Obituary: Kathryn Lee Fogleman Heitman, passed away on 4, 2011, two days prior to her 89th birthday. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, Eileen Oge Fogleman and John Lee Fogleman, her sisters, Beverly Fogleman and Alice Fogleman Lagroue and by her beloved husband and love of her life, Talmage M. Heitman, Jr.

Kathryn and Talmage leave behind an estate of wealth that is measured beyond any physical property value: a loving family in three generations that survive them.

Born in Opelousas, Louisiana on 6, 1922, Tassie (as she was affectionately called by her family), attended school in different southern Louisiana towns as she accompanied her mother to job locations. She received her high school diploma from the Academy of the Immaculate Conception (AIC) in Opelousas in 1939.

She graduated with an R.N. degree from Hotel Dieu of (Beaumont, Texas) in May of 1943 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy, remaining on active duty until 1946. Kathryn proudly served her country during World War II, a Lieutenant J-G in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps. Honorably discharged, Kathryn continued her nursing career in Katy, Texas and later in Houston, becoming a life-long Houston resident after her marriage to Talmage in of 1947.

Kathryns distinguished military service records are chronicled at the Women in Military Service for America Memorial in Washington, D.C. She was a member of the Catholic War Veterans, an active member of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church (until 2008), a member of the Seabrook Sailing Club, and belonged to several AARP chapters, where she enjoyed traveling and very special friendships. She was an avid gardener and loved tinkering in her yard.

Known to her husband as Lil One, her children as Mama, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as Mama Kay, Kathryn was one of a kind, beloved to all who knew her and especially to her family who will miss her love and support.

Kathryn is survived by her sister: Peggy Bordelon Landry; half-sister: Barbara Fogleman Allison; four children: Jane Heitman MacDonald and husband James R., of McKinney, Texas, Caroll Jordan Hatcher and husband, Thomas Y., of Las Vegas, Nevada, Karl W. Heitman and wife Joy M., of Barrington, Illinois, Mary Heitman Jones and husband, Kim W., of Houston, Texas; ten grandchildren: Shannon C. MacDonald, Alec B. MacDonald and wife Laura, Jeremy B. Jordan and wife Amy, Erik W. Heitman and wife Annie, Paul A. Heitman and wife Elitsa, Sarah E. Heitman, Todd M. Heitman, Kyle W. Jones and wife Megan, Blake A. Jones and wife Holly, Phillip E. Jones; and nine great-grandchildren: Jeremiah and Paul Jordan, Emily and Abigail MacDonald, Madeline and Margot Heitman, Karl and Grant Heitman, and Claire Jones. The family would like to thank her devoted daughter and caregiver, Mary Heitman Jones, who brought so much joy and happiness to her life during her golden years. Also, a special acknowledgement to the staff of The Village at Gleannloch Farm, especially the Certified Assistants who always made her feel special.

Obituary: Johnny Heitman (1938-2015) a short, but brave fight with a sudden illness, Johnny Heitman passed away on 17, 2015, surrounded by his wife, daughter and son-in law. Johnny was born on 7, 1938, in Sugar Land, Texas, to Henry Heitman, Sr., and Frances Trojanowski-Heitman. Johnny attended Sugar Land High School graduating in 1957. Upon graduating high school, Johnny began a very long career working as a mechanic for the Imperial Sugar in Sugar Land, Texas, giving 46 years of service before the Sugar Land factory closed in 2003. Johnny served in the Army Reserves for four years. He was also a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus St. Basil Council 4204 in Sugar Land. Johnny loved to hunt and fish; loved playing softball, bowling and golf. In the prime of his life, if there was a sport being played at a family gathering, he was going to be right in the center of the action. He was a family man, always there for his wife and daughter, enjoying summer family vacations which consisted of road trips all over the country. He also had a love of vegetable gardening, eating what he could and giving the rest away to neighbors and friends. He loved to be outside in the yard, mowing his lawn, trimming his trees and also helping his daughter with yard work at her house. Father and daughter bonded over dirt under the nails, many days of hard work and chicken pot pie lunches at Cracker Barrel. He loved riding the bus to Louisiana with family and friends, playing the slot machines at numerous casinos and when he came home, he would give you an ear full about all the good food. Any time he ate a good meal he would let people know about it. Johnny is survived by his wife of 51 years Dolares, their daughter, Melinda and son-in-law, Steven Schleicher; his beloved grand birds as he called them, Shamrock and Oliver; his brothers, Frank Heitman, Sr.; Henry Heitman, Jr., and wife Helen; Carlos Heitman and wife Jeanette; his sisters, Josephine Anderson, and husband Leon; and Peggy Kenvin, and husband Ken. He is also survived by aunts, numerous nephews and nieces. Preceding him in death are his parents, his sister Sofie Rapoza; nephew Frank Heitman, Jr., and niece Karen Mehlenbacher. A Mass will be held , 22, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Theresas Catholic Church in Sugar Land. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Edna Earl Heitman, loving wife, Mother and “Granny” was born 16, 1918 and went to be with her Lord 29, 2014 at the age of 96. Obituary: Agnes Eleanor Heitman, age 87, of Greenville, SC entered into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on 7, 2007. Agnes, known fondly by her nickname Sponi, was born on 19, 1919, in Chicago, IL to Godly parents Carl and Anna Spongberg. She was married to Paul F. Heitman on 18, 1943, in Chicago, IL. She had been living in Greenville for the past 5 years where she attended Horizon Church. Previously, she was a resident of San Antonio, TX for 30 years where she was a member of River City Community Church. Sponi was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, friend, a woman of many talents and a faithful wife supporting the successful career of her husband. Already an accomplished pianist, she went on to graduate from Southwestern University Weatherford, OK with a music degree becoming a talented vocalist. Sponi was also a Bible Teacher and the President of the Protestant Women of the Chapel. While she excelled in all areas, she is best known for her love for others, ministering and reaching out with the love of Jesus Christ. Sponi was Christ-like in her thought and actions, demonstrating love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones and many friends across the country. Sponi was preceded into the throne room of God by her beloved husband of 33 years, Col. Paul F. Obituary: Michael Mike Heitkamp passed away on at the University Hospital at the age of 56 years.

He grew up in Bracken, where his parents owned the Bracken Grocery Store. He was a graduate of Canyon High School and Texas State University. He was a sheriffs deputy for Comal for several years before joining the Texas Department of Public Safety as a Highway Patrol Officer. He retired from the DPS in 2007.

He is preceded in death by his father, Roland Heitkamp, and his sister, Barbara (Bobbie) Peace.

He is survived by two daughters, Shelby Heitkamp of Bulverde, Texas, and Ashley Triffet of Missouri; mother, Alice Heitkamp of New Braunfels; nephews Keith Peace, Larry Peace and Kevin Peace; niece Lane Schmidt and numerous great nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held on , 17, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Zoeller . Services will conclude in the chapel. The family has requested that memorial contributions in memory of Mike be given to his daughters college fund.
