Obituary: Helen Wilson Haney, beloved mother of Suzzanne Haney (Burnet, TX), sister of Jeraldine Jeffres (Victoria, TX), and grandmother to Logan Skoog (Anchorage, AK) and Blake Skoog (Denton, TX) along with being an Aunt to many nieces and nephews, passed away 15, 2017. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wesley Coleman Haney and son, David Wesley Haney. One of six children, she was born in Fargo, TX on 5, 1929 to Roy and Hattie Wilson. Helen graduated from Northside High School, then went to work for a local doctors office before she married Wesley and devoted herself as a homemaker to raise her two children. Helen was active in her church community with a servants heart, at Marble Falls Church of Christ. She loved to play bridge, read many books, and was a world traveler. She was her grand daughters biggest fan and would travel great distances to watch them in all of their endeavors. She was devoted to spending time with her family and friends whom she loved dearly. Helen was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at the Marble Falls Church of Christ (711 Broadway St, Marble Falls, TX) on , 19th, 2017 at 10 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Fargo Church of Christ (c/o Larry Latimer P.O. Obituary: DOROTHY LOIS DOSH HANEY, 89 passed away 8, 2011. She was very special to her family and friends. She was born 9, 1921, in Inola, Oklahoma, to Ollie and Lafayette (Lafe) Dosh. She was a Mother and also a teacher for 21 years - the last years teaching at Stratford High School for the Spring Branch School District. She was a member of the Eight Church of Christ, Scientist, Houston, Texas. She attended Conners Jr. and graduated from Northeastern State University of Oklahoma. She also attended the University of Texas and received her masters degree from the University of Houston. She was a member of the Delphians, The American Association of University Women, the Opti-Mrs. Club of Fort Worth, A Beaumont Supper Club, and the Nottingham Forest Womens Club Investment Group. She was active in the Arts, Gardening, Church work, and enjoyed Galveston beaches and traveling the world as time permitted. She was preceded in death by her lifelong husband, George, of fifty years and her infant son. Devoted loving Mother and Grandmother, she is survived by four daughters and their families: Dr. Cynthia Jordan and her husband Dr. Larry Jordan, of Winnepeg, Canada; Cheryl Senter of Houston; Amy Jill Clements and her husband Michael of Kilgore; Robyn Pledger and her husband Chris of Sante Fe, Texas; ten grandchildren, Caleb, Tamara, Breanna, Chad, Daniel, Amy Karel, Michael Jr., Jared, Hayden, and Dustin, two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Kaden, with a third expected from granddaughter Breanna; brother; John C. Dosh and his wife Phyllis, of Cortez, Colorado and Ontario, California; several nieces and nephews, and many dear, dear friends. She hoped to be remembered for her unfailing moral support of her family and as one who had an enthusiastic capacity to love all the happy times that life had to offer. She was devoted to education. The family will receive friends at the Forest Park Westheimer on , 13 at 1:00 PM. services will begin at 2:00 PM with entombment to follow in the Memorial Mission Mausoleum beside her husband and son. |

Obituary: Dorothy Lee Schroeder Haney passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on 2, 2014. She was born 1, 1929 in Houston, TX to William F. and Mattie Reeves Schroeder. Her family moved to Brenham, TX and then Corpus Christi where she graduated from CCHS in 1946. In 1947, she married George F. Haney. shared 66 loving years together until his death in 2014. Being a wonderful homemaker, talented seamstress, avid gardener and great cook, she made a warm loving home for George, their 3 daughters and many of their friends. She loved to entertain. Dorothy also enjoyed her years working in the office at Carroll High School as well as the 20+ years in the real estate business. She was very active in the Garden Club, her church & planning committee of many reunions for the "Fabulous Forties" of CCHS. Along with her husband, George, she was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William F. Schroeder, Jr. She is survived by her three daughters: Karen (Coy) Reece of Montgomery, TX, Dr. Pamela (Dr. Marvin) Prewitt of Corpus Christi, and Patricia (Bob) Mitchell of George West, TX. D-Dot is also survived by her four grandchildren: Tommy (Angie) Mitchell, Toy (Dennis) LeVasseur, Brett Mitchell, and Nicki (Toby) Murray. She had 8 great grandchildren: Aubree', Dyson, Ranee', Murray, Tobias, Hudson, Charley Marie, and Emma Grace. She had one great-great grandson, Grady Coy. Other survivors are: her sister-in-law, Marion Schroeder, sister-in-law, Margaret (David) Levy, and brother-in-law, Vic (Dawn) Haney as well as many special nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Angel Bright Hospice, all the special caregivers - especially Trease Fullingim, who has truly been a God-send to Dorothy and the family. Also, they would like to thank Rita Flores who "fixed" her hair for 50+ years with special loving care. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on , 5, 2014 at Cage-Mills Directors. Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on , 6, 2014 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Seaside Memorial Park . An informal visitation will be held , 13, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Doris Marie Haney was a God fearing woman who was full of life. She had a special bond with each of her children and lived every moment to the fullest. She loved with all her heart and never met a stranger. She was our mother, teacher, neighbor, and most of all, our friend. She was always there to lend an ear, tell a story or offer up the best coffee in the entire world. We will never be the same without her. Doris is preceded her in death by her parents, Ernest G. and Vera (Bodiford) Vieregge; the love of her life, Cleo Haney and siblings, Billie Jean Lamb, Ernestine James, Will Vieregge, Bernard Carl Vieregge, Dean Conder, and Beauford "Dutch" Doyle Vieregge. She is survived by children, James Kenneth Pate, Beverly Jean Webb and husband Charlie Webb, Gary Glenn Pate, Lanny Keith Haney, Sidney Trent Haney and wife Lee Ann Haney, Brett Lane Haney, Rodney Kent Haney and fiancé Valerie van der Tooren; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
