Obituary: Sue passed away , 16, 2016 at her home. Her husband of 54 years was by her side. Born 8, 1939 in Hickory, NC, Sue was the daughter of the late Ann B. Sherrill. She was a graduate of Hickory High School and also attended Lenoir-Rhyne where she took business courses that she used throughout her life. Sue was a member of Providence Baptist Church for the past few years and had been a member of Derita Baptist Church prior to that. The greatest joy in Sues life was her family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially on afternoons. One of the things she was most proud of was that all of her family lived in Charlotte. She is survived by her husband, Bennie R. Jones; three children, Karen Sprague, Greg Jones and Carol Mace; and six beloved grandchildren. A service to celebrate Sues life will be held at 11:00 am , 21, 2016 at Providence Baptist Church, 4921 Randolph Road. The family will receive friends , 20, 2016 at Harry & Bryant , 500 Providence Road from 6:30 to 8:30 pm and at the church immediately following the funeral. Obituary: (1930-2014) Nancy Sue Burdette Jones, 84, of Greensboro passed away peacefully in her sleep 4, 2014. The family will receive friends on , 8, at Hanes Lineberry , N. Elm Chapel; from 6 to 8 pm. Celebration of Sues Life will be 11 am , 9, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 607 N. Greene Street, Greensboro. Burial at Forest Lawn will precede the Service. Sue was born in Salisbury, NC to Nancy Nunally Carter and Boyd Alexander Burdette of Spencer, NC. She attended St. Marys in Raleigh. Sue B. was an avid tennis player, and enjoyed golf, yoga, hiking, skiing, travel and time spent at the beach with her friends and family. She loved tending to her rose garden, needlepoint, painting and attending the ballet. She was a member of the Junior League, Lecture Club, Pine Needles Garden Club, several bridge clubs and supported Weatherspoon Art Museum and other charities. She was predeceased by two husbands: Harry Cramer and George Grimsley Jones; and a son, Harry Bruce Cramer; and is survived by her daughter Nancy Carter Brown and her husband Robert; and two stepsons, George Randolph Jones and Stuart Timothy Jones and his wife Janet and three grandchildren Ryan, Graham and Charlotte.
