Obituary: Patti Ruth Johnson, age 87, passed from this life on , 5, 2015. She was born to Marvin and Zella Bush Pearson. Patti was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur Ruel Strait Johnson and her daughter Lenita Ruth Johnson Merryman. Survivors include: her son Travis Johnson, of Nashville, TN; grandson Michael Johnson, of Morrilton, AR; brother, Kennith Pearson of Bigelow, AR; sister, Jonelle Pearson Gerner Murfreesboro, TN. Patti is also survived by grandchildren Jerry Wayne Merryman and Janet Adelman, of Louisville, KY; Sean Merryman, of Benton; Shelli (Randy) Crowell of Morrilton; Juli (Lou) Terry of Little Rock, AR; as well as numerous great-grandchildren. Patti was a member of the Plumerville United Methodist Church. She was active in the church and community until failing health forced her to give up some of her favorite activities: flea markets, shopping, dancing, and visiting with her friends. As a resident of Perry Counting , she continued to bring vitality, wit, humor, and love to every waking moment. In spite of lifes challenges, such as losing her husband and beloved daughter Nita far too soon, Pattis faith, joy, and love of life were unwavering. Patti loved people and loved to make them laugh; her contagious personality and caring ways earned her numerous friends from all walks of life. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. services will be 10:00 a.m. , 11, at the Harris Chapel with Rev. Von Del Mooney officiating. Burial will be at Plummerville by Harris of Morrilton. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. |

Obituary: Olga Allene Johnson, 76, of Springdale, AR passed away on May 30, 2016 after an extended illness. Allene was born on 16, 1940 in Swain, Arkansas, the daughter of Jake and Jessie Collins. She married Jimmie Lee Johnson in 1969 in Las Vegas, NV. She retired from the Arkansas Poultry Federation after 46 years of dedicated service and attended the Rivers of Mercy Church in Springdale. She was preceded in death by both parents, an older brother, Burlin Collins, a sister, Irma Williams and a granddaughter, Amber Gosvener. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Jim Johnson of the home; daughter, Twila Newton and husband Hal of Springdale; son, David Gosvener and wife Lorraine of Springdale; three sisters, Faye Sandlin of Quincy, CA, Alda Hill of Blue Springs, MO, and Donna Birchfield of Bentonville; one brother, Coy Collins of Pettigrew, AR; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of many cousins, family and friends. Visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm on , 2, 2016 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte in Springdale. service will be held at the Rivers of Mercy Church on , 3, 2016 at 2:00pm. Pastors David Gosvener and Johnny Hardbager will officiate the service with burial being conducted at the Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte of Springdale.
