Mr. Heufelder was born in Beaumont, TX on May 29, 1929. He was self-employed as a brick layer. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church of LA Porte, TX. He enjoyed making custom fishing rods and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Otto Heufelder, Sr. and Pauline Spears. A daughter, Shirley Heufelder, brother, Fritz Heufelder and two sisters, Peggy Koch and Janette Jannise.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Heufelder of LA Porte, TX. Sons, Donnie Heufelder and his wife Tobie of Glibert, AZ, Ron Heufelder and his wife Sue of Lumberton, TX, Chris Heufelder and his wife Donna of Silsbee, TX and Robert Heufelder and his wife Toni of Lumberton, TX. One step son Jim Whiteside of LA Porte, TX. Two sisters, Della Langston and Jennie Scalfano. Nine grandchildren; Ryan Heufelder, Clayton Heufelder, Jason Heufelder, Niki Heufelder, Kelly Heufelder, Abby Heufelder, Halle Heufelder, Caitlyn Heufelder and Cameron McDaniels. Three great grandchildren, Tyler Heufelder, Ashlyn Heufelder and Alexis Bell.

Obituary: Chester Robert Heuerman, age 93, passed away on Oct. 19, 2010 in Austin, Texas. There will not be a funeral or memorial service in honor of his wishes.

He was in the Caterpillar apprentice program in Illinois, served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II, was the owner of a grocery store, and pizza delivery business, worked as a salesman for a television station in Florida and a Ford dealership in Illinois, was a mailman, and a marshal at a golf course. He was affiliated with the Methodist faith all his life. He helped with and was on the board of charitable organizations.

Mr. Heuerman was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, his first wife Ann, and his son Jack Cramer-Heuerman. His surviving family members include wife, Tootsie; her two daughters, Linda and Maryfrances along with their husbands and 3 grandchildren; his daughter, Sharon Reeves and her husband Denny; a grandson, Jeff; a great-granddaughter, Jensyn; and a granddaughter, Michelle, and daughter- in-law, Janet Eggleston. He is also survived by his sister, Iona Lueck, and many other relatives and friends.

We wish to acknowledge the excellent care he received at St. Davids Hospital in Round Rock and Hospice.

Obituary: Marion Lucille Heuer, age 91, died in Houston, Texas on 9, 2012. She was born on 30, 1921 in Chatfield Minnesota to Clarence and Jessie Miller. Marion had a distinguished career working in various administrative capacities for the Atomic Energy Commission / Department of Energy and their contractors from 1944 until 1990. During that time, she worked at three different atomic weapons facilities including Hanover, Washington, Los Alamos, New Mexico and Amarillo, Texas. She retired from the Department of Energy in Germantown, Maryland and moved to Kannapolis, North Carolina before moving to Houston, Texas. She made many lasting friendships at each stop along the way.
Marion was a strong woman who provided guidance and direction for her family. No matter the circumstances, she would always be there to listen, advise and help. She enjoyed all kinds of social activities especially those with church family, neighbors and co-workers. She greatly enjoyed her bridge club at the Buckingham. Perhaps her greatest passion was keeping up with the activities and lives of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Reinhardt Weldon Heuer, and son, William Heuer. She is survived by her daughter Vickie Holder and her husband Richard of Huntsville, Alabama; son Duane Heuer and his wife Janice of Bellaire, Texas; grandchildren Renee Cox, Derek Ingersoll and his wife Elaine, Rae Heuer, and Jared Heuer; great grandchildren Harper Cox, Bailey Cox, and Sarah Ingersoll; and sister Norma Schad and her husband Clayton of Edens Prairie Minnesota.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on 16, 2012 at Bellaire United Methodist Church, 4417 Bellaire Blvd., Bellaire, Texas 77401 and the family will receive visitors at a reception immediately following at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Memphis, Tennessee 38148 or Bellaire United Methodist Church.

Obituary: Lawrence F. Heuchert, 90, passed away 26, 2014 in Houston, Texas. He was born 7, 1924 in Stirum, North Dakota to Rev. Karl Heuchert and Amanda Lueker.

Lawrence spent his youth and graduated from high school in Henning, Minnesota. He then attended and graduated from Concordia Lutheran Seminary in Springfield, Illinois. Rev. Heuchert served as a pastor for over 30 years. He built one of his first churches from the ground up in Delmar, New York and went on to serve parishes in Bayshore, New York, Smithtown, New York, Litchfield, Illinois, Lyons, Kansas, and Lexington, Texas. retiring, he went to work for Tex-Fab in Cypress, Texas.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Esther Heuchert Meichsner and Lorene Heuchert Cordes; brothers Vernon, Leonard and Charles Heuchert; and granddaughter Kimberly Ann Jatzlau.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn B. Hartland who nursed him through Alzheimers disease for many years; daughters Susan Heuchert of Palm Harbor, Florida, Lois Heuchert of Portage, Michigan and Pamela Heuchert Jatzlau of Lexington, Texas; grandchildren Eric Jatzlau of San Marcos, Texas, Jamie Jatzlau of Houston and Emily Jatzlau of Lexington, Texas; stepdaughters Donna Lyon of Houston and Dianne Bialas of Rosenberg, Texas; several step grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

The family offers their thanks and gratitude to Frances Caldwell for her heartfelt care of Lawrence.

