Obituary: Joan Jakubenas, 75, of Rosenberg, passed away on 25, 2015 at her home with her family by her side after a long struggle with cancer. She was born in Fussville, WI on 28, 1940 to Sylvester and Elenore Claas. Joan was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Richmond. Joan dedicated her life to caring for others. She graduated from St. Agnes School of in Fond du lac, WI Class of 61 as a registered nurse and worked at St. Marys Hospital in Milwaukee. In addition to caring for her own children, Joan was a foster parent to over 40 special needs newborns over a span of 25 years, while the family lived in Erie, PA and Corpus Christi, TX. Even with all the children her home was always spotless and no one ever left hungry. This loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend will truly be missed. Joan is preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Charles and Richard Claas. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Peter Jakubenas; children, Kevin Jakubenas, Lee Jakubenas and wife, Heather, Kara Good and husband, Richard, and Gina Herring and husband, William; and Mark Munoz; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Ella and Sophia Jakubenas, Silas and Isaac Good, and Caitlin, Noah and Hannah Herring; siblings, Sister Catherine Manning OSB, Cy Claas, Victor Claas, James Claas, Elaine Justman, Helen Schrott and Mary Starck; Sisters-in-law Merrilyn Nehls, Diane Claas, Marge Tolan, Meredith Gordon, and special friends Patricia and Ezequiel Munoz along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m., on , 29, 2015 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn in Rosenberg. The funeral mass will take place at 10:00 a.m., , 30, 2015 in the Chapel of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Richmond with burial following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Obituary: Elvera Christina (Sander) Jaks, of Shiner Texas, passed away on , 6, 2017, at the age of 99 years and three days. services are under the direction of Buffington in Shiner, Texas and will be held at 11:00 a.m. on , 11, 2017 at Shiner United Dr. Martin Luther Church in Shiner Texas, with Reverend Elaine Gomulka officiating. Interment will follow at Shiner Catholic in Shiner, Texas. Visitation will be on , 10, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Buffington , with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 pm with Reverend Elaine Gomulka officiating. Elvera was born on 3, 1918 in Shiner Texas. She was the daughter of Otto and Emma (Stoeltje) Sander. graduating from high school, Elvera went to school to become a beautician. She married Alphonse Jaks. She was a beautician, homemaker, and served as an organist in the community for over 50 years. She enjoyed arranging flowers and decorating her house with them. She would tell the family that she was going to play for the old folks and she would be the oldest one there. She served as President of the Shiner Hospital Auxiliary for two terms. Survivors include three sons; David Jaks and his wife, Margaret of Shiner, Texas, A.J. Jaks and his wife, Sharon of Shiner, Texas, Carl Jaks and his wife, Linda of Seguin, Texas, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; Otto and Emma Jaks, her husband; Alphonse A. Jaks, an infant brother; LeeRoy Sander, and one daughter; Marilyn Jaks Box. Pallbearers for Mrs. Jaks will be; Brian Jaks, Alison Jaks, Justin Jaks, Sarah Jaks, Sander Jaks, and Rob John Koschade. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Dr. Tim Wagner, M.D., Dr. Ralph Wagner, M.D., Holly Sciba, Dave Jaks, and Wendy Edmunds. Obituary: Charles Edward (Bubba)Jakeman, III, was born in San Antonio, TX on 18, 1943 to Charles E. (Ed) and Sadie (Curren) Jakeman, Jr. and entered eternity on 15, 2015 in San Antonio, TX. He retired from the San Antonio Police Department after 22 years of service. Bubba was a member of Community Bible Church and Triune Lodge #15, AF&AM. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joyce Nell Woelke. Surviving are his wife, Cheryl Alexander Jakeman; son, Charles E. (Chuck) Jakeman, IV (Christine); daughter, Debbie J. Prewitt (Terry); Stepsons, Robert Berry (Kathy Stephens) and John Berry; grandchildren, Carsyn Jakeman, Zachariah Prewitt; sister, Charlene (Charlie) J. Carpenter (John). He is also survived by aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. on , 19, 2015 at Sunset Chapel. Per his request, Bubba will be cremated.
