Obituary: Ronald G. Jicha, Sr., age 82, passed away on 10, 2015. He was born on 16, 1932 to Gus and Helen Jicha in Brooklyn, New York. He married his wife, Florence, of 48 years on May 5, 1967. He was a loving husband, brother, friend, grandfather, great-grandfather, and neighbor. Prior to his retirement, Ron was a professional contractor and contributed to many significant construction projects throughout South Texas. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and loving devotion for his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Art. Ron is survived by his wife, Florence; daughters, Cindy Salmon Henry, Becky Salmon Harris, Leslie Jicha, Laura Jicha Adcock, Rani Milligan; sons, Ron Jicha, Jr., Buddy Salmon; siblings, Gus, Ila, Terri; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his dog, Roxy. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on , 14, 2015 at Seaside Chapel with a Service to be held at 2:00 p.m. that same afternoon. Entombment will follow at Seaside Reid Chapel. |

Obituary: Bernard Bernie A. Jezercak, 97, died peacefully at home on 11, 2013. He was a child of the depression, a WW II soldier who earned a Silver Star, a Bronze Star and unit citations. He was with the first Army troops who reinforced Marines on Guadalcanal. He also served with a special unit called Merrills Marauders. He came home and was a great husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He took personal care of Bea, his wife of 65 years, who suffered from Alzheimers until her death. He took care of his kids and was always there when they needed him. He was known to share food and wine and an occasional beer with his family and friends. He enjoyed his friends and times at the Carrollton Senior and American Legion Post #597. Bernie is survived by his son Bernie (Peg), daughter Irene (Chris), grandchildren Bernie (Carmen), Kathleen (Dean), Christian and Marc along with his great grandson, Bernie. His viewing will be held on , 16 at Metrocrest , 1810 North Perry Road, Carrollton from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Obituary: Viola Evelyn Psencik Jezek, a long time Temple resident, passed away at home on 21, 2015. A service in celebration of her life will be at Crawford-Bowers at 3220 S. 31st St., Temple, on , 25, at 2 p.m. with burial immediately following at Bellwood . Rev. Ken Ritchie will officiate. Visitation will be held at Crawford-Bowers on , 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. Mrs. Jezek was born on 5, 1922 in Seaton, Texas to Frank and Emma Dukatnik Psencik. She attended Seaton School and was married to Clarence Jezek in Cameron, Texas on 30, 1942. Their extravagant love was shared with children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. She assisted in family-owned automobile and service station businesses. She was a 50-year member of the SPJST. Her love of Czech music and culture inspired her to visit Zadverice, Moarava in the Czech Republic in 1996 where she met family she had corresponded with for years. Mrs. Jezek was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Temple where she cooked for the MOW program for many years. She was also a member of the DAV and VFW. She was preceded in death by Clarence, her husband of 65 years, two brothers, Frank A. Psencik and Lee Roy Psencik, and an infant sister, Anna Mae Psencik. She is survived by her sister Lillie Emma Psencik McDonald of Irving, her daughter Nancy and her husband Roger Manoogian, son Larry Jezek, and son Eric Jezek and his wife Fancy, all of Temple. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Kelly Manoogian and his wife, Cindy Toth, of Austin; Erin Jezek of Arlington; Shawn Jezek of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and Mark Jezek of Lubbock. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and her care-givers including Stacy, Terry, Sarah, Erica and Wilma and Scott and White Hospice nurses, Val and Kelly. Honorary pallbearers are Jensy and Mike Gregory of Irving, Jack and Dorothy Collier of Florence, and Johnny and Diane Lastovica of Salado. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorial gifts be made to the Youth Ministry Program at First Presbyterian Church, 12 West French, Temple, Texas 76501. |
