Obituary: Christopher Eric Holdridge, of San Angelo, went to be with his Lord and Savior on 4, 2016, at the age of 45. He died of heart failure at Shannon Medical with his family by his side. Chris was born at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He was a 1988 graduate of Central High School and then attended Angelo State for three years. While in college he became very interested in martial arts and developed a great respect for the style, Goju-Ryu and an equal respect for his instructor. Chris loved little league baseball and he played T-ball through senior ball and then later umpired. His favorite baseball team was the San Francisco Giants and some of his fondest memories were traveling to California to visit his maternal grandparents and going to games at Candlestick Park. He also loved traveling to Ruidoso and enjoying the mountains with his family at their vacation home. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan and whether they were winning or losing, you could hear Chris from two houses away. If you knew Chris, you know one thing he got a real kick out of was messing with people's minds (because he could) and that lasted right up until the end. A nurse in the ICU came to draw yet another blood sample and asked him to give her his full name and date of birth. He rattled off, "David Scott Mustaine, 9/13/61", his favorite musician, which totally baffled the poor girl. Chris was definitely one of a kind. He had a brilliant mind, a sharp wit, and despite his tough exterior, a very soft heart. He was fiercely loyal to his true friends and if they ever needed him, he always had their back. He loved hunting, he loved loud music, he loved jeeps and most of all he loved his family. Words cannot describe how much he will be missed. Chris was preceded in death by his brother Jerry Lynn Willis; dear friend John D. Jackson; and aunt Judith Gausnell. Chris is survived by his parents Dr. Rick and Becky Holdridge; brother Mike Holdridge; sister Dr. Myndie Willis-Johnson and husband JW Johnson; nephew Conner Gochenauer and wife Kaitlyn, all of San Angelo. He is also survived by his nephew Ashton Holdridge, currently in college in Pine Bluff, Arkansas; uncle Randall Holdridge of Tuscon, Arizona; aunt Amy etti and husband Gary of San Diego, California; cousins Laura and Joi etti and his beloved dogs Shotgun and Rebel. The family will be having a private ceremony in celebration Chris' life with Jim Benson officiating. Obituary: Memorial service for Mr. Virgil Franklin Holdman, of Tool, will be held , 31, 2015 at 3pm at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Chapel in Kemp, Texas with Murle Ware officiating. Virgil was born on 12, 1932 in Fabens, Texas to parents Albert Holdman and Ruby Laney Holdman and entered into eternal rest on 27, 2015 at the age of 82. Virgil was known to his family and friends as “Big Virg”. He was an excellent husband, father and grandfather. Big Virg loved his family and his great-grandson was his life. He loved eating enchiladas and drinking coffee. Big Virg enjoyed being on his deer lease hunting; loved playing pool and poker. He served in the National Guard for 13 years. Big Virg started working in the newspaper business at the young age of 12. He worked as a printer for Pecos Enterprise, Abilene Reporter News and retired from The Dallas Morning News. Big Virg served on the City Council in W. Tawakoni for 2 years, was a Master Mason at Lone Oak Lodge, Quinlan ISD School board for 13 years and volunteer for Desdemona Fire Dept. He was a Baptist by faith. Big Virg was a loving caring man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Big Virg was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jerry Holdman. He is survived by the love of his life for 63 years; Jo Holdman of Tool, son Virgil Holdman Jr. of Luckenbach, son Dale Holdman and life partner Richard McDonough of Dallas, grandson Kristopher Holdman and wife Sarah of Rockwall, grandson Virgil (Trey) Holdman III of Stephenville, granddaughter Taylor Bouchier of North Carolina, great-grandson Tanner Holdman, brother Albert Holdman of Sundown, Texas, Larry Holdman of Sundown, Texas, sister Ethel Green and husband Paul of Sundown, Texas, three very special nephews; Murle, Terry and Davis, a host of extended family and friends.
