She moved to Pensacola in 1982 and was of the Southern Baptist faith. Mrs. Headen was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John H. Headen. She is survived by her sons, Rick Headen of Sour Lake, TX, James Headen of Madison, FL and Travis Lee Headen (Angel) of Pensacola; daughter, Leslie Renee Dalton of Pensacola; sister, Jean Parris of Rome, GA; granddaughter, Brittany Lynn Pugh (Chad) of Milton; grandson, Johnathon Headen of Pensacola and Travis Corneille of Pensacola. services will be held at 2:00 p.m., , 09, 2010 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Obituary: Headen, Doris Jane Kimsey passed away on , 11, 2015. Mrs. Headen was born on 18th, 1942 and was delivered by her Grandmother at home in Ducktown, Tennessee. She is the eldest daughter of George Edward Kimsey and Helen Marie Mason of Cherokee and Cree Indian decent. Mrs. Headen was married to Ernest Franklin Headen for 55 years. She had four (4) children; Ernest Miles Headen, Cheryl Lynne Headen and David Allan Headen, Jackie Eugene Kimsey; she leaves behind four (4) siblings: Loretta Howell, Regina Lou Fox, Theda Jayne Woodyard and Candler Kimsey. Mrs. Headen met her husband on Valentines day and married him three (3) months later, traveled all over the world and the United States living in many places she visited. Her favorite foreign country was Saudi Arabia where she lived twice for a total of about 4 years. Was a professionally trained waitress in the 1960's, interior decorated, sold time shares in Branson, MO. But mostly she was "the Momma" she was totally devoted to her husband and children and took care of us all. The family will receive friends on from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Wells Memorial. Obituary: Shirley Wyllene Thornhill Head passed into the arms of Jesus on 1, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bill; son Dean (Dawn) and daughter Marilyn Wirsz (Gary). Also a sister, Brenda Thornhill Shannon. She was born in Tampa, Florida to Pascal Gary and Mary Kathryn Thornhill on 3, 1935. She graduated from Hillsborough High School and attended Florida State University. For 46 years her lifelong love was in Head’s House of Music. Together with Bill, their life was devoted to serving church choir directors and choral music educators. In 1970 they bought a fledgling business, Bradley Music , and through the years grew the company to what it is today. were committed to introducing well recognized conductors and composers to choral directors throughout Florida in their annual choral workshops. Words of condolences since her passing have been overwhelming. It is in death one realizes the true impact a person has had in others’ lives. She has been described as kind hearted, strong, sweet, helpful, gracious, welcoming, always smiling, generous, humble, and truly a model of her Christian faith. So many friends have been faithful in their prayers and concern throughout her illness. She fought a brave fight and was never one to complain. Her love and devotion to her faith never wavered. Never outspoken, but through example many saw the light of Christ through her. Her family is heartbroken but rejoices in the knowledge that she is no longer in pain, struggling for every breath. Those left behind have lost a wife, mom, and friend, but heaven truly has gained an angel. |

Obituary: Robert James Head, Jr., died on 22, 2016. He was born on May 22, 1943 in Atlanta, Georgia to Ann Mallinson Head and Robert James Head. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Head, his daughter Hila Head, his sisters Carolyn Helquist and Marjorie Reishus, his brother Charles Head and 12 nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Marie Wheeless. Bob was an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Bishop Kenny High School in 1961. He received his undergraduate degree (1965) and Juris Doctorate (1967) from the University of Florida and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was a board certified real estate and business law attorney who practiced in Orange Park for 45 years. He was a Captain and Assistant Staff Judge Advocate in the US Army and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in Qui Nhon, Viet Nam in 1969-1970; law clerk to Honorable Bryan Simpson, US Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit 1970-1971; Assistant State Attorney Fourth Judicial Circuit Jacksonville 1971-1972; Charter Member and former president of the Clay Bar Association ; former member of the Executive Council of the Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar; Past Chairman of the Clay Economic Development Council; and a founder and chairman of the Board of the former Heritage Bank of Orange Park. He was a member and past president of the Orange Park Rotary Club and served on the boards of a number of community organizations including The Childrens Society of Florida, Buckner Division; Clay Habitat for Humanity; Jacksonville Area Legal Aid; and the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army of Clay .
