Obituary: Peggy Jean Jacobs of Seagoville, TX peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 16, 2015. Peggy was born in Forney, TX on 17, 1929 to Charley and Mabel Adams. Peggy was the youngest of five children. Peggy enjoyed living in Forney as a child and told of many adventures on the family farm. The family moved to Dallas during the Depression. Peggy attended Crozier Tech High School where she enjoyed drawing, painting and playing tennis. Peggy was married to Glenn Bourland in 1947 and had one son. Peggy was married to Ray Jacobs in 1951 and had six children. Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Charley “Paw Paw” Adams, her mother Mabel “Granny” Adams, her twin infant brothers, her brother Charles “Cotton” Adams, and her daughter, Dana Lee Barens. Peggy is survived by her sister, Mary Jo Stacy of Dallas, TX; son, David Bourland and wife Rosie of Sugarland, TX; daughter, Joanna Sadler of Dallas, TX; daughter, Jeanne Jacobs of Rowlett, TX; son, Logan Jacobs of Quitman, TX; son, Jay Jacobs and wife Tracy of Georgetown, TX; daughter Katie Meltzer and husband Don of Roswell, GA. Peggy is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank their church family of Casa View Assembly of God for their prayers and support for the past 25 years, and the staff of the Villages of Lake Highlands for the loving care given our mother during the last few weeks of her life. A visitation for family and friends will be held on , 19, 2015 at 6:00PM at Roselawn in Seagoville, TX, and funeral services will be held at 2:00PM with interment following at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Seagoville, TX.. |

Obituary: Patricia Patsy Walker Jacobs born 16, 1938, in San Antonio, Texas to Claire Marguerite Giesecke Walker and William Philip Walker, Jr. died peacefully on 22, 2007, surrounded by her family at Methodist Hospital at the age of 69. Patsy was an only child but was nurtured by many loving cousins, who she continued to be close to throughout her life. She spent her early years in Luling, Texas, where she developed an enduring love of the outdoors. She moved to San Antonio when she started school, and lived in the home of her maternal grandparents, Herman and Hedwig Ebeling Giesecke. Many visits were made to family ranches in the Ballinger, Texas area, where her passion for horses was well established as a very young woman. She was an avid animal lover, and went on to raise horses later in life along with the many dogs and cats she adored. Patsy graduated with honors from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1956. She matriculated to Wellesley in Wellesley, MA. She also attended the University of Texas for one semester, where she pledged Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She transferred back to Wellesley and graduated in 1960. In 1961 she was Duchess of the Republic of Chile in the Order of the AlamoÂs Court of Americas. She became a member of the Junior League of San Antonio, worked in interior design and taught school for several years before her marriage. She and her husband, Philip Stevens Jacobs, Sr. met in San Antonio and were married in Christ Episcopal Church forty four years ago. made their home in San Antonio for ten years and then moved to El Paso for a number of years. It was then that Patsy further developed her talent as an artist. She produced many fine watercolor and oil paintings. When a decision was made to move to the Texas Hill Country, she began focusing her painting on scenes found along the banks of Guadalupe River in Hunt, TX. Their home in Kerrville, TX was also the ideal location for beginning her horse business. In recent months, she and her family enjoyed their farm in Luling on the same land she loved as a young child. Patsy was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Philip Stevens Jacobs, Sr.; her two children, Patricia Claire Jacobs Kupchak and husband, Mitchell, of Brentwood, CA and Philip Stevens Jacobs, Jr. and wife, Nika Schmidt Jacobs of New Braunfels, TX; and her four grandchildren, Maxwell Jacobs Kupchak, Alina Claire Kupchak, Hannah Katrin Jacobs, and Grant Stevens Jacobs. PatsyÂs enthusiasm and zest for life influenced everyone with whom she came in contact. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
