Obituary: William Boyd Bill Heffington, age 83, passed away at his home in Marble Falls, TX on , 12, 2015. He was born May 17, 1931 to Ira Boyd and Beulah Beatrice Hays Heffington in Smithwick, TX. Bill graduated from Marble Falls High School in 1949 and on Valentine's Day of 1953, he married Ada Mae Harris of Bertram, TX. were married 62 years. Bill served in the US Army in South Korea from 1953 to 1954. returning home, he and Adamoved to Houston, TX where he worked at the Shell Oil refinery. a major layoff there, he becameinvolved in appliance sales and repair, and finished his careers in Houston as a supervisor and construction manager in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry. During their 30 years in Houston, Bill and Ada made many friends and together raised their four children. In 1983, they returned to Smithwick, TX and Bill and his brother, Lyndon worked together at Heffington Appliance in Marble Falls. Bill later branched off to own Bill Heffington Appliance and served the Burnet area until he retired in 2008. During his lifetime, Bill's interests included auto racing, fishing, deer hunting, playing 42, and live music, and he could repair any engine, big or small. Most of all, Bill loved spending time with his and Ada's families and their own children and grandchildren. Many, who had no biological ties, called him rother, dad, uncle and grandpa, and he cherished them all; but most importantly, they all cherished him. He will be missed. Bill is survived by his wife, Ada Mae; daughter Donna Kay and her husband Steve Palousek of Holland, TX; son Timothy Price Heffington and his wife, Melissa Missy of Houston, TX; son William Boyd Jr. BJ Heffington and his girlfriend, Bernadette Gallegos of Houston, TX; daughter Leslie Anna and her husband Scott Payne of Marble Falls, TX. He was the proud grandfather to Marshall, Mitchell and Maverick Payne, Bethany Heffington, Clayton and Ray Palousek, Austin Phelps and honorary grandchildren Sedrick and Jamail Malone. He is also survived by sister-in-law Ruth Heffington of Marble Falls; sister Shirley and her husband Jack Rogers of Marble Falls, sister Pasty Gray of Waco, TX; brother Lesley Dwayne Heffington and his wife Betty of Kingland, TX; brother-in-law Junior Harris and his wife Nelda of Bertram, TX; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd and Beulah Heffington, brother Lyndon Heffington and brother-in-law Leonard Gray. Visitation will be 6:00-9:00 PM , 15, 2015 at Clements Wilcox in Marble Falls. service will be , 16, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Clements Wilcox with Scott Payne officiating. Obituary: Ruth LaFern Heffington, longtime resident of Marble Falls, died , 19 with her family by her side. She was born to Paul James and Beulah Violet Riley on 2, 1935. She graduated from Marble Falls High School in 1954, and married the love of her life, Dave Lyndon Heffington in 1956. She and Lyndon started Heffington Services in the early 70's. For the last 20 years, Ruth has owned and operated Ruths Business Service, where so many Hill Country residents and businesses knew they could count on her for careful and thoughtful bookkeeping and tax preparation. All who knew Ruth remember her for her dedication to friends and family. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and friend to so many. Grammas house was the meeting place for her children, grandchildren, and their friends. For the last thirty years, she attended countless band and choir concerts, football games and pep rallies, gymnastics meets and theater productions in support of her granddaughters. To them and to so many others, she was more than a grandmother; she was their second mother, the one that was always there to support and encourage them. The community also knew Ruth and her late husband, Lyndon, as model citizens and business owners. built their business, never losing sight of the community they served. treated their customers like family, and through their businesses, made Marble Falls a better community in which to live. Ruth is survived by her son David Heffington and daughter Isabel; daughter and son-in-law Sheryl and Karl Westerman and daughters Kelsey Westerman and fiancé Lloyd Blaine, Kirsten Lewis and husband Chase, Faith Westerman, and Karoline Westerman; step grandson Beau Jones; sister and brother-in-law Jo and Bill Manno; sisters- and brothers-in-law Patsy Gray of Waco, Leslie Dwayne and Betty Jo Heffington and Jack and Shirley Rogers all of Marble Falls, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father and mother, infant son, Dave Lyndon Heffington, Jr. and brother and sister-in-law Albert and Mary Jane Riley. Obituary: Lyle Heffington, 70, of Marble Falls, passed away 24, 2014. He was born 18, 1944 in Austin, TX to Fred and Kathleen Heffington. Lyle grew up in Marble Falls, TX with fond memories of playing football, working at various service stations, and working livestock with his father, grandfathers, uncles and cousins. Lyles dream was to someday return to Marble Falls to raise cattle. He was blessed to be able to spend the last seven years ranching at Double Horn and Round Mountain. Lyle graduated from Marble Falls High School in 1962. He attended Tarleton State and graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a degree in Agribusiness. Following college, he served in the Army National Guard. Lyle spent thirteen years working as a National Bank Examiner in the Dallas, San Antonio, Wichita Falls and Houston areas. His banking career began in 1979 at the San Felipe National Bank in Houston, where he served as Vice President, President, CEO and Chairman of the Board. He later became Senior Vice President of Oil and Gas Lending at Bank of America, retiring from Bank of America in 2006. Lyle helped organize the Marble Falls National Bank in 1979 and was on the Board of Directors until 1986. While in Houston, Lyle served as President of the Village West Owners Association, Deacon at Second Baptist Church, President of the Second Baptist School Board, and President of the Second Baptist School Athletic Booster Club. Lyle enjoyed years of coaching his sons in soccer and baseball at St. Cyrils, Memorial Ashford Little League and Second Baptist Church. He loved hunting and fishing, especially when sharing that time with his family and friends. Lyle is survived by his wife Cathy of Marble Falls, sons Brett Heffington of Marble Falls and Reese Heffington of Austin.
