Obituary: Charline called out Lord, open your pearly gates and let me in; He answered her call at 1:37 am , 17, 2016. Then the angel of death ushered her home to meet her Savior face to face. She transitioned from her earthly home with her loved ones at her side. Charline was a blessed gift to her parents, Lawrence Albert and Annie Ruth Isaac, coming into the world on Thanksgiving Day, 22,1951. She was the first girl in the family and quickly became the apple of her fathers eye. She was the third child of six born to this marriage. Both parents and her two elder brothers Lawrence Jr and Harry Lee all proceeded her in crossing the river Jordan. Charline confessed her hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized and became a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church under the spiritual leadership of Rev. A.J. Tisdom, while there, she served in the Sunshine choir. She later joined joined, Mt Sinai Missionary Baptist Church (Rev. Harry O. Baker) and then First Church Devine Non-Denominational (Pastor Lloyd Oldham) serving in the capacity of choir member at both. Charlines life began in St. Louis, Mo, where she lived in the Pruitt Igo housing Projects in the city of St. Louis. She attended the citys private and public school systems, St. Bridges Catholic Elementary and Carr Lane Elementary. Her seventh grade year was spent at Providence Catholic High School. On 5, 1965, the family moved to Pine Lawn, a Sub Division of North St. Louis , where she would attend the Normandy School District. the move she was met with the racial tension of the 60s in her community and schools. She faced these challenges head on by excelling academically and in extracurricular activities in school and community. She played the position of power forward for the girls' basketball teams at both Normandy Jr. and Sr. High Schools, where she received two trophies. She also was a member of the track team and band for Jr high, where she played the flute. As racial tension grew to an all-time high, she looked for ways to make a positive impact. She joined the universal Up with People Choir her junior year in high school and traveled to the state capital of Jefferson City Mo, where they performed the legendary gospel hit Oh Happy Day by Edwin Hawkins and the Hawkins Singers. She also became a member of Junior Achievement and received a certificate as a Leader of her unit. Her senior year in high school, she joined a diverse activist group whose aim was to change racial discrimination, their hope was for a better educational experience for future generations. The group led a peaceful protest march but were expelled for their efforts. Hence, this kept her from graduating with her class. Normandy is now a predominately black school district. She received her GED in 1982 through the Walbridge Elementary Adult Education Program Although she began her life in St. Louis, Charline spent her childhood summers in Black Jack, Miss with her maternal great-Uncle George Evans, Columbus, Miss with her paternal Aunt Annie Bell Tate, and Starkville, Miss with her maternal Grandmother Lillie Roberts, all of whom showered her with love and affection, a love she so freely gave throughout her life. May they all sleep in peace. Charline was very outgoing, she loved skating, dancing, camping, fishing and traveling. She was a bid-whiz card player and played well, even entering competitions locally. Her love for people and good times led her to become involved with and participate in various functions with private social clubs. She was a member of the Darby Rangers dubbed Rusty the Rangerette, an honorary member of Lawless M.C. and Assistant secretary of the Party Gang Social Club. An extraordinary and caring person, she lived, loved and laughed with a smile. Charline traveled to Jamaica twice during her illness and was planning a trip to Hawaii with her niece Weasel. Charline began working at age ten, her parents were entrepreneurs she worked as a janitorial aid for her fathers Janitorial , after school and on weekends. At sixteen, she became a model for Geneva and Ruths Fashions modeling her mother Ruth and Aunt Genevas clothing designs. She later worked for Famous Barr and Hopper Fur Companies as Monogrammer. Charline gave birth to a son, Lawrence Edward Isaac, her only child on 17,1974 at the age of 20, he was fathered by her teenage sweetheart Dannie Kirk (deceased). She moved to Kansas City, Kansas in 1981 where she spent the remainder of her life. While in Kansas she worked for the Jones Store as an unpacker, Aertex where she emblazoned sportswear. She retired from Con Agra foods as a meat packer. She became a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, of Kansas City, Kansas, under the leadership of Pastor Shawn Smith. Charline lived, loved and laughed all while battling Cancer without complaining. Her sense of humor and faith in Christ brought joy to all who visited her during her last days; she fought a long battle and won. Charline leaves a legacy of memories and a toast, to: Her son: Lawrence Edward Isaac, Her grand-daughter: QuyMescia Sy;Tise Reed, Three siblings: Lester L. Isaac, Dorothy J. Griffin and Angele Y. McGee (Robert), One sister-in-law: Yvonne Lacy-Isaac (Harry) of St .Louis, Mo, Her Cousins / Sisters: Gussie Ann Richey (Charlie) of Columbus Mississippi, and Annola V. Richardson of Kansas City, Kansas, Her God-Mother, Maureen Brown, a very special niece Anita Isaac - Fields.
