Obituary: Donald Crise Jones, 90, of Kingsley, passed away on 6, 2016. Donald was born on 10, 1925, the sixth child of the late John & Lena Jones. Donald grew up on a farm in Brown City. When his father passed away, Donald, age 15 took over operation of the familys farm to provide for his mother. He would carry out his love for farming and family throughout his life. On 28, 1947 Donald married the love of his life Joan Thiel. Joan preceded him in death in 2011. had six children and were married for 64 years. His love for family was only equaled in his love for the lord. Donald was a devote Catholic and raised his family in faith and love. He was a long standing member of St Marys - Hannah Church. Donald worked at Cone Drive as a machinist and assembler retiring in 1988. He loved to farm and raise cattle all his life. He enjoyed hunting, especially deer hunting. He was known for his cobbling skills and ingenuity there wasn anything he could not fix. He loved his grandchildren and especially loved visits from his great grandchildren. He is survived by; daughters, Diane (Carl) Brown of Kingsley, Cindy Straughen of Traverse City; sons, Ronald (Nancy) Jones of Traverse City, Mark (Carrie) Jones of Kingsley, Henry (Renee) Jones of Kingsley; nineteen grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren with another great grandchild expected in . Donald was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joan Jones, and son James Jones. Visitation will be held on , 11, from 5 p.m. to the start of the Vigil at 7:30 p.m., at the Covell of Kingsley. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on , 12, at 12 p.m., at St. Mary-Hannah Church in Kingsley, with the family greeting friends at 11 a.m. There will be a luncheon following mass.
