Obituary: Ruth L. Haney, age 93, of Filer, died peacefully, , 27, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital in Twin Falls, ID surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born in Salt Lake City, UT on Jan. 18, 1924, to Ray and Agnes Grace Taylor Walton. She was the fourth of six children. She grew up in South Salt Lake and graduated from Granite High School. She was working as a telephone operator for Mt. Bell when she met George E Haney, Jr. at age 18. were married on Jan. 15, 1943. George and Ruth made their home in Salt Lake City until of that year when George enlisted in the US Army Air Corps in Pilot Training. Upon discharge in 1945 they returned to Salt Lake City. settled in Twin Falls, Idaho in 1953 where they raised their five children. Behind every good man is a great woman, and for over 50 years she supported and worked beside her husband in the Insurance and Real Estate business. Together they have spent the past 29 years working together in their Melaleuca business, making a difference in every life they have touched. Ruth was a charter member of her Literary Art Guild. She served faithfully in her callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her feisty spirit will be something carried with us and passed lovingly to her next generation. She was an inspiration to all as she served as a Scout leader, Primary teacher, YW leader, camp director, Relief Society Teacher and President, Temple worker and served 5 missions including the Boise Idaho Temple for many years before deciding to serve full time in the following missions: England Leeds, Indianapolis Indiana, England London South, and Idaho Boise, serving in Jackpot, Nevada. She served as the secretary to the Mission President in the first three missions and became a second Mom to all the missionaries who served and worked with her. For most of their life, George thought he was the executive, but as he served alongside her in their missions, because of her organizational skills he learned who the true executive was. Her greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to 6 children, 29 grandchildren, and 74 great grandchildren. Her second son, Chad preceded her in death and changed her life forever as she learned and lived her life knowing that Families Are Forever. Ruth is survived by her husband, George and their 5 children, George III (Irene) Haney of Twin Falls, ID; Pam (Mike)Youngs of ville, Utah; Brooke (Kirt) Bledsoe of Ontario, Oregon; Linda (Russell) Grimmett of Arlington, TX and Tad (Kris) Haney of Glens Ferry, Idaho; 26 grandchildren and 74 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, son and 3 grandchildren. services for Ruth will be held at 1:00 PM on , May 5, 2017 at the Filer LDS Church, 841 W. Midway, Filer, ID with Bishop Steven Lott officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. , May 4 at White Mortuary, 136 4th Ave., Twin Falls and from 10:30 - 12:45 at the Church. Burial will take place at 12:00 Noon, on , May 6, 2017 at Wasatch Lawn in Salt Lake City, UT. Services are under the direction of White Mortuary, Chapel by the Park, Twin Falls. |

Obituary: George Francis Haney George Francis Haney, 77, passed away at his home surrounded by his family in Salem on 16, 2007. He was born 13, 1930 in Fair Play, Colorado to Ethel May Smith and Eugene Ervin Haney. He was the second of five boys. He enjoyed his childhood, his home, and his heritage. He faithfully served his country during the Korean War in both the Navy and the Army. George married Barbara Lombardi on 10, 1954 in Evanston, Wyoming and they were blessed with six children. He was a dedicated father and husband, and found true joy in serving his family. George owned and operated his own fireplace company, HMW Sales, and also worked with aluminum siding. Barbaras death, George married Lois Warren on 4, 1988 in Spanish Fork, Utah and they were sealed as a family in the Provo Temple on 17, 1989. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, George never missed an opportunity to help someone in need. He was a great neighbor and friend. He loved spending time in St. George. He kept an immaculate yard, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. He never missed a family members birthday, and loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. George is survived by his loving wife, Lois; five children, Vickie (Kelly) Nostrom; Mike (Susan) Haney; Jeanette (Arlynn) Talbot; Denise (Dennis) Erickson; and Trish (Lynn) Thomas. He is also survived by five step-children, Susan (Neil) Taylor; Karen (Gary) Tuckett; Warren Larsen; Janette (Doug) Painter; Sherri (Alan) Houtz; two brothers, Robert (Nina) Haney; Delbert Haney; his mother-in-law, Faye Warren; 41 Grandchildren; and 63 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his dear wife, Barbara; a daughter, Georgia Haney; five grandchildren; a great granddaughter; his father-in-law, Ken Warren; a son-in-law, Randy Romero; two brothers, Marvin LeRoy Haney; and Leon Marion Haney. The family would like to thank Vista Hospice, Nancy and Rosemary, also, Dr. Kronmiller and Dr. Green. services will be held , 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Knoll Park Chapel, 160 South 460 West, Salem. Family and friends may call on evening, 21, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork or on morning at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
