Obituary: Beverly Clarke Haring Passed away on 20, 2008 Beverly was born on 16, 1920 in Salt Lake City, daughter of Hazel Jennie Beach and Milton Elliott Clarke. She moved with her mother and sisters Barbara and Leah Mary to California in 1927. She graduated from Hollywood High School in 1939 and in 1940 married Albert John Haring in the Mesa LDS Temple. She worked at Lockheed during WW II. Her husband served 2 tours of duty with the U.S. Navy. He later was an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department. Beverly loved children and taught pre-school in Glendale, CA. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. Her interests were singing and arts and crafts. She was a contralto soloist and sang for many church functions. She remembers singing at the age of 10 on the radio with her mother who was an opera singer. She loved music and lyrics and wrote many songs, both secular and sacred. She published a book of her music and poetry in 2002. She loved to paint and draw and was also a seamstress. She had many talents that she generously shared. Beverly served as a YW President, a Relief Society Counselor, on the School Stake Board, a Primary teacher, Jr. School co-ordinator (her favorite calling) and completed 3 Stake Missions. Bev and Al came to Spanish Fork to retire and then were called as full-time missionaries to the Washington, Oregon Mission in 1980. She loved missionary work. She was so happy when her son was a missionary, and later, when her 3 granddaughters and 3 grandsons served. Dana Robinson and Troy Bohling were her Bishops in Spanish Fork for many years. Her husband, Al passed away in 2000. She is survived by her 2 children, Michele (Mickie Neilson) of La Caada, CA and Michael (Mike Haring) of Goshen, UT and her sister, Leah Mary Parker of Orem. She has 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. services will be held , 29, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Walker Sanderson , 646 East 800 North, Orem. Family and friends may call from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be held at Orem City . |
