Obituary: Betty Ruth Hallowell took the hand of the Lord on , 7, 2017.

Service: 11 am at Laurel Land Chapel of the Chimes. The family will receive visitors from 3-5 pm on at Laurel Land in Fort Worth.

Betty was born on 7, 1926 in Murray, Texas to Joseph and Louella Edwards. She became an Air Force wife when her husband, Carl enlisted. When Carl was stationed to different bases, Betty followed and raised their four children in the process. She loved to travel, so this was a wonderful chance to see parts of the United States she might not have otherwise been able to go to. Betty enjoyed painting, reading and working in the yard. She is a longtime member of Birchman Baptist Church and retired after eighteen years as the church’s financial secretary. Betty loved being active in church functions. Her family remembers her always caring about other people. Her heart was kind, and she served others as she had been taught the value of service and hard work.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 50 years, Carl Hallowell; brothers, Forrest Edwards, Donald Edwards; sisters, Marguerite Anthony, Edith Connor; grandsons, Kevin Hallowell and Derek Hallowell.

Survivors: daughter, Phyllis Carnley and husband Steve; sons, Charles Hallowell and wife Holly, Michael Hallowell and wife Kim, Gordon Hallowell; grandchildren, Kelli Carnley, Craig Carnley and wife Courtney, Duane Hallowell, Carl Hallowell and wife Noelle; great grandchildren, Steven Carnley, Jason Day, Kailey Hallowell, Kennedy Carnley, Kate Carnley and soon to be born, Charlie Hallowell; sisters, Joella Sealey, Gloria Ellis; extended family, church family and friends.

Obituary: Thomas Robert Halloran

1939-2016



Tom was born 5, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio to Robert and Doris Halloran (Fuller). He passed into the healing arms of Christ in the early morning hours of , 18, 2016 in Conroe, Texas after a brief cancer reoccurrence.

Tom was baptized in the Catholic faith 1, 1939 and received First Holy Communion on May 25, 1947. He graduated Euclid High School in 1957 and attended Ohio State University and the University of Houston. He was proud of his service in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Tom spent his entire career in industrial sales. This career led him from his beloved Ohio to Houston, Texas in , 1977. Tom was very involved in the Catholic Church, Wounded Warriors, Beginning Experiences and The Mankind Project. He enjoyed watching any sporting event both live and on T.V. However, his lifelong passion was golf. Golf had the ability to bring out both the best and worst of his personality. There are many stories and testimonies out there in regards to Papa and golf.

In addition to his golf passion; his most prized love was for his grandchildren. He thoroughly enjoyed attending as many baseball games, drill team performances, volleyball games and theatre performance as he could. He viewed is role as Papa not only the most important and fulfilling in his life; but certainly his proudest.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Doris Halloran, his beloved Aunt Catherine Doran, his brother James Halloran and his youngest child and only son, Michael Robert Halloran.

Tom is survived by his daughters, Kathleen (Mike) Melnikoff of Spring, TX and Susan (Marc) Reiter of Houston, TX. He is also survived by daughter in law, Victoria Halloran also of Houston, TX. His sister Judy (Tom) Neroda of Cummings, GA and sister-in-law Melody Halloran of Valdosta, GA survive him as well.

His Grandchildren - whether by birth or love are: Mikie and Sarah Hallmark, Amber Roberts (Deshaun Lyle), Jake Matthews, Nicole Halloran (Felipe Flvme Guardado), Annie Matthews, Kaitlyn Halloran, Elizabeth Reiter, Brady Reiter, Debbie Bailey and Michael Allen Melnikoff.

His Great Grandchildren - Alexia Lyle, Kyndrick Lyle and Arianna Guardado.

Tom also leaves numerous extended family members, lifelong friends and many golf buddies!

A gathering with the family will be , 10th, 2016 at 10 a.m. at American Heritage . His remains will be interred at the Houston VA immediately following at 11:30 a.m.

The family requests in lieu of flowers and other customary remembrances that donations be made in his honor to M.D. Anderson Childrens Hospital, 1515 Holcombe Blvd. Houston, TX 77030 or any U.S. Veterans organization of your choice.

You were never created to live depressed - you were created to be victorious.

Phyllis graduated from St. Josephs Catholic High School in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in 1961. She subsequently attended Harper Method Beauty School in Rochester, New York. She then worked briefly as a beautician in Williamsport. On 20, 1962 she married Michael Halloran and began an exciting career with her husband in the USAF and took off to Ramey AFB in Puerto Rico. She joyfully accompanied her husband to other places like Florida, Utah, Ohio, New York, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Texas. Within each community and organization, Phyllis worked as a tireless volunteer in churches, hospitals, and helping the needy. These organizations certainly became a better place as a result of her presence.

Survivors are her husband of 53 years, Mike; 4 children, Mike, and wife Julie of St Joseph, Missouri, Bill and wife Jana of Omaha, Nebraska, Mary Nabity of Omaha, Nebraska, and Christie and husband Walker Trudeau of Marble Falls, Texas. 6 grandchildren, Andrew Nabity of Omaha, Nebraska, Jordan and Emily Halloran of Omaha, Nebraska, Jackson and Sophia Trudeau of Marble Falls, Texas and Anthony Frump of St. Joseph, Missouri.

Obituary: Michael Halloran, 75, of Meadowlakes, passed away on May 21, 2017 at St. Davids Hospital South, Austin, Texas. He was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on 5, 1941, the son of ine and Hazel Halloran.

