Obituary: My name is Mary Josephine Hendrix. I took the hand of the Lord on , 18, 2016 at the age of 92. Graveside service 2 pm at Laurel Land Memorial Park. My family will welcome visitors and guests from 12 pm until 2 pm at Laurel Land in Fort Worth. I was born in Alvarado to Charlie and Amy Packwood on 5, 1924. I graduated from Fort Worth Polytechnic High School in 1943 and went to work for Montgomery Ward soon afterwards. God sent me Odean Hendrix and on 29, 1961 we were married at the courthouse in Cleburne. We shared 43 wonderful years of marriage. I retired from Montgomery Ward in 1986 after 43 years. I have joined in Heaven my husband, Odean; parents and a sister, Earlene Tucker. I have left behind to remember me my children, Johnny Hendrix and wife Fredia, Cynthia Grue and husband Robert, Mary Huff and husband David; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, extended family and dear friends. |

Services have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m., , 17, 2011 at Hampton Vaughan Chapel officiated by Reverend Bill Pursley. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. Mark was born May 6, 1952 in Wichita Falls to Brice E. and Annabelle Alexander Hendrix who preceded him in death. He retired from the United States Army after serving during the Vietnam War and Desert Storm. He married Judy Ann Swafford in Wichita Falls 22, 1973 and together they raised two sons. He was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church. He loved to fish and to cook. In his teenage years he was a drummer of the band he formed which led to his great love of music throughout his life. He loved his family and especially spending time with his two granddaughters. Obituary: Lady Susy Hendrix, 85, affectionately known by her family as Nona, passed away on , 19, 2017, at her home with her loved ones by her side. Susy was born in Tripoli, Libya, North Africa on 10, 1931, to Ada and Peppino Arbib. growing up in Tripoli and Rome, Italy, she went on to work at the United States Embassy in Tripoli, where she would meet her future husband, Herbert O. Hendrix. were married on 10, 1959. living in Tripoli and London, England, Susy and Herb settled in Houston with their daughter, Elisa. Susy led a life of pure joy. Her passions included traveling, cooking and most importantly, family. She and Herb took their family on many trips and on holidays their house was the place to be. Nona and Pop, as they were lovingly known, were eagerly involved in their grandchildrens lives and enjoyed attending all of Ryan and Deans activities. Susy was preceded in death by her daughter, Elisa Hendrix McLennan, and her husband, Herbert O. Hendrix. Obituary: John Casey Hendrix died 27, 2015, at his home in Deer Park, Texas. He passed into eternity after a long, heroic battle with cancer. He was 68 years old. John was born on 21, 1946, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and grew up in the suburb of Baker. He moved back to the capital city and lived there until 1989, when he moved to Deer Park with his family. Following his graduation from Baker High School in 1964, John attended Louisiana State University and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. He was stationed in Germany for about two years and later began a distinguished career in the petrochemical industry that took him to other places all around the world. He retired in 2012 from Ethyl Corporation after nearly 40 years of faithful service, and then briefly volunteered at the welcome desk of a local hospital. An avid outdoorsman throughout his life, John enjoyed hunting, hiking, camping, and, most of all, kayaking. His absolute joy was to do all these activities with the family and friends he loved so dearly --- and to laugh heartily all along the way. To celebrate the beauty of Gods creation was an extension of his Christian faith, rooted and established in the gracious salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was an active member of First Baptist Church Pasadena for the last decade. John is survived by his loving wife, Janet Lynn Hendrix; son Wade Maclean and wife, Rachel, of Lumberton, TX; daughter Mindy O'Bannon and husband, Tom, of Cypress, TX; daughter Jan Denby and husband Jason of Deer Park, TX; son Casey Hendrix and wife Jeni of Deer Park, TX; and eight beloved grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Casey Jones Hendrix; mother, Louise Thomas Hendrix; and brother, James Michael Hendrix.
