Obituary: Hansen, Warren R. 76 17, 1935 08, 2012 Warren R. Hansen devoted husband, father and grandfather passed away 8, 2012 surrounded by the comfort of his family. Warren was born in Plentywood, Mont., on 17, 1935 to parents Nellie and L. Warren Hansen. In 1950 the family moved to Portland, where Warrens father had accepted the call as the Pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church in North Portland. It was there that he met the love of his life Joyce Ludviksen. In 1956 Joyce asked Warren to marry him and his response was "I guess I could do that" and two days later they were married. Shortly afterward they were off to San Antonio so Warren could serve his country enlisting in the Army. In of 2011, Joyce and Warren celebrated 55 years of marriage. Warren worked as an accountant, office manager and controller spending thirty years at Multnomah Plywood. Warrens true love was his family. He treasured his time spent with family and friends. He was especially proud of his grandchildren Andrew, Kaitlin, Sara, Kelsey and Emily and would make every effort to attend their concerts, ball games and dance competitions. His constant companion right along side of him was his wife, Joyce, who he once told "I love you and if anything changes I will let you know". That was Dad, simple, strong, stubborn and a truly loving and caring man. He will be remembered and greatly missed by his wife, Joyce; sister, Dorothy; son, Paul and wife, Jenni; son, John and wife, Erin; daughter, Julie and husband, Alan; son, Karl and wife, Jorid; as well as his grandchildren, Andrew, Kaitlin, Sara, Kelsey and Emily. He was preceded in death by his sister, Millie Greisen. A viewing will be held at Ross Hollywood Chapel , 14, from 12 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held , 15, at 10:30 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, 5658 N. Denver Ave., Portland, OR 97217. Burial is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Willamette National cemetery. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the kitchen remodel Fund at Bethel Lutheran Church.