Michael graduated from St. Josephs Catholic High School in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in 1960. Mike completed a very distinguished career of 30 years in the United States Air Force. He commanded two squadrons, one of which was recognized as the est in the entire Strategic Air Command. Mike and his family crisscrossed the country, stationed in locales like Columbus, Ohio; Salt Lake City, Utah, Omaha, Nebraska; Pensacola, Florida; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Rome, New York and Rantoul, Illinois. He also had two highly decorated tours; one in Vietnam and the other in South Korea.

While in the Air Force, he was awarded the Air Force Scholarship to the University of Utah. Mike earned his Bachelors Degree from the University of Utah in Business Management, followed by earning his Masters Degree in Management & Supervision from Central Michigan University. While an undergrad at Utah, he was awarded the Small Business Association (SBA) National Student Consultant of the Year. Fortune and Business Week magazines made the selection from among 10,000 entries across the country.

Following his retirement as a Major from the Air Force, Mike enjoyed successes with senior level positions in the banking and manufacturing industries. He found his true second career when he began teaching various business, supervision and management courses. He taught at Iowa Western Community , Metropolitan Community in Nebraska and Concordia University in Wisconsin. He taught for several years at Milwaukee Area Technical , becoming Chair of the Management Department and Coordinator of the Management Accelerated Program. His last teaching position was at Texas Tech University, where he specialized in business and corporate management.

Mike was a tireless volunteer and supporter of The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, the Knights of Columbus and Baylor Scott & White Medical in Marble Falls.

He is survived by 4 children, Mike and wife Julie of St. Joseph, Missouri, Bill and wife Jana of Omaha, Nebraska, Mary Nabity and her fiancé Scott Gagner of Omaha, Nebraska, and Christie and husband Walker Trudeau of Marble Falls, Texas. Mike is the proud grandfather of six grandchildren, Andrew Nabity of Omaha, Nebraska, Jordan and Emily Halloran of Omaha, Nebraska, Jackson and Sophia Trudeau of Marble Falls, Texas and Anthony Frump of St. Joseph, Missouri.

Obituary: Martha Elizabeth Halloran met her Savior, Jesus Christ on morning 20, 2014 at the age of 95 years, 8 months and 24 days. Martha was born on 26, 1918 in Gause, Texas to Charlie and Harriet Jones. Martha was the greatest Wife, Mom, Nonnie and Great Grandmother. She loved her Lord and was a faithful witness for Him and to her family, friends and those she met along lifes way. Martha earned her RN degree in San Antonio, Texas where she met and married W.J. Halloran in 1940. were married for 63 years and moved many times with the Immigration Service. were members of First Baptist Church and served the Lord together wherever they were stationed. Martha was a nurse at the Dilley Hospital, a private duty nurse and she finished her nursing career as a Public School Nurse. Martha and Bill retired in Jacksonville, Texas and had many wonderful years together there. Martha moved to the Angelina House, in Jacksonville, after the sale of her home. In 2013, she moved to Estrella Assisted Living in Georgetown, Texas to be closer to Diane and Paul. While living at Estrella, she praised God with her singing, although she had forgotten a lot of things, she knew all the verses to her beloved hymns. Martha was a spiffy dresser and made sure she was always wearing her earrings and high heels! She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all. Martha is survived by daughter, Diane Curtis and husband Paul of Liberty Hill, Texas; brother, Glendale Jones and wife Georgia of Clifton, Texas; granddaughters: Stephanie Hodges and husband Andrew of China Spring, Texas, Kendra Copeland and husband Scott of Salado, Texas, Marci Sampiero and husband Gianfranco of Lerici, Italy, Traci Rolles and husband Jimmy of Waxahachie, Texas, and Tyra Free and husband Noble of McKinney, Texas; great-granddaughters: Kaylon Hearne, Kerrigan Hearne, Halloran Rolles and Madison Rolles; great-grandsons: Jake Hodges, Luke Hodges, Kole Hearne, Ty Sampiero, John Davis Free and Bennett Free; as well as many more nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph Halloran; son, Capt. William Ty Halloran; parents, Charlie and Harriet Jones; brother, Beverly Jones; sisters: Charlie Bea Downing, Mary Louise Stone and Nelda Maxine Gwartney. Obituary: HALLORAN
John Kenny Halloran, age 85, passed away on 8, 2006 after an eighteen-month battle against cancer.
He was born in Tampico, Mexico on Dec 16, 1920 and graduated from Jefferson High School, San Antonio in 1938. He received his Bachelors degree from Texas A & M in 1947 and his Masters degree from Texas A & I, Kingsville in 1966. ÂRed, as his family and friends knew him, served in the Merchant Marines during WWII as a radio operator in the Atlantic theater and at the end of the war was headed to the Pacific theater. He worked for the Texas Rehabilitation Commission for 38 years, retiring as a Regional Director in San Antonio and then spent two years in Saipan as a consultant for rehabilitation services. He recently was honored for his 50 years of service to the Kiwanis Club. He enjoyed hunting, traveling, and was devoted to his family and dogs. His wife, Helen Kennedy Halloran and his stepson, James D Barry, preceded him in death. Survivors include his three daughters, Karen Halloran, Kathleen Halloran, and Helenan Polansky; his sister, Pauline Lombardy of Ft Walton Beach, FL; his grandchildren, Dwight, Jason and James Barry, Charles and Josh Polansky, Ty Halloran Volante and Mari Halloran Volante; and three great-grandchildren.
