Obituary: Wilhelmina Billie Melton Wieters Hall, 96, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Walter D. Wieters and Russell W. Hall died , 27, 2015. Her funeral service will be held , 30, 2015 in The Unitarian Church of Charleston, 4 Archdale Street at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Churchyard. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel. Billie was born 23, 1918 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Harry Eugene Melton and the late Kathryn Ervin Melton. She attended the of Charleston and was a retired secretary for E. Roy Daniell, C.P.A. Billie was an active member of the Unitarian Church in Charleston, especially the archive committee. She is survived by two sons: Walter D. Wieters, Jr. (Betty) of Murrells Inlet, SC and William M. Wieters of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren, Walter Brian Wieters (Jennifer), Kevin Michael Wieters (Melynda), Ashley Wieters Redmond (Mark), William Charlton Wieters (Elizabeth), and Forest Smith Wieters (Justice); nine great grandchildren; one sister, Thelma M. Fairbain of Charleston, SC; three nieces, Jan Melton, Beth Valentine, and Jean Pool; one nephew, Scott Fairbain; two stepsons, David Hall (Janice) and Roger Hall (Paula); two stepdaughters, Louise Hall Cook (Richard) and Katie Hall; ten step-grandchildren; eighteen step-great grandchildren; two step-great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one brother; Harry E. Melton; one sister, Catheryn Ferry; and one daughter-in-law, Charlene Smith Wieters. Memorials may be made to the Unitarian Church of Charleston, 4 Archdale Street, Charleston, SC 29401. |

Obituary: Spartanburg, SC Wilbur Lee Hall, 75, of 146 Belvedere Drive, passed away , 4th, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Medical after a long illness. Mr. Hall was born in Spartanburg, SC on 3, 1939, a son of the late Horace Dean and Annie Lee Pittman Hall. He was the husband of Peggy (Ridings) Hall and had celebrated over 55 years of marriage. He was a member of Spartanburg First Baptist Church and had served as a security guard at The Hangar for five years. He served as a deacon for three years at Alverson Grove Baptist Church and also at Davis Memorial Baptist Church. He was also a mason and member of the Fairforest Masonic Lodge and the Lone Oak Order of the Eastern Star. He had retired from textiles as an electrician and was an air-conditioning technician . retirement Mr. Hall remained active and worked as a meatcutter with Winn-Dixie. Mr. Hall was also a graduate of the Casey Creek Bible Institute, a licensed pastor and a volunteer Reserve Officer with the Spartanburg Sheriffs Dept. In 1992 he was named the Reserve Officer of the Year. The family decribes him as a loving father and husband who loved his family. Surviving in addition to his wife Peggy, is a son Dustin Hall and his wife Ashley of Lyman, SC, two brothers, Dean Hall and his wife Lib, Jerry Hall and his wife Kelly, two sisters, Pat Blanton, Becky Meeks all of Spartanburg, and four grandchildren, Jayden, Jordan, Jaxon and Kinsley Hall. Mr. Hall was predeceased by a daughter, Tonya Diane Hall and a brother, Jimmy Hall. The family will receive friends , 7, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the Spartanburg First Baptist Church Chapel with a service following at 2:00 PM conducted by Rev. Sal Barone, Rev. Joe Geddes and Mr. Al Clark. The Fellowship School Class are requested to serve as Honorary Escort. The interment will be held in the Lake Bowen Baptist Church in Inman, SC and will include the Trinity Dove Release. The family will be at his home. Donations may be made to the: D.C.I.
