Obituary: Roy McClain Harmon, age 82, passed away on , 14, 2017 surrounded by family. Roy was born in Winter Haven on 14, 1934 to James Franklin and Mildred Lucille Shelton Harmon, and was a lifelong resident of Winter Haven. He graduated from Winter Haven High School in 1952 where he was Captain of the football team, a member of the golf team, and was also voted Most Popular his senior year. He served in the U.S. Army, 264th Field Artillery Battalion, in Germany. his military service, he attended the University of Florida where he was a member of the ATO fraternity and where he became a lifelong Gator fan. He was a Florida licensed real estate broker and owner of Harmon Realty of Winter Haven, specializing in citrus groves. He was a 50+ year member of the Winter Haven Elks Club. Roy enjoyed reading, cheering on the Gators and boating and speckled perch fishing with his lifelong friends. Roy is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Tommy James Harmon, and his daughter, Linda Harmon Morgan. He is survived by his children, Bill (Cheryl) Harmon, Blake McClain (Cindy) Harmon, Jill Harmon Snively, Reed (Angie) Harmon and Rush Harmon; fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his siblings, Patricia Harmon Wuchte Belcher, Dexter (Ronnie) Harmon, and Darlene Harmon (Art) Short; Carolyn Linebaugh Harmon, the mother of his children; his life partner, Jeanann Newland Hughes; his aunt, LaVan Ellis; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on , 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Redeemer City Church, 1410 Dundee Road, Winter Haven, followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale or Redeemer City Church in Winter Haven. |

Obituary: Phala Jernigan Harmon, 80, went home to be with our Savior on 27, 2017. She is preceded in death by Aaron Gore, brother-in-law; Aaron Gore, nephew; Verna Gore, sister; Bill Harmon, brother-in-law; Charles Harmon, husband; Holly Jernigan, father; Lucille Jernigan, mother and various Jernigans and Martins. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Harmon; brother, Richard Jernigan; great nieces, Andrea Carnley and Audra Carnley; nieces, Holly Carnley and Kellie Gore; sisters-in-law, Deanne Harmon and Paula Jernigan; nephews, Rusty Harmon, David Jernigan and Mark Jernigan (Sara); great nephew, Theodore Jernigan; various Jernigans and Martins. Phala Irene Jernigan was born in Jay, Florida on 11, 1936 to Holly and Lucille Jernigan. She also lived in the state of Washington. Phala lived in Pensacola for many years. She graduated from Pensacola High School. She married Charles Terrell Harmon in 1965 and they had one daughter, Jennifer in 1972. Phala was loved by family and friends. She was retired from civil service where she was in accounting at the Naval Air Station Pensacola. Phala was a member of Warrington Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she taught mission friends, GAs, VBS, sang in the choir, was a member of FAITH Team (evangelistic outreach). She went on mission trips to Pennsylvania and Brazil; and served on many committees. Phala enjoyed traveling with work and family. Her last two vacations were a Disney Cruise in 2009 with Jennifer and a trip from Pensacola to California in 2010 with Chuck and Jennifer. Phala loved her family and friends. Thank you to everyone at stead Village who helped her these past three years. Thank you to God for being with her through the storms. You stay the same through the ages. Your love never changes. There may be pain in the night, but joy comes in the morning. And when the oceans rage, I don have to be afraid because I know that you love me. Your love never fails. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m., , 08, 2017 at Bayview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Pat was very much a lady in every sense of the word and was loved by all who met her. Her passing has left a void in everyone's heart that will not soon be healed. A special Thank You to all of the Lovely Red Baronesses, Mr. Douglas MacArthur a long time friend and golfing buddy, Jacob Kaufman, and neighbor Connie Frank.
