Obituary: Carol Jean Fulton Holland, born 7, 1934 in San Antonio, Texas went to be with our Lord on 23, 2012 at the age of 78. She was the daughter of Carroll Benjamin and Elva Jeanne Starr Fulton. Carol is survived by her husband of 56 years, W. Lamoine Holland and her two children, Michael Lamoine Holland and his wife, Rhonda and Nancy Holland Billups and her husband, Jaime. She is also survived by five beautiful grandchildren, Troy, Cray and Mason Holland and Bailey and Audrey Billups as well as her brother, Michael Fulton and her sister, Pat Fulton Pizzini. graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School, Carol attended SMU before marrying Rice graduate, Lamoine Holland her senior year. Upon her graduation from SMU, Carol and Lamoine traveled to Hanau, Germany where they lived during the first year of their marriage while Lamoine served in the United States Army. Returning to San Antonio, Carol taught high school English. In 1979, after successfully raising two children during the turbulent 60s and 70s, Carol chose to start law school at the age of 47. Graduating from St. Marys Law School, Carol practiced law in San Antonio for several years. She was a member of the Texas Bar Association, the Junior League of San Antonio (serving as the Chairman of the successful Jubilee 73), the San Antonio Country Club and the Battle of the Flowers Parade Association. Carol was a devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all. Carol was a kind and loving person who had time for anyone, anytime they needed help or just someone to talk to. Her many friends and family members will miss her kindness and wonderful sense of humor. Burial will be private for the family. MEMORIAL SERVICE SATURDAY OCTOBER 27, 2012 3:00 P.M. ST. Obituary: Bill James Holland of Desoto, TX passed away on 29, 2015 in Dallas, TX. Visitation will be held on , 5, from 6-8 PM and services held on , 6, at 10 AM at Laurel Land in Dallas. Interment will immediately follow at Holy Redeemer in Desoto, TX. Bill was born on 27, 1927 to Bill and Lorene (Williamson) Holland in Dallas, TX. He graduated from Adamson High School in Dallas in 1946. He worked at Atlas Roofing & Sheet Metal, for over 40 years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason at the (then) Buckner Masonic Lodge, a former President of Desoto Lions Club and a lifelong member of various Churches of Christ. Bill left us many precious memories and will be greatly missed. Bill was dearly beloved by his surviving family: son, Michael Holland and wife Charlotte; step-children: Terri Whitsell and husband Gary, Marshall Cobbs and wife Belinda, Pam Vincent and husband Scott and Larry Cobbs and wife Diane. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make a donation in honor of Bill Holland may do so at the Alzheimer’s Association. |
