Obituary: On 21, 2006, Marlin Emery Huff had a great reunion with his son Brian who preceded him in death. His life was filled with love for others and a desire to serve which quietly touched many lives. He was born on 20, 1934 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Archie and Lucile Huff. He lived in Benjamin where he grew up on the family farm. He was a graduate of Spanish Fork High School. He served a mission in the North Western States Mission. He served in the U. S. Army Reserves reaching the rank of Specialist E7. He received a Bachelors Degree from B.Y.U. in Education in 1961, and a Masters Degree in 1973 in Special Education.

He married the love of his life, Mary Colleen Lewis, on 14, 1958 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had eight children who grew under their example and unconditional love. He is survived by his wife Colleen Huff, six daughters and one son; Michelle (Ron) Story, Jana (Wade) Russell, Lorie (Russell) Graham, Melinda (Lance) Davies, Kathryn (Neal) Hatfield, Kimberly (Daniel) Hoschouer, and Bradly (Becci) Huff. He is also survived by four brothers and one sister; Paul (Jerry Ann) Huff, Sherman (Bonnie) Huff, Sharon (Eldon) Willes, Keith (Priscilla) Huff, and David (Coleen) Huff. He has 39 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

His life work was in the field of education. He taught sixth grade for six years after which he taught special education, where he worked on both the elementary and high school levels. He enjoyed the variety as he worked on several special education pilot programs. He worked for Nebo School District for 37 years and he had a great impact on his students. He received a `Teacher of the Year award and was selected by the State Legislature as the `Outstanding Nebo Educator of the Year.

He served in several capacities in scouting, including many years as scoutmaster. He was the Palmyra District Chairman for 3 years and earned the Silver Beaver award. He served in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in many capacities. He served as a Bishop, high councilor, youth leader, temple worker, and missionary. He served his second mission with his wife in the New York Utica mission. He was serving as the Stake Patriarch in the Spanish Fork Utah Stake at the time of his passing. Countless lives have been touched as they learned and followed his teachings.

His primary interest was spending time with his family. This includes his immediate family, his brothers and sister and wifes family. He enjoyed watching BYU games and his grandchildren participating in sporting activities, school programs, dance recitals, award assemblies, Eagle courts of honor, and church ordinations. Thank you dad, we think you are one of the greatest men who lived.

His family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the police officers, emergency medical personnel and to the nurses and doctors at Mountain View Hospital ICU for their tender, considerate, and loving care of Marlin and his family.

services will be held on , 27, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spanish Fork 8th Ward, 1006 East 200 South, Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends may call on evening, 26, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork, or on from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to funeral services. Interment will be in the Benjamin cemetery.

