Obituary: David S. Hagaman, 86 passed away in an accident at his home doing what he loved, working outside. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Jack, Ed, Floyd; and his sister, Marge. He was born in St. Paul, Minn. When his brother, Ed, was employed by Boeing, the family moved to Seattle, Wash. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Seattle. Dave worked at Boeing for 38 years and was a parachute rigger in the Navy. He leaves behind Iva Jean, his loving wife of 46 years; daughters, Janet, Melanie, Kim and step-daughter, Donna; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren and another one due in ; and nieces and nephews. He had numerous interests: traveling, fishing, hunting, skiing, boating, scuba diving and golfing. Dave could fix anything. He liked traveling in the motor home and spending the winter snowbirding in Calif. and Ariz. He was regularly seen walking his little dog, Buddy, and taking time to socialize with the neighbors. He had a friendly wave and smile for everyone, even though he may not have known them by name. He loved his family, friends and neighbors and was a cornerstone for the family. It is with fond memories we say goodbye. The Memorial Service will be held on 25, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 5115 100th St. NE, Marysville, WA 98270. Family and friends are encouraged to attend and celebrate Dave's life. Obituary: Ronald K. Hafsos, 74, died at his home in Selah on , 18, 2015. Ron was born in Yakima, Washington on 29, 1940 to Russell Kenneth and Helen Fay (Davis) Hafsos and attended West Valley High School. Ron worked for Sunfair Chevrolet in the parts department for several years. Rons career with the Yakima Department of Corrections was from 1984 until his retirement in 2003. Ron was an avid camper and motorcycle enthusiast. He was a member of the Vintiques Car Club for many years as well as the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Chapter M. He was also very influential in the annual Hobo feed at Longmire Meadows sponsored by the Gold Wing Motorcycle Club. Most important in his life was Rons family. He never missed a family dinner, holiday gathering or reunion. His children and grandchildren meant everything to Ron. Being active in the car and motorcycle hobby, Ron appreciated the many valley friends he had met over the years. Coming from a large family Rons social time revolved around his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He loved square-dancing, bowling, camping and of course his favorite large family meals. Ron is survived by his son, David Hafsos (Annette Hahn) of Naches, his daughter, Marla Damewood (Terry Hirst) of Moses Lake, WA; his brothers and sisters, Nancy Service of Penticton, Canada, Janet Hafsos of Spokane Valley, WA, Melvin Hafsos (Errol Carlson) of Portland, OR, Karen Poyser (Rick) of Yakima, Diane Dufault (Doug) of Beaverton, OR and Doug Hafsos of Yakima.; his grandchildren, Kory Damewood, Kyler Damewood, Dustin Hafsos, Dakota Hahn, Lacey Hafsos and Cristal Hafsos. Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Roberts Hafsos, his parents, Russell and Helen Hafsos and his brother, Gerald Hafsos. Obituary: Helen F. Hafsos, 91, died , 28, 2011 at home in Yakima surrounded by her family. Helen was born in Wenatchee, Washington 24, 1919 to Florine Edward Davis and Lela Grace (Chapman) Davis. She was raised and educated in Tieton. She married Russell Hafsos in 1938. Helen worked as a practical nurse at New Valley Osteopathic Hospital retiring after 23 years of service. Prior to that Helen worked at Summitview Manor for five years. At the time of her death she was a resident at Sun Tower Assisted Living Facility in Yakima. Helen is survived by her seven children, Ron Hafsos of Selah, Nancy Service of Penticton, Canada, Karen (Rick) Poyser of Yakima, Mel Hafsos (Errol Carlson) of Portland, OR Janet (Karl) White of Post Falls, ID, Diane (Doug) Dufault of Beaverton, OR and Doug Hafsos of Yakima (Nina Hafsos) of Winthrop, WA; 21 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; her sister, Marie Boyd of Yakima and her dear friend, Helen Poyser of Yakima and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband, her son, Jerry Hafsos, two brothers, Edward Davis and Murray Davis; two sisters, Margaret Perkins and Anita Reinmuth and a granddaughter, Traci Timmons. Helen had a lifelong devotion for her family. There was nothing she enjoyed more than family gatherings and family dinners. She could always be counted on to provide a wonderful meal, which Helen so enjoyed preparing for the get-togethers. Helens primary focus in life was her children. A tremendous thank you from all your children for the honor, compassion, honesty and love you instilled in each of us. You are leaving behind and empty space that can never be filled. A special thanks to Sun Tower Assisted Living, staff at Memorial Hospital, Howards Medical Supply and everyone at Memorial Hospice for such wonderful care of our Mom.
