Obituary: services for Charles Donald Don Hill, 82, of Tyler will be 2:00 P.M. , May 3, 2014, at Lloyd James Chapel with Rev. Royce Savage officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell . Mr. Hill was born on 9, 1932 in Nacogdoches to the late Virgil W. and Mary Lou Hardy Hill. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving in Korea. He married the love of his life, Mary Frances Hitt. He was an active member of the Noonday United Methodist Church and a school teacher. He worked for Associates Financial Services for many years, Universal Bank & Trust in Dallas, Texas Bank and Trust in Longview, and retired from First Federal Savings and Loan in Longview as a lending officer. Mr. Hill was a charter member of AMBUCs of Longview, Meals on Wheels of Longview and Noonday for many years. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mary Frances Hill, of Tyler; granddaughter, Uyen Tran Parsons and husband, Colby, of Denton; Uyens parents, Cuong and Thuy Tran, of Longview; nieces, Kay Welch and husband, Ronnie, of Chandler and Teddie Sue Gilley and husband, Jim of Wills Point; nephews, Steve King and wife, Debbie of Overland Park, Kansas; Glen Williams and wife, Janet of Whitehouse and Scott King and wife, Terrie of Tyler. Mr. Hill is also survived by nine great-nieces and great-nephews and three great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. There will be a visitation on , May 2, 2014, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Noonday United Methodist Church, 17320 Hwy. 155 S., Flint, TX. 75762; or Integra Hospice, 1750 Enterprise St. #100, Athens, TX. 75751; or The Alzheimers Foundation. |

Obituary: Carolyn McCorkle Hill passed away 7, 2011 after a lengthy illness. She was born and raised in Lubbock where she graduated from Lubbock High School in 1953. She also attended Abilene Christian University and Texas Tech University. She was involved in church outreach and was a life-long member of Broadway Church of Christ. Her parents were James Buryl and Lucille McCorkle. Carolyn was a devoted, beloved mother and grandmother. She is survived by her sister, Sara Kay McCorkle and three children: James Lennon Hill, married to Caryn Hill, John Chris Hill, married to Sheri Hill, and Holly Ann Clark, married to Jonathan Clark. She has nine grandchildren: Brittany Holmes, married to Jonathan Holmes, Cayle Hill, engaged to Blake Myers, Kyle Hill, Alex Hill, Kristen Hill, Nathan Hill, Brendan Clark, Kade Clark, and Kyndall Clark. A graveside service will take place on Thurs. 10, 2011, at 1:00 PM in Resthaven Memorial Park, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Broadway Church of Christ. Visitation will be held on Wed. 9, 2011, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Resthaven .
