon Jung and wife Susan, living in San Antonio and Sara Jung Bouchard and her husband Pat, living in San Antonio. He has nine grandchildren, Jason Jung, Kathleen Jung, Sara Jung, Jana Jung Eaton, James Buck Jung, Janiece Jung, Gretchen Jung, Lindsay Jung and Elizabeth Osborn and five great grandchildren, Corbin, Katie Rose, Carson, Mattie and Macie. Stanley loved to be outdoors and related many fond memories of time spent with his buddies and pals while hunting and fishing. He will always be remembered for his beautiful smile and genuine spiritual optimism along with his unselfish, graceful, and charitable spirit. In particular he loved his Lord, Jesus Christ and gave unselfishly in both time and finances to his church, Alamo Heights Presbyterian where he served many years as Deacon, Elder and Director of the Church School and Mothers Day Out Program. He practiced and lived by the Golden Rule to Love your neighbor as yourself and Boy Scout code to Always leave a place in better condition than in which you found it. He leaves us now to seek his rightful and deserved eternal rest in a better place than the one he left but only after he was able to compliment, improve and uplift the spirits a character of all who came in contact with him. The family wishes to acknowledge and recognize those very special individuals with whom Stanley had a very special place in his heart and with whom he had the deepest respect and admiration and love for, in particular Dr. Anne Farrell and Mrs. Ruth Eilene Sullivan.