Obituary: Marie Williams Huff, our dear mother, grandmother, great grandma, great great grandma, and cherished friend completed her journey here upon the earth on 11, 2009, at Mountain View Hospital in Payson Utah. She was reunited with her husband, daughter, family members and friends. She was 94 years old. She is survived by a son, Clifton Glen Huff, ( Linda), seven grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 5 great greatgrandchildren. She was born in Spanish Fork Utah on 26, 1914 to Benjamin Ernst Williams and Sarah Louise Jones Williams. She had a pleasant childhood and enjoyed growing up and going to school in Spanish Fork. She excelled in penmanship, writing and drama. She had many friends and was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. She married Clifton Huff on 15, 1933 in the Salt Lake City Temple. had two children, Glen Huff who resides in American Falls, Idaho and Ann Huff Banks who preceded her in death. Marie and Cliff were very hard workers. owned the Town Cafe which stood where Zions Bank now stands. At the same time they owned and operated the Sky View Cafe in Spanish Fork canyon. The cafe was combined with a motel and service station. Later Marie owned her own shop in Spanish Fork named Maries gift shop. In 1952 they built the Oak Crest Inn working hard to make it a success. Marie served in many church positions. She was a primary president for 27 years, and Young Womens president, and served as a Relief Society President for 13 years. She had a special love for the relief society organization. She held many community positions. A member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Womens Resource Committee for Mountain View Hospital, member of the Utah Valley Resource Board, President elect of the Spanish Fork Chamber of Commerce, PTA president, 4-H Leader and Supervisor. In 1988 she received the Total Citizen Award for the state of Utah. In 1987 she received the Kiwanis Citizen of the Year Award. She received the Jaycees Woman of the year awardand the KUTV Good Samaritan Award for the western states. She was the Grand Marshall of the Spanish Fork 24th of parade in 1989. She had a knack for public speaking, and was a noted speaker sometimes speaking three days a week. She entertained students in the elementary schools often dressingup in pioneer clothing reminding them of their great heritage. She lectured at clubs libraries, schools and youth groups. She spearheaded civic service projects at rest homes, hospitals and for the blind associations entertaining by giving humorous readings and taught private reading lessons. She went regularly to the rest homes where she encouraged the residents to exercise and sing songs. She made friends wherever she went. In 1984, at nearly 70 years old she was called on a mission to the Louisiana Mississippi mission. She made friends with members and non members alike. She was loved by all and did much to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. In 1989 she was elected Mayor of Spanish Fork City. She was 75 years old and she won by a landslide. She served two terms and during that time many improvements took place in Spanish Fork including the city beautification project, City Arts Council and started the Festival of Lights. In 1996 she was named the outstanding mayor in Utah by the Utah League of Cities and Townes, with Governor Mike Leavitt presenting her with a special plaque. Marie was an example of not letting age interfere with goals andgood works. Even in her later life she was concerned with others. She wrote letters, sent cards, made phone calls, delivered teddy bears, sent meals and flowers to those she felt were alone or needed to be remembered. Maries motto was: When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and I could say I used everything you gave me. The family would like to thank all her friends, ward members, neighbors who served her with love. Obituary: Lee Huff, 87, our beloved father, passed from this life to the next on 4, 2008 from causes incident to age, 10 years to-the-day that his cherished wife departed.

Lee was born 6, 1920 to Sarah Ann Carter and Archer Huff and grew up on the Lake Shore family farm with his eight brothers and sisters. attending the local schools, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is a 57-year member of the American Legion and VFW.

Lee and his sweetheart, Mildred Page, were married on 28, 1949 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. shared 49 wonderful years before her passing in 1998.

working as a carpenter at Geneva Steel for 11 years, Lee began a new business in Spanish Fork - Dukes Lanes - in 1959. He spent 29 pleasurable years as manager and proprietor and bowled in league competition. The highlight was qualifying to represent the state of Utah in the 1966 World All-Star BPAA Tournament. Numerous individuals in Spanish Fork and the surrounding communities participated in league and individual bowling, resulting in many lifelong friendships.

As a member of the Spanish Fork 3rd Ward, Lee held church callings as welfare clerk, executive secretary, assistant High Priest group leader, and ordinance worker in the Provo Temple.

Mildred and Lee raised three daughters in Spanish Fork: Valerie, Shauna, and Calene. Their descendants extend to nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Valerie is married to Lloyd C. Cook. and their daughter, Nicole, reside in Salem, Utah. Shauna married John K. Dickson. have four daughters, Reagan, Ashley, Page, Mackenzie, and live in Ashburn, Virginia. Calene married Calvin L. Hall. have four children, Halston Lee, James Riley, Mason, Mindy, and have a home in Draper, Utah.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and two sisters, Archie, Clifton, John D. (Jack), Vern, Bessie Atwood, and Ila Atwood. Surviving him are Melva Hancock, and Norma Jo (Louis) Bunnell, as well as sister-in-law, Marie W. Huff.

services will be held , 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spanish Fork 3rd Ward LDS Chapel, (360 North 650 West). A viewing will be held on , 10th from 6:00-8:00 p.m at Walker Mortuary, (187 South Main, Spanish Fork), and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church.

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather & great-grandfather, John Elliott Huff, passed away on May 12, 2008. He was born to John Allen & Maud Elliott Huff, 28, 1924, in Spanish Fork, Utah and raised in Ogden, Utah. He was the eighth child. His father was killed in a mine disaster eight months before his birth.

He married Ila May Naylor in Ogden, Utah, 26, 1945. Their marriage was solemnized, 5, 1972, in the Provo LDS Temple. John worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad as a machinist helper and for the Union Pacific and OUR&D as a locomotive fireman. He retired from Geneva Steel after 34 years as a locomotive engineer and remote train operator. John served for 10 years as a Union Representative for United Steel Workers of America. John was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a home teacher for 45 years with the same partner. He loved spending time with his family, vacationing and camping.

