Obituary: Reverend William H. Hysell peacefully left this world to join the next in heaven for his final rest and reward on , 23, 2015. He was only 66 years old but lived life to its fullest. Born on 19th, 1948 in Columbus Ohio, he was the oldest of 2 sons born to Harry Thomas Hysell and Gertrude Eloise Scott Hysell from Cheshire, Ohio. Bill Hysell was raised in Cheshire Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father in 1994, and his precious mother, Gertie Hysell 14 months ago. He has followed them to heaven. Bill is survived by his two daughters, Elizabeth Audra Hysell and Lydia Alison Hysell who reside in Irving Texas, his former wife, Marilyn Hysell, of Arlington, his brother, Coach Thomas S. Hysell and wife, Debbie Hysell of Coconut Creek, Florida, his nephew, Scott Hysell, and wife Ashley Rose and their son, Parker Cole of West Palm Beach, FL, and niece Brittany Hysell Ulrich and her husband SFC CJ Ulrich, and their baby Olivia Grace of Niceville, Florida. Pastor Bill is blessed to have many other nieces and nephews, cousins, other family members, close friends, and church member friends from 30 years as he served as a minister. He was loved and honored by many and touched countless lives with his fervor for the Lord. Bill graduated from Kyger Creek High School in 1966. He attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio for 3 years where he became a head drummer of the famous First 100 ing Men of Ohio until his impending draft to the military caused him to enlist prior to the draft. He was accepted into the Annapolis Naval Academy but joined the Army in the footsteps of both his mother and father and served for 3 years. He was honorably discharged as a Second Lieutenant. returning from his service to this country, Bill returned to Ohio University for a short while until he received an offer he couldn refuse to go on the road with a band that traveled extensively, and especially in the eastern seaboard. This was the beginning of 13 years as a professional night club musician. He played with many well-known bands and artists. He was with the Johnny Mercer Road Show for several years which took him to Las Vegas and many other places. Bill was an amazing show drummer and loved what he did. His music career took him to Shreveport Louisiana where he had an amazing experience with Christ and surrendered his life to Gods service. Bill graduated from Christ For the Nations Institute in 1982 and took a full-time music minister position with Pastor Bert Allbritton in the Dallas area. In 1986 he took a position as Dean of the School of Music at Christ for the Nations Bible Institute and directed a traveling choir that reached all over the United States and many countries around the world. In 1989, Bill became the Minister of Music at Arlington Christian which led him to another 23 years of pastoral ministry as the founder of Celebration Worship and later Legacy Church in Arlington. His 30 years as an active minister and pastor in this community has made huge impacts on the lives of many both spiritually and musically. Bill received his Bachelor of Bible Theology Degree in 1985 from International Bible Institute and Seminary in Plymouth, Florida. In 2007 his was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Theology Degree from stead Bible in stead, Florida. Bill shared his love for music, teaching and the preaching and many followed in his footsteps. Bill valued his daughters, Liz and Lydia and his family and friendships very much. He was a fun guy who also loved cooking, good food, football, the ocean, sun, palm trees, scuba diving, his beloved Buckeyes and traveling.
