Obituary: Allen Jefferson Hair, Age 90, passed away on 25, 2017 at home with his family by his side. AJ was born on 17, 1927 in Graniteville, South Carolina to Wiley Johnathan Hair and Berlie Lula Hair. AJ was raised in Georgia, his Moms home State. AJ as he was called by all who knew him was a Veteran of WW II. He went into the Army Sept. 18, 1945 and was Honorably Discharged Nov. 21, 1949. He was a Paratrooper of the 82nd Airborne Div. and served behind enemy lines during his overseas tours in Germany, France, Italy and Austria. He came to Odessa in the late 40's and started working with the West Texas Oil Industry and worked for Parker Drilling. When he first came into the Permian Basin his profession as an Oil Rig Driller & Tool Pusher was with the Loffland and Brothers Drilling Co. When he was working in the oilfield, his nickname was Peaches and some say it was because he was raised in Georgia or some said it was because he liked to carry peaches in his lunch box. In his earlier years, he liked to fish and judging from old photos showing his rather large catch, must have been pretty good at it. Later in life he met & Married Theresa Rose and the last 26 years of his life were very happy years. were both in their mid-60s and were like two peas in a pod. were always together, always looking out for each other and very much in love from beginning to end. He will be waiting for her to arrive for sure. both loved to dance and sit in a coffee shop & chitchat for fun. Even shopping was fun for them both. AJ Hair was a Wonderful Strong but Gentle Man. Very caring and generous to others, especially his Wife. Heavens Getting a real good Guy. He leaves behind him, as he put it "The Love of My Life & most Cherished one & only" His Wife, Theresa Rose Salafia Hair. Also his 7 Children, both natural and adopted in his heart. Although one Daughter is already waiting on him to arrive in Heaven that would be Sheila R Henderson.The other 3 Daughters & 3 Sons are Carol A. Hair of Arkansas, Elaine M & Husband, Tony Glass of Austin, Texas, Theresa A. Abels of Wickett, Texas, James A & Wife, Sallie Hair of Oklahoma, George Hair of McGregor, Texas and James W & Wife, Bea Henderson of Odessa, Texas. AJ is preceded on death by his parents, one sister & one brother. |

Obituary: Lola Annette Fenner Hains was born on 6, 1923 in West Columbia, Texas, to William Bell and Lola Althea Myers Fenner. She died , May 24, 2017 in The Woodlands, Texas following a long illness. Annette was predeceased by her husband, Robert. C. Hains, and her siblings, Delores Walthal, William Fenner, Jr., and Charles Fenner, MD. She is survived by her sisters in law, Margie and Camilla Fenner, daughter Lockie Baugh and husband Tom, son Frank (Bud) Woodruff and wife Kara, daughter Tish Meehan, and son Matt Woodruff and wife Margaret. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. She graduated from Karnes City High School, then attended Texas State Womens . She lived in Austin and El Paso, but the Houston area was home from 1963 onward. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren and, above all else, was a mom. In the mid 1970s, she embarked on a career in real estate, becoming a licensed broker. Following retirement, she focused on her family until progressive dementia deprived her of the ability to be their beloved Mimi. Obituary: Leigh Worsham Hainley, 66, passed away , 4, 2014. Leigh was born 11, 1948 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late William and Arlene Worsham. In addition to her parents, Leigh was preceded in death by her brother, Hank Worsham. She is survived by her loving husband, Don Hainley; sons, Lance Hainley of Houston, Tx and Chad Hainley (Liz Rusteberg Hainley); grandchildren, Jessie and Will, all of Brownsville, Tx; sibling, Dr. Lynn Worsham. Leigh also leaves behind two very special friends, Jan Sullivan and Ginger Leedy. Leigh was married in Ft. Worth and moved to Houston where she raised her 2 sons. Leigh always had a special talent for interior design and decorating. Leigh was lovely in every way and will be remembered as being a most awesome grandmother with so much talent and creativity. Obituary: Memorial services for Tommie Ruth Haines, 78, of Lubbock will be on , 22, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Green Lawn Church of Christ with Joe Marshall and Dale Mannon officiating. She died on 19, 2011 in Lubbock Texas. She was born 23, 1932 in Amarillo, Texas. She married Lyle Haines 8, 1988 in Lubbock. She received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree in 1969, and a Master of Education degree in 1975, both from Texas Tech University. She taught hearing impaired children for the Lubbock ISD Regional Day School Program for the Deaf for 22 years. She was a life time member of the Texas State Teachers Association and the Texas Retired Teachers Association. She sold real estate for 24 years. She was owner/broker of Maryfield Video Showcase of s Real Estate. She was a member of the Healing Hearts class at Green Lawn Church of Christ. She was a member of the General James Smith Chapter of The Daughters of the Republic of Texas and served as its president from 1999 to 2001. Her former husband, Louis Maryfield, preceded her in death on 28, 1986. Survivors include her husband, a son, Marlowe Bentleyand his wife Glenda, of Missouri City, Texas and two grandchildren, Kelsey and Caleb. Another son, Danny Bentley, died 9, 1977. She is also survived by three step-children, Susan Bailey of Wolfforth, Tom Haines of Lubbock, Gary Haines of Runnells, Iowa, and twelve step-grandchildren. A brother, Carl Reed of Wimberley Texas, and a sister, Carolyn Wright of Amarillo, Texas also survive her. A brother, George Reed, preceded her in death. The family suggests memorials to the Childrens of Lubbock, P.O. Box 2824 Lubbock, TX 79408. |