He is survived by his sweetheart, Ila, 3 children, Sharn (Richard) Hoover, John (Pam) Huff, Jay Huff and 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was the last survivor of eleven brothers and sisters and was preceded in death by a grandson.

services will be held at 11 a.m. , May 19, 2008, at the Orem Hillcrest 4th Ward Chapel, 440 East 800 South, Orem. Family and friends may call evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson , 646 East 800 North, Orem and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment will be held in the Spanish Fork .

Obituary: Donna Jane Thomas Huff was born 7, 1912 in Palmyra, Utah. She was the sixth child of seven children born to Llewellyn Parker and Jane Ann Aitken Thomas.

She married Harvey Earl Huff on 19, 1929. have four daughters, Rowene Bird (Robert) of Springville; Carol Llewellyn (Bob), of Spanish Fork; Sharon Swenson (Edward), of Kaysville; and Janice Carson (Reo), of Salem. have 18 grandchildren; 61 great grandchildren; and 27 great-great grandchildren for a total posterity of 110. Harvey preceded her in death 24, 2003.

Donna attended schools in Spanish Fork and enjoyed handwork, painting, bowling, and camping. She especially loved her family. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Donna served in many capacities, including visiting teacher, MIA, and Relief Society.

Obituary: Spanish Fork- Darrell J. Huff, age 90, died , 27, 2009 at his home. He was born 20, 1918 in Lake Shore, Utah , Utah to George Elmer (Tel) and Annie N. Westring Huff.

He was reared on the family farm and worked there until joining the Army during World War II. He served his country in the Pacific Theater in the Veterinary Corps. He married Betty Barbara Ney on 4, 1946 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

He was very handy, building his first boat, his two car garage, and the railing for his porches. He was a plumber by profession, working for R. Dean Johnson in Spanish Fork, Craighead Plumbing and Heating in Provo, and then retiring from U.S. Steel at Geneva in 1982.

He loved to hunt and fish; if it walked, ran, swam, or flew, he hunted it and he ate what he hunted. Vegetable gardening was his hobby; he shared his vegetables with friends and neighbors. Darrell enjoyed bowling at Dukes Lanes for many years.

Survivors include two sons, Richard (Susan), and LaMar (Ava); a daughter-in-law, Gloria Huff, all of Spanish Fork; one brother, Theron Huff of Lander, Wyoming; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; son, Shyrl Huff; one brother, Delos Huff; five sisters, Erma Craig, Verda Gasser, Florence Lewis, Sally (Amelia) Ostler, Elda Wilson.

services will be , 31, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Walker Family Mortuary, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork. Viewing will be evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the mortuary and morning one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork City where Veterans Military Rites will be accorded.

Obituary: Cynthia Vay Francis Huff passed away , 17th, 2009 of incident related to age. She passed away at her daughters home in Springville where she had been living. Vay was born 31, 1915 to Joseph Archibald and Ursula Jones Francis in Lake Shore, Utah. In 1938 she married Earl Huff in Las Vegas Nevada, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many capacities including Relief Society and Primary Presidencies along with other organizations within the church. She was steadfast in her testimony in the church. Her spirituality and integrity were woven through every part of her life, she loved her heritage. She also volunteered her time and talents to her community such as 4-H, and Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Her love of sewing has touched many lives, too many to count. Vay had a passion for reading good books. She enjoyed camping, picnics in the canyon and spending time with her brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Huff, married for 34 years. Brothers: Wayne Francis, Jones Francis. Sisters: Thelma Christensen, Ida Francis, Donna Bellows, Alta Ludlow, Grace Wilson, Hazel Badham and Myrl Huff. Survivors include her children: Suzanne Jones, Springville, Patricia (John) Dixon, Springville, Earl F. Huff, Anchorage Alaska. Seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, Brother Allen Francis, Sisters Annie Wilson, Ruth Stewart, Beth Gordon, Nona Kay Bishop and Ina Jo Pierce. services will be held , 22, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lake Shore Meeting House, 5916 South 3200 West, Lake Shore, Utah. A viewing will be held night 21st at the Walker Mortuary in Spanish Fork, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork Utah, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m and on morning at the church from 11:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to services.
