Obituary: William (Bill) Douglas Hart, age 80, passed away 17, 2015 from brain cancer. Bill was born 6, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Herbert Alexander Hart and Helen Covey Hart. Bill had one older brother H. Wallace Hart (deceased) and one younger sister Georgia (Ron) Maudsley. He married his sweetheart Patricia Ann Cleminson on 1, 1961 at Wasatch Presbyterian Church in Salt Lake City, Utah. shared 54 wonderful years together. Bill worked for 35 years for the Salt Lake City Corporation Public Utilities (Water Department) in Personnel/Payroll. He was well-liked by the whole department and was known affectionately as Mr. Bill. Bills hobbies included cars and working on them, gardening, yard work, woodworking and more. He retired from the water department in 1995 and soon the boredom set in until 1997 with the birth of his grandson Sammy. Bills grandson was his pride and joy. were joined at the hip and spent many happy hours on their adventures (hunting for bugs, collecting rocks, playing army with mini action figures and much more). Grandpa (The Checkers King) taught Sammy to play checkers and soon lost his crown to his grandson. He is survived by his devoted wife (Patricia Pat) and their four wonderful children: two daughters: Leslie (Brad) Hart-Marion & Lori (Jim) Henry and two sons: Tim Hart & David Hart. Also survived by his grandson Samuel James Henry. Bill was cared for these last three years by his son Tim who sacrificed so much to be our caregiver. We (Bill & Pat) will never be able to thank Tim enough for his love and devotion. We couldn have been able to do this without him. A private family Celebration of Life was held in Bills honor. Obituary: KENT (Kenny) RICHARD HART 11, 1964 - 24, 2016 Salt Lake City, UT - Kent Richard Hart, 51, passed away on , 24, 2016 as a result of an accident while hiking with his family in the beautiful mountains of Norway. Kent was born on 11, 1964 to Richard Lee and LaRae Ann Johnson Hart, in Granger, Utah and was the youngest of four children. Kent graduated from Granger High School in 1983, where he formed lifelong friendships with many, especially the Ramblers. As a senior, he served as Senior Class Vice President. Following high school, he attended the University of Utah, majoring in Psychology, graduating Summa Cum Laude. His lifelong goal of becoming an attorney became a reality when he received Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the University of Utahs S.J. Quinney of Law in 1992. Kent passed bar exams (Nevada, New York, Connecticut and Utah) and practiced law in Nevada and New York City before returning to Utah in 1999, where he worked six years in the appeals division of the Salt Lake Legal Defender Association. In 2005, he joined the Utah Federal Defender Office, where he has served as an appeals attorney and a specialist in capital cases. The Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (UACDL), where he had previously served as president, hired Kent as its executive director in 2009 growing the organization to more than 500 members. Kent loved his work, helping and serving others. In 2011, he was given the ACLU of Utahs Mickey Duncan Award for outstanding service. In 2012, he was presented with the Utah Minority Bar Associations Jimi Mitsunaga Award for excellence in criminal law. Kent also spent eleven years as a Teaching Adjunct Professor at Salt Lake Community (SLCC) in the Paralegal department. Kent is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in several capacities, including the High Council, High Priests Group Leadership, the Young Mens Organization and Gospel Doctrine teacher. He loves the Savior and has patterned his life after him. Kent served a mission in Norway where he grew to love the people and country. As his sons grew older, he wanted to introduce them to the country and the good friends he made, with whom he has remained in contact with throughout the years. A special thank you to Linda and Truls Holth of Oslo, Norway for their loving care of Kents family during this difficult time. From his previous marriage came Kennys greatest accomplishment - the birth of his two sons, Anders and Evan. are the joy of his life and he is so proud of them. He loved to be with them hiking, watching dry-humored movies, and taking them to Jamba Juice or Cold Stone after Night Hart Family Dinners. In the fall of 2015, Kennys heart beat faster when he began dating his wife, Giovanna. were married in May. He was so happy and thrilled to make plans for the future with her and gained a new friend (daughter) Sofia. Kent is survived by his sons, Anders and Evan, his wife Giovanna and friend, Sofia; his parents Richard and LaRae Hart; his brother, Mitchell (Michele) Hart; sisters, Maurine Hendrickson and Karen Hart; his niece, nephews, their spouses and children. A gathering of family and friends will be held on , 25, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Valley View Mortuary, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT. Additional visitation hours will be held from 10:00 - 11:30 am prior to the memorial service at Noon on , 27, 2016. Memorial services will be held at the Sugarhouse LDS Stake , on the NE corner of 1700 South and 1100 East. Obituary: John Robert Hart 11, 1923 ~ Feb. 2, 2009 John Robert Hart was born 11, 1923 to Clarence and Seretta Green Hart in Rigby, Idaho. John graduated from Pocatello High School as the Student Body President. He was active in sports and music. He graduated from the University of Utah in Electrical Engineering, working at Westinghouse, McDonnell-Douglas and Boeing Aerospace. John served in the Army during WWII, in New Guinea, the Philippines and Japan. John married Rosanne Sessions in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. were blessed with four children. Rosanne passed away in 1968. He later married Diane Carter who added to his family with her 4 children, and together they had a daughter. John loved music, singing in choirs, quartets, trios and duets through out his life. He loved to do crossword puzzles, but most of all he loved his family and the gospel of Jesus Christ. He served in various church callings as an active member of the LDS Church. The last 5 years were spent at Jamestown where he developed dear friends. He is survived by Wendy Knudson (Mark), Anne Hyde (Mark), Robert, David (Bonnie) and Seretta Soule (Matthew). Step-children Casey Lowe (Kelli), DeeDee Jacobsen (Mark), Dennis Lowe (Tracy) and Daniel Lowe (Allison), 20 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 brother and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held on , 7, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the Englewood Ward, 3511 North 180 East, Provo, UT. A viewing will be held from 9:45 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
