Obituary: Ronald John Hannay passed away 23, 2010 surrounded by his family after a 4-year battle with cancer. He was born 26, 1941 in Salt Lake City to Robert John and Leona Faye Hannay. Ron was raised in rural East Millcreek and graduated from Olympus High School. He was also an Eagle Scout. He continued his education at Mesa in Grand Junction, Colorado, where he played college basketball. He served for many years in the United States Army Reserves. Ron married Elizabeth (Libby) Flinders on 2, 1962 in the Logan Temple. called Park City home and it was there that they raised their five children. Ron worked as a master electrician; and was a mechanic and handyman, he could fix anything. The countless hours that he spent as a child learning about cars at his fathers gas station served him well his entire life. Ron was also a cattle rancher. He was never happier than when he was working cattle or haying with his family. He taught his children and grandchildren how to ride a horse, brand, and vaccinate. At their sod farm in Park City, Ron worked with his brothers-in-law supplying sod for many building projects in Park City and Salt Lake. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ron served in many callings including Bishop. He served for a number of years on the Park City Board of Education. Ron was full of life and energy. Even his children had a difficult time keeping up with him. His favorite hobbies included fishing and backpacking in the Uintas, playing basketball, jeeping in Moab, snowmobiling, skiing, riding his jet ski, and 4-wheeling at the sand dunes. Recently his favorite pastime was watching his grandchildren play sports and win state championships. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, a nephew, 2 granddaughters, a brother-in-law, and a sister-in-law. He is survived by his wife Libby, Son Gary (Tracy) Hannay, Kamas; Daughters Sheila (Wayne) Davis, Kamas; Katherine (Erik) Fristrup, Henefer; Heidi (Jeffrey) Garn, Salt Lake City; Cheryl (Michael) Rogers, Kamas; 15 Grandchildren, Joshua (Tristan), Jordan, Sydney Hannay; Mariah, Sierra, Logan Davis; Devin, Makay, Brooke Fristrup; Mckenzie, Savannah, Taylor, Summer Garn; Samantha, Austin Rogers; Brother Robert (Karina) Hannay, Salt Lake City; brothers-in-law Leland Flinders, Fruit Heights; Melvin (Sandy) Flinders, Park City; Jerran (Marilyn) Flinders, Asotin Washington; and many nieces and nephews. services will be held 28, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at the Coalville Stake 40 N Main, Coalville, UT. Obituary: Sherion Marie Hanna 10, 1942- 22, 2010 God has taken one of his most beautiful angels home and ended her suffering. Sherion Marie Hanna was surrounded by those who loved her most when she passed. She is finally at peace and pain free. Momma was always the first one to give you the shirt off of her back. She always greeted you with a smile. Her hobbies included bowling, which she excelled at, watching the Jazz and shouting at the cheating refs, and she never missed an episode of Dancing With the Stars. She was an accomplished dancer herself, winning many trophies as a young lady. Sherion had five brothers and one sister, Ed, Jerry, Loydie, Rick, Rex, and Carolyn who journeyed home before her. She was also preceded by her fathers William E. Christensen and William B. Comes as well as her sons Denny(Jr)(Denise) and Jerry Lynn. Her mother, Edith(Marie) Comes, sister Billie Louis Gilbert(Danny), and husband George M. Hanna deeply mourn her passing. are comforted knowing that she will be waiting with everyone else on the other side. She will be terribly missed by her remaining children; sons, Michael Todd(Michelle), Nicholus Savas, George(Mike) Hanna(Diane), Jerry,and John(Victoria) Hanna. Also her daughters Christine VanDamme(Danny) and Georgia(Danny) Debus. Her numerous grandchildren, other family members, and friends will never forget her. Rest now you sweet dear lady, we love you. Your pain is gone but ours is just beginning. Until we meet again... Services will be held , 29, 2010 at 12:00 noon at the Valley View Chapel, 4335 West 4100 South. Obituary: SALEM - Lucille Hanks, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother died 26, 2008 at the age of 96. Lucille was born on 3, 1911 in Spanish Fork, Utah, the daughter of John Arnold Lee and Ellen Jane McKell Lee of Mapleton, Utah. She attended grade school and junior high school in Mapleton and senior high in Springville, Utah. She married George Elmer (Kelly) Hanks, (deceased), of Salem in the Salt Lake Temple on 22, 1929 and they settled in Salem, Utah. Kelly and Lucille were the parents of three sons, Ted L. (Della) Hanks, of Woodland Hills; Boyd E. (Deanna) Hanks, of Salem; Kurt G. (Barbara) Hanks, of St. George; and a daughter-in-law, Corinne (Robert Memmott), of Mapleton, Utah. Lucille was blessed with 22 grandchildren, and over 80 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. Lucille has one living sister, Ruth Jones, Pleasant Grove, Utah. The remaining brothers and sisters have all preceded her in death; Emma, Grace, Harriet, Robert Edward, Jane, and John. Lucille worked as a pink lady for over 35 years at Mountain View Hospital and was honored as one of the volunteers of the year for the State of Utah in 1994. services will be held , 1, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Salem Second Ward Chapel, 60 South Main, Salem, Utah. Friends may visit with family from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. We offer a special thanks to Dr. E. William LeRoy of Payson. He could keep Lucille right on track regardless of what she would tell him. We also offer a special thanks to the staff and management of the Beehive of Salem for all of the help with Lucille.
