Obituary: Jane was born 20, 1936 in Britton, South Dakota. She lived on a farm with her family near Hillhead, S.D. In 1941, when Jane was 5 years old, the family with all 5 children moved to Hoquiam, WA. Jane attended St. Marys grade school and then Hoquiam High School where she graduated in 1954. She worked as a typist for Lang Aiken & while attending Grays Harbor Community where she got an AA degree in Accounting in about 1956. She purchased an electric stove for her family which had now grown to 9 children and the family got rid of their wood stove. She moved to Seattle in 1957 and in 1958 began working for the Shoreline School District. She married Larry Hill in 1959. Their son, Bruce, was born on 17, 1960. Larry and Jane built a house together in North Seattle at 3204 NE 190th St., Seattle, WA 98115, where Jane lived. were divorced in 1971. Their son, Bruce, died in a hunting accident in 1975 at the age of 15. Jane worked at Shorecrest High School, where she was audio-visual technician. She met Greg Gaidrich in 1978, they fell in love and lived together until 6, 1993 when they got married in Las Vegas. Jane retired from Shorecrest in 1993 after 28 years with the district. Jane enjoyed garage sales in her spare time and collected glass eggs and Hummel look-a-likes. She collected so much stuff that she opened a booth in an antique mall for a few years. She enjoyed traveling and took trips to Nevada, Oregon, Alaska and to Ireland in 2004. Jane also enjoyed reading, working cross word puzzles, movies and sports. Jane was very family oriented and would be there whenever family members needed help or advice. Jane passed away on 10, 2010 following complications from a colon operation at the age of 73. Jane is preceded in death by her son, Bruce, her sisters: Nancy Hansen and Susan Nelson, and her brothers: James and David Haggerty. She will be dearly missed by her husband, Greg, of Seattle, sisters: Kathleen Catterson of Olympia and Bonnie Stover of Brinnen, and brothers: Michael Haggerty of Port Angeles and Daniel Haggerty of Seattle. She also leaves behind 13 nieces and 12 nephews along with numerous cousins. under the direction of Acacia Memorial Park & , Seattle, Washington. |
