Obituary: John Kennedy Ken Harrison was born 26, 1930 in Jonesboro, Louisiana and passed away in The Woodlands, Texas on 14, 2017 at age 86 after a lengthy illness. Ken served in the United States Army as an auditor. He graduated from Louisiana Tech in Ruston and received his degree in accounting. Ken went on to acquire his CPA designation and began his career at Ethel Corporation in Baton Rouge, La. He married Lucille Guess Stewart of Jonesboro on 17, 1956. Later he and Luci moved to Monroe where he worked for Walter Kellogg at Kellogg lumber and then as controller for Governor James A. Noe at Noe Enterprise. Ken was also a real estate investor, who purchased numerous houses around the college in Monroe. Ken is preceded in death by his parents Dr. Will L. Harrison and Achsah Barrow Harrison of Jonesboro, by his beloved wife, Luci, and his son, Stewart Guess Harrison. His brothers, Will L. Billy, Franklin Barrow Frank, his sisters, Mary Elizabeth Harrison Betsy Stell, Edith Carolyn Harrison Bluck, Jane Gloria Harrison Doe Loventhal, Marth Hunt Harrison Hargrove and Baby Girl Harrison who died before given a name. He is survived by his sons and loved ones: John K. Harrison, II, and Marla Press of Houston, Texas, Reace Barrow Harrison and Colleen Wood of The Woodlands, Texas, Will Preston Harrison and Ann Wieding of Austin, Texas and his grandchild, Hannah Harrison. His brothers Charles Harrison of Gonzales, Ben Harrison and wife Lee Lee of Monroe, and Stuart Harrison and wife Sarah of Jonesboro and numerous nieces and nephews, which he loved dearly. A memorial service will be held in Jonesboro, Louisiana on 21st. Obituary: John Ragland Harrison, Jr. died on 18, 2012 at the age of 50 years. Born on 31, 1962 in San Antonio, Texas, he was joyously welcomed by his parents, Frances Bates Harrison and John Harrison. John was a mischievous, creative soul who spent his youth outdoors collecting snakes and instigating grand adventures with his friends. A brilliant student, he graduated from Alamo Heights High School in 1980 and the University of Texas at Austin in 1984. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity where he met many of his lifelong friends and developed a lifelong passion for the Longhorns. There he also met the love of his life and wife, Karen Squibb Harrison. He went on to St. Marys School of Law in 1987 where he was Editor of the Law Review. He practiced law in San Antonio for over 20 years and was an active leader of Boy Scouts Troop 809 as well as a member of the German Club, Order of the Alamo, San Antonio Country Club, and Town Club. Karen and John were blessed with their two children, Evan Elizabeth and Graham. He loved the outdoors, especially his family ranch on the Medina River and spent many happy days hunting and fishing there and around Texas and the world. A true renaissance man, his many talents included furniture and cabinet making, welding art as well as barbeque pits, and cooking, approaching each with his unique vision and artistry. In addition to his wife, children and parents, he is survived by his sisters, Elisabeth Lisa Hanson and Emily Harrison Liljenwall and their husbands, Erik and Ted, and by his sister in law Claire Curtin and her husband, John, and seven nieces and nephews. Obituary: Joe Max Harrison went to be with his Lord and Savior on 25, 2014 surrounded by his loved ones. Service will be 10:30 a.m., , 27, 2014 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Plainview with John Powell officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Lakeview in Floyd . are under the care of Moore-Rose in Floydada. Joe Max was born to Don and Ruth Harrison on 16, 1941 in Floydada, Texas. He married the love of his life Jaynette Marquis on 18, 1957; the Lord blessed them with 57 years of marriage. Joe Max and Jaynette had two daughters Debbie and Tracy. The most important decision that Joe Max made was when he trusted in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior on 11, 1965. He served in the Bible Baptist Church in Floydada, Texas from 1965 till 2007. There he was ordained as a deacon on 19, 1981 he also served in the church as a school teacher and a church treasurer. In 2007 Joe Max moved his membership to the Calvary Baptist Church in Plainview, Texas, where he served in a variety of ministries: school teacher, deacon, mission director, and church treasurer. He had a true servants heart and humble spirit that only could be given to him by God. He also lived and farmed in the Lakeview community from 1957 till 2007, after farming he worked for the Boll Weevil Eradication in Plainview, Texas. He is survived by his wife Jaynette Harrison, daughter Debbie and her husband Greg Wilks of Lubbock, Texas, daughter Tracy Harrison of Bedford, Texas; grandchildren Logan, and Mason Wilks and Olivia and Spencer Harrison. A brother Jerry Bob and Jerry Harrison of Lubbock, brother-in-laws: Billy and Betty Marquis of Spur, Texas, Jimmy and Darlenda Marquis of Floydada, Texas, and many nieces and nephews. Joe Max is preceded in death by his parents; Don and Ruth Harrison. Obituary: Joe Glenn Harrison, Jr., Loving Son, Brother, Father and Friend, went to be with our Lord, 1, 2010. Harrison died in a fatal tractor/fire accident in Nueces , South of Robstown,Texas. Joe was born in Nowata, OK, 8, 1959, to Joe Glenn & Loretta (Bitters) Harrison. He grew up and attended school in Wichita Falls. Joes great desire to become a policeman - moved to him Corpus Christi, TX, where in 1989, he completed the CCPD Academy and began his career as a Corpus Christi Policeman. Joe served 20+ years on the CCPD force. He loved serving with his fellow workers & the citizens of Corpus Christi. Joe was a friendly guy with everyone he came in contact with; so much so - people began calling him "Officer Friendly", which would really make him laugh. Joe was a wonderful, dedicated, loving & happy man of faith - serving his Lord and Savior in every way possible. He was a member of Cathedral of the Palms Church in Corpus Christi, where he was ordained into Manna Ministries International. Harrison taught at Manna Bible School- teaching Kingdom Principles; he also taught a junior high student school class. Joe loved working with & mentoring young people. He served with Manna Ministries International Team and traveled to Russia and Europe as well as all over the United States to share the gospel. Harrison also worked with church security for Cathedral of the Palms Church and Pastors Gloria and David Farjardo of Manna Ministries and Cathedral of the Palms Church. Harrison is survived by his parents of Midland, Joe Glenn and Loretta Harrison; two sons, Glenn Chance Harrison of Wichita Falls, and Benjamin Cole Harrison of San Antonio; two sisters, Marcella (Harrison) & Judy (Harrison) and husband Alex Kager, both, of Midland. One brother, Tom Harrison of Richardson, his fiancé, Desi Denis; and four nieces, one nephew and two great-nieces. Memorial Services have been scheduled for 3:00 P.M. , 10, 2010, at the Cathedral of the Palms Church Corpus Christi, TX.
