Obituary: Ruth Alice Jeffers, 94, of Clinton and formerly of Greencastle, passed away on , 9, 2016. She was born on 26, 1921 in Greencastle to Roscoe Daggy and Anna E. Phipps Daggy. Ruth was a long time member of the Greencastle Presbyterian Church. She was a 1939 graduate of Greencastle High School. Ruth was a retired teacher, having taught in Auburn, Fort Wayne, New Haven and Jones Elementary in Greencastle. She grew up on the family farm, which is now known as Windy Hill Country Club. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred G. Jeffers; an infant daughter, Karen Anne Jeffers; and a step-son, Jerome Jeffers. Surviving are her son, Keith O. Jeffers and wife Cindy of Clinton; two step-sons, Jay W. Jeffers and wife Alice Ann of Terre Haute and Rev. Gene A. Jeffers and wife Barbara of Terre Haute; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on , 15, 2016 at 2:30 P.M. at Forest Hill |

Obituary: Robert R. Jeffers, age 87, of Bloomington, died afternoon at the Golden Living . Born May 31, 1928 in Lyons, Indiana, he was the son of Reed E. and Roxie Estella (Youngblood) Jeffers. He worked as a farmer and a construction worker, but retired as a manager for Speedway Oil . He served our country during the Korean War for 3 ½ years in the U.S. Air Force. He loved storytelling and working with people of all ages, serving as a Cub Master in Scouting, the Monroe Co. 4-H swine club, which he helped start, senior citizens and people when they were down and out. He had been active in various churches, including Clear Creek Christian Church and was a member of Woodhaven Christian Church. He is survived by his loving family, his two sons and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Cindy Jeffers and Greg Jeffers, all of Bloomington; one granddaughter, Morgan Nicole Jeffers, of Bloomington; one sister and brother-in-law, Marietta Joan and Kenny Self, of Bloomington and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Helen May (Nicholson) Jeffers, one infant son, Randall Jeffers, one grandson, Clayton Reed Jeffers, two brothers, Frank Arthur Jeffers and George E. Jeffers and one sister, Betty L. Clute. The funeral service will be held on at 1:00 p.m. at the Day & Deremiah-Frye ; 4150 E. Third St with Pastor Steve Baker officiating. Obituary: Jack Earl Jeffers, 83, of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully on , 18, 2017. He was born on 10, 1933, in Terre Haute, to Theodore and Lorena Jeffers. Jack graduated from Glenn High School in 1951. He served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. Jack married the love of his life, Phyllis Jean Frew on 4, 1957. He was a self-employed farmer who spent time running a dairy farm, grain operation, and transporting fertilizer. He was an active member of Union Christian Church. Jack loved spending time outside in his garden and working on the farm. With Jacks loyal and outgoing personality, he was often found to be cruising the countryside and visiting with family and friends during his free time. Jack is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Phyllis (Frew) Jeffers; his children, Debbie Sylvain and husband Jeff of Plainfield, Pam Zwissler and husband Ben of Columbus, Alan Jeffers and wife Nicole of Brazil, Connie Gualano of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Iain McNair, Aaron, Nathan, and Daniel Zwissler, Asieavae and Avalee Jeffers; step-grandson, James Zwissler and wife Lisa; three step-great-grandchildren, Connor, Allie, and Jake. Jack is also survived by his siblings, Marjorie Tanner of Terre Haute, Thelma Jean Zurcher of Terre Haute, Paul Jeffers and wife Betty of Waynetown, Kenny Jeffers and wife Georgia of Fort Wayne; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Theodore and Robert Jeffers; and a grandson, Shane Joseph McNair. Visitation will be held from 11 to 1 on , 23 at Roselawn . Services will be held at 1 p.m. on , at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Grayless and Dave Rector officiating. Jack will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Parks Chapel of Memories.