A Memorial Service will be , 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM at St. Martins Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road, Houston, Texas 77056, Rev. Martin J. Bastian officiating.

Obituary: Betty Jean BJ Hetzel, 84, of Bastrop, Texas went to be with the Lord on May 21, 2015. Betty was born on 11, 1930 to Philip and Ruth (Tryon) Van Drooge in Moline, IL. The VanDrooge family moved to Smithville, Texas when Betty was a young girl. In 1942 her family moved to Alamo, Texas. Betty married Jerry Lee Geery in Alamo, Texas in of 1949. had four boys: Wade, Pat, Jim and Mike. Mike was only 18 days old when Jerry Lee lost his life in a tragic train accident. Now a single mother of four boys under the age of five, Betty went back to school. While working part-time as a telephone operator and full time as a mother, she earned her college degree in just three years. She graduated with honors, receiving a degree in education from Pan Am University.

Betty taught English in the Pharr, San Juan, Alamo School District from 1959 to 1961. She moved the boys to Austin in 1961 and taught in the Austin School District until her retirement in 1985. During her early career in Austin, she re-married and may be remembered as Mrs. Box by some of her former students.

Betty met George Skeeter Hetzel at a Parents Without Partners Meeting and they were married in May of 1972. Skeeter brought five children into the marriage. There were two more boys to love (Steve and Mark) and the daughters she always wanted (Georgia, Kellye and Shellye). Their nine children ranged from 22 - 8 years of age.
retirement in 1985, Betty and Skeeter moved to Bastrop to build their log cabin in the woods of Tahitian Village. The project grew into a beautiful two-story log home. bought a Chinook motor home and set out to explore the country. traveled extensively and particularly enjoyed the sights along the Blue Ridge Parkway, Sedona, Arizona and Mesa Verde, Colorado as well as Yellowstone National Park.

A self- taught gardener, Betty was a member of garden clubs in Austin and Bastrop. She loved antiques and was a member of the Bastrop Historical Society. Other memberships included Bastrop Professional Womens Organization, and two Red Hat Societies: Golden Girls and Bodacious Babes. Betty was also a long standing, and very active member of the Calvary Episcopal Church congregation.

She was very active in the Bastrop community. Volunteering was a big part of Bettys life. In addition to her membership in the organizations listed previously, she taught English as a Second Language, drove cancer patients to appointments with their doctors and dedicated time and energy to the garden clubs.

In of 2009, after several health issues, Betty moved into Argent Court. She was a much loved and very active resident. She volunteered her time and talents with the landscaping, decorating and seasonal events.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Herbert VanDrooge and husbands Jerry Lee Geery and Skeeter Hetzel. She is survived by her children: Wade Geery (Sue), Pat Geery (Donna), Jim Geery (Dana), Mike Geery (deAnn), Steve Hetzel (Mary Ann), Mark Hetzel (Anna), Georgia Hetzel Flarsheim (Bill), Kellye Hetzel Newton (Ed) and Shellye Hetzel-Schaeffer. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her brother-in-law Phil Geery and his wife Jayne.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Episcopal Church in loving memory of Betty Hetzel.

A Celebration of Bettys life will be held on , 7th at 3PM at Calvary Episcopal Church, 603 Spring Street, Bastrop, Texas 78602.

Obituary: Glenn O. Hettler, 75, went to eternal peace on 8, 2011 after a courageous battle with Prostate Cancer at Vitas Hospice at Memorial City. His beloved wife of 36 years, Rose Mary, was at his side holding his hand at that moment.

He was born on 14, 1935 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania and until 1978, he resided there. Glenn was the son of the late Frank O. Hettler and late Margaret Kass Hettler and was the brother of the late Glada Fern McAvoy. Glenn was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church and was retired from both United States Steel and Memorial Herman System.

In addition to his wife, Rose Mary, Glenn is survived by son Gregory O. Hettler and his wife Debra, son, Gary L. Hettler, daughter, Glenda and grandchildren, Brittany, Catherine J, Danielle, Josh and Ian.
Another love of his life was his beloved dog, Jamie, who also predeceased him.

The family would like to extend gratitude to Dr. Muffaddal Morkas and his staff, Dr. David Mobley and his staff and everyone who cared for him during this five year journey.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6pm until 8pm on , 12th in the chapel of Waltrip Directors where a Vigil service for Glenn will begin at 7pm. The Liturgy will begin at 10am on , 13th at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 10688 Shadow Wood in Houston, 77043.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Catherine of Siena Church, (713) 467-8170.
