Obituary: Debbie Henkel born 24, 1950 in Checotah, Oklahoma went home to be with the Lord on 24, 2015 following a long illness with Multiple Sclerosis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Helen Epperson. She is survived by her husband, Jim Henkel of Georgetown, Texas; daughter, Tammy Rosbrook of Austin, Texas; daughter, Melanie Silvey and her husband, Brian, and two grandchildren, Leanne and Jackson Silvey of Chandler, Arizona. Debbie was one of 8 children, and is survived by her siblings Carl Epperson, Linda Crutchfield, Tommy Epperson, David Epperson, Diane Wilson, Marsha Martinez, and Barbara Jones. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters in-law. While living in Fort Worth, Texas, Debbie met Jim and they began dating when he was stationed in the Air Force. were married 18, 1968. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Colorado where both their daughters were born. Jim and Debbie returned to Texas in 1976, with Jims employer, IBM, to be closer to Debbies family. It was at this time they began attending First Baptist Church Round Rock. Debbie was active in church ministry, teaching school, Vacation Bible School, singing in the church choir, and she even played on the church softball team. When her children were small, Debbie was a stay-at-home mom and was skilled at sewing, knitting, crocheting, making ceramics, canning, and cooking. As her children got older, she pursued her lifelong dream to attend college and work outside the home. She obtained a degree in Accounting and worked as a Comptroller until she went to work for a little-known company at the time called Dell Computers. While at Dell she became a Marketing Manager, and enjoyed a successful career until her illness called her into a new path. Debbie loved the arts, music, dancing, classic movies, working in ministry, and spending time with family and friends. She embraced people from all different walks of life, cultures, and loved exploring the world through her friendships with them. One of Debbies quotes was Don just go through life, live it. She spent as much of her life as she could pursuing her dreams and goals. A memorial service and celebration of Debbies life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on , 29, 2015 at First Baptist Church at 306 Round Rock Avenue in Round Rock, Texas. Obituary: Walter Hubert Henke Born 25, 1933 in a farmhouse in Hobson, Texas. Walter was a hardworking man from his earliest years as a farmers son. High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, proudly serving his country during the Korean War. his honorable discharge and obtaining his A&P certificates, Walter settled in Pasadena. He is a long-time parishioner of St. Pius V Catholic Church and a Third-Degree Knight of Columbus. In 1966, he married the love of his life, Mary Ellen Mitchell, and together they raised daughters Karen Potts Wanjura and Charlotte Henke Kistler. Walters passion for aviation landed him in a 38 year career with Trans-Texas Airways, Texas International, and Continental Airlines. He devoted himself to mentoring others and leaving a legacy of hard work and excellence. Walter passed away peacefully with his family by his side on 15, 2015. Walter was preceded in death by his wife Mary, four siblings: Mary Siefert, Laura Kuhnel, Sylvia Young, and Raymond Henke. He is survived by his siblings, Alice Dylla, Grace Hons, Charlene Lanum, and Stella Blanchard; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Mike Wanjura and Charlotte and Pat Kistler, 8 grandchildren; Christi Wanjura Lyle, Jennifer Wanjura, Elizabeth Norris, Dylan Norris, Logan Norris, Savannah Rodriguez , Jessica Kistler and Katherine Kistler; and 6 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on , 18, 2015 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with a Rosary to start at 7:00pm at Grand View , 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505. Mass will be held , 19, 2015 at 12:30pm at St. Pius V Catholic Church 824 Main St., Pasadena, Texas 77506. Interment to follow at Grand View Memorial Park. Obituary: Robbie Lynn Henke passed away on , 8, 2011. She was born in Westhoff, Texas on 10, 1942 and graduated from Karnes City High School in May 1959. She is preceded by her husband, Hubert F. Henke of Fashing, Texas and her mother Grace Martin. Robbie is survived by her daughter Rebecca Godinez and husband Felipe, sons James and wife Sondra, and Winston and wife Stephanie; her three grandchildren, Matthew Henke, Joshua Octobre and Angelica Godinez; and her loving sister Margret Sutton - all of Houston, Texas - along with many other friends and family. One of Robbies greatest joys in life was playing the organ at St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Karnes, City, Texas where she regularly accompanied the choir and performed at special events. Robbie also enjoyed preserving fresh fruits and vegetables from the backyard garden and baking. Her grape jelly and pecan pie were not to be missed! She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving, where the dressing (not the turkey) was the center of attention. Robbie will be forever in our memory as a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Obituary: REFUGIO-Virginia “Karen” Henke, age 74 of Refugio, Texas passed away , 17, 2016. Karen was born on 30, 1941 in New Bern, North Carolina to the late Harvey Duguid McLawhorn and Virginia Taylor McLawhorn. Karen attended East Carolina University where she received a double-major in Art and focused her career on art education. She has taught and influenced numerous students and fellow artists from Camp Lejeune, North Carolina to Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and Corpus Christi by always providing encouragement to express your unspoken thoughts through your art and creations. In addition to her love of painting, Karen enjoyed spending time with her family, photography, travel, and fishing in Rockport, Texas. Karen was also a member of the Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church and Altar Society. Karen is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jim Henke; daughters Jennifer (Brian) Kassa of Keller, Texas and Meredith (Jeff) Clark and granddaughter Madelyn Clark of Southlake, Texas; brother Claude McLawhorn of Vanceboro, North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Harvey Richard McLawhorn. A rosary will be held on , 30, 2016 at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church in Refugio at 10:00 AM.
