He was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and for many years spent the majority of his life in the automobile business. Obituary: The angels of the lord came for Katherine Anne Huebinger, our beloved daughter, sister and Aunt on 4th 2016. Kathy was born in Amarillo Texas and adopted by Lt. Col. Vincent & Clara Huebinger in 1957. Kathy was the light of their life, their first child. She was able to travel the world during her father's Air Force career. She lived in Sacramento California, Fort Worth Texas, Naha Okinawa, Langley Virginia and Harlingen Texas through her father's many assignments. She spent a great deal of her youth traveling Southeast Asia with her family during "hops", on family vacations to the Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan and Japan. During her early years she was involved in Girl Scouts and constantly making many new friends along her way. As a young girl she developed an interest in music and bowling, which she continued throughout her life. Her favorite musicians were Elvis and the Beatles. She bowled for years with friends in leagues and on family outings. her father retired from the Air Force, she moved with her family back to Harlingen Texas, where she graduated from Harlingen High school. She continued her education at Blinn Junior , Pan American University at Edinburg and eventually Southwest Texas State University. Kathy was a giving person, sweet and kind to everyone she met. She volunteered most of her time to those in need. She spent a lot of her hours at St. Peter & St. Paul's Catholic Church in New Braunfels, working many days assisting in their Thrift shop. She would also help the church and their congregation in every way possible. She was involved in assisting with the elderly at Eden , a place that became dear to her while her Grandmother Hilda Krueger resided at the home. Kathy loved birds and kept a parakeet called Wendi as a constant companion. She was deeply religious, accepting Christ as her savior and attending St. Peter and St. Paul's Catholic Church with her mother Clara whenever possible. Christmas was her most favorite time of the year. She adored spending time with her family, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and playing "Santa's little elf" on Christmas Eve for the family gathering. She will be deeply missed by all, she was our little angel. Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Lt. Col. Vincent Huebinger; grandparents, Milton and Hilda Krueger; grandparents, John and Rosalie Huebinger; and brother, Thomas G. Huebinger She was survived by her mother, Clara Marie Huebinger; brother, Vincent G. Huebinger, and wife Sherry; nephew, Chase Allen Huebinger; niece, Tannah Huebinger; nephew, Thomas Ray Huebinger and wife Lida; and nephew, Travis Huebinger. A Visitation will be held at Zoeller on , 10, 2016 from 5:00pm-9:00pm, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. The Mass will be celebrated on , 11, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Peter and St. Pauls Catholic Church. A Reception will immediately follow the Mass at St. Marys Hall. Obituary: Following a courageous battle with a long illness, Anton Charles Chuck Huebinger, peacefully passed from this life on 2, 2008 at his home in Wimberley, Texas. He was born in Marion, Texas on Feb 24, 1927 to Ernst and Frieda Huebinger. He graduated from Marion High School in 1944 as valedictorian of his class. serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, he received his BBA in accounting from St. Marys University in 1950. The youngest of five children, he is survived by his sister Elsie Gessling of Alice, TX and brother Erno Huebinger of Seguin, Tx. He was preceded in death by brother Melvin Huebinger and sister Alice Heidelberg. Chuck married the love of his life, Betty Calogero Huebinger in 1949 and had four children;Vicki and husband Monty Goff of Austin, Patti and husband Mark Anderson of Manistee, MI, Cindy and husband Bob Edwards of Austin, and Tom Huebinger and wife Rebecca of Katy. In addition to his wife and children Chuck is survived by five grandchildren, Katherine Goff, Wes Edwards, Clay Huebinger, Rachael Edwards, and Claire Huebinger. Chuck was the true outdoorsman, filling his life with hunting and fishing on his ranch. He was a valiant man, with a kind heart and gentle spirit. His service to the community included Alhambra, Kiwanis Club, Lions Club and served on the board of Wimberley Institute of Cultures. Chuck and Betty raised their family in Corpus Christi, TX, where he retired as CFO for Memorial Medical in 1992. Following retirement, Chuck and Betty moved to Wimberley, TX where they share many great friendships. Obituary: Lydia was born on 25, 1920 in Weimar, Texas. We had to say goodbye, for now, on 22, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elo F. Huebel, her parents, eleven siblings, two great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was a devoted and loving mother. Obituary: John Huebel of Lake Jackson died peacefully in his home on 9, 2014. He was 94 years old at the time of his death. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on 15 at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Jackson. John was born in Columbus, TX to John and Annie (Struss) Huebel on 27, 1919. He grew up in Glidden, TX where his father worked for Galveston, Harrisburg & San Antonio Railway as a switchman and switch foreman. Johns father was killed in a railroad accident in 1926, John and his older brother, Leon, were raised by their mother in Glidden. He attended school in Columbus and was quarterback and co-captain for the Columbus Cardinal football team when they were 1935 district champions. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1936. John Huebel was an Aggie! His older brother, Leon, graduated from A&M of Texas in 1933 and paid for Johns tuition, room and board at A&M. John was Captain of B Chemical Warfare Service and graduated from A&M with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1940. Wooop! During his time at A&M, John met his future wife, Mary Katherine Adams, a student at Texas State for Women in Denton. college, John was employed in the oil business in West Texas until 10, 1941 when he was called into active duty following the attack on Pearl Harbor. As a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, he served radar installations as an Aircraft Warning Officer in the Signal Corps and was stationed on the islands of Hawaii and Iwo Jima. John and Mary K were married in Honey Grove, TX in 1946 and they soon moved to Columbus where John managed his Uncle Willies movie theater and learned the movie business. In 1952, John and Mary K purchased the Lake Theatre, a movie house in Lake Jackson owned by Dow Chemical . As one of the first small business owners in Lake Jackson, John was well known by members of the community for his many contributions to the young city of Lake Jackson, including his many positive influences on the young people who attended movies at the theatre. Not only did John manage the behavior of movie goers during a matinee or on a date night, he also employed many area young people to pass out show circulars, take tickets, sell candy, or provide general operational support for the small business. retiring from the movie business, John was often approached by people who began their conversations with words such as, Mr. Huebel, do you remember when you advised me to\ you taught me to\ you kicked me out of the theater for\ ? And, the conversations inevitably ended with hank you. John was instrumental in the founding of Riverside Country Club and was especially proud of his work during the design of the number 11 hole of the golf course. He was an avid golfer who worked tirelessly to improve his skill. In his later life he would often shoot his age as he pursued this hobby. John loved competitive sports of all kinds and was a devoted fan of the Texas Aggies. He also was a passionate hunter. As a young boy, he learned to hunt with his Uncle Willie, and as an adult committed time and resources to this sport. He hunted with his core group of friends every year for decades, and organized the family hunt for his son, son-in-law, and grandsons. Regarding he hunt, one of his grandsons wrote, getting up early\ sitting around\eating leftovers\ and getting advice. It was the little things that made the memory strong\ he family strong. John was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Mary K Huebel , and his son, Robert Lee Huebel of Clear Lake. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Katy and Buzz Pruitt of Station; his daughter-in-law Laura Huebel of Clear Lake; granddaughter Emily Johns and husband Chuck of Santa Clarita, CA; grandsons John Arlen Pruitt and wife Sandi of Dallas; Ross Huebel and wife Elizabeth of Anchorage, AK; Wilson Pruitt and wife Alina of Smithville, TX; and Adam Huebel and wife Danielle of Fordham, England. He is also survived by 5+ great-grandchildren- Maddie Johns and Macy Johns of Santa Clarita, CA, Rowan Pruitt of Dallas, Dominic Pruitt of Smithville, Madison Huebel of Fordham, England, and one Huebel on the way in Anchorage, AK.
