Obituary: Rosalie Klein Haack, age 102, of San Antonio, died 18, 2003. Rosalie was born on 22, 1900 on a farm near Luckenbach, Texas, to John and Katherine Stein Klein. Rosalie married Ernest V. Haack, Sr. on 13, 1928 in Sam Antonio, Texas, and after his death on 26, 1940 she never remarried. She is preceded in death by her husband Ernest and son Rudolph who died at birth in 1932; four brothers; Emil Klein, Joe Klein, Walter Klein and Alfred Klein, six sisters; Rita Klein, Rosina Wallendorf, Estella Steitle, Paula Klein, Edna Klein and Anna Klein who died in infancy. Also preceding her in death were half sisters Martha Klein Pape, Matilda Klein Pehl, and a half-brother, William H. Klein. Rosalie is survived by; daughter Katherine A. Haack, son Ernest V. Haack, II and wife Beatrice, grandchildren; Ernest V. Haack III and wife Gayle, Carlton J. Haack and wife Gay, Karyn L. Dobbins and husband Edward; four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Obituary: Jack Douglas Haack, born 4, 1927 to Charles and Nora Haack passed away on 10, 2006. He was born and raised in Brenham, Texas. a few years serving our country in the military he attended Texas A&M University and graduated as a proud member of the class of 1950. Soon after he met the woman who would become his loving wife of 53 years, Mona Watson Haack. were blessed with three children who have brought them much joy. Jack called San Antonio home for the last 40 years and resided in Castle Hills. He was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, and a grandchild. Jack is survived by his wife, Mona; son, Gary Haack and wife, Susan; daughter, Melanie Thigpen and husband, Warren; and daughter Jennifer Boubel and husband, Steve. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Joshua Haack and wife, Erin; Liana Haack and fiancé, Nathan Randel; Jason Thigpen; Tara Clements and husband, Tommy; Sydney Boubel, Zachry Boubel, Maxwell Boubel and Kirby Boubel. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the many friends in the medical community, who supported them and took care of him during his courageous battle with colon cancer. Obituary: Ernest Ernie Valentine Haack, II, age 78, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away on , May 30, 2012 in San Antonio. He was born 14, 1933 and grew up in San Antonio where he attended Central Catholic High School and then proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He returned to San Antonio and graduated from St. Marys University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology in 1958. Ernie was a petroleum geologist and was involved in a partnership with Robert A. Keahey for forty two years. He was a member of the Southwest Geological Society and was a part of the oil and gas industry in San Antonio most of his adult life. Ernie devoted much of his time and energy to his wife and children, creating lasting memories with each one. Ernie loved spending time with his two sons, grandson and hunting buddies in Sabinal, Texas. His time in the off season was spent at his ranch in Rio Medina tending his horses, a pleasure Ernie enjoyed many a weekends through the years. Life for Ernest was blessed with a determination to work hard, build his partnership and take time to enjoy the things and people that were important to him. His death is preceded by his father and mother Ernest Valentine and Rosalie Haack. He is survived by his lovely wife of 50 years, Beatrice Marie Haack; son Ernest Trey Valentine Haack III and wife Gayle; grandson Ernest Quaid Valentine Haack IV; granddaughters Carly and Asher; son Carlton Jay Haack and wife Sunee; granddaughter Jennifer Everhart; grandson Joey Blanton; daughter Karyn Leigh Dobbins and husband Edward; grandson Bradley; granddaughter Eighmy; and sister Katherine A. Haack. Ernie was a quiet man whose heart spoke loudly, memories of times spent with him and who he was will not be forgotten and will be deeply cherished by those who called him Ernie, Dad, Opa and friend.
