Obituary: Kay Crumby Hussey Miss Kay - 69 - died peacefully after a brief illness surrounded by her family on evening, 11, 2017, at Methodist LeBonheur Hospital in Memphis, TN. Services will be held at First Baptist Church Corinth on , 15, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be night from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at McPeters and from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on at First Baptist prior to the funeral. The Rev. Dennis Smith and Dr. Bud Sizemore will conduct the service celebrating her life. Miss Kay as she liked to be called was born 9, 1947 in Oxford, MS, to Wallace and Inez Crumby. She graduated from Tupelo High School in 1965 and Mississippi State University in 1969. She married the love of her life, John H. Hussey in 1970. college, she began her career as a special education teacher. She moved with her family to Corinth in 1976 where she continued teaching as a kindergarten teacher at First Baptist Church for 25 years. She had a special gift of being able to reach and understand children and adapt to each childs unique needs for learning. She loved her kindergarten children and delighted in seeing them grow into adults. She devoted her life to serving others. For over 40 years, she played the piano and led worship for School services at our local nursing homes. She especially loved senior citizens and felt blessed to help them worship each week. While she was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, she was given the opportunity to serve as a pianist on mornings for the Covenant Presbyterian Church. She was loved by that precious congregation and was blessed to call both churches home. She enjoyed calligraphy and was especially known for her beautiful and intricate monograms, wedding invitations, and wedding programs which she created for brides all over the country. She was a lifelong Mississippi State fan who loved to cheer on her bulldogs. She was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren and loved spending time with them. always looked forward to the yearly trips to Memommys Florida. Miss Kay is survived by her husband of 47 years, John H. Hussey, and her children Alesha Knight (Preston) and Jennifer Garrett (Brett) of Corinth and Meredith Park (Jeremy) of Germantown, TN, and her special dog Petey. She leaves behind her six grandchildren, Emma Kate and Olivia Knight of Corinth, Jon Worth and Jack Garrett of Corinth, and Cooper Byers and Cayson Park of Germantown, TN. She is also survived by her father, Wallace F. Crumby of Tupelo, MS, sister, Janet Hallstrom (Jeff) of Orange Park, FL, niece Jill Bennett, nephew Jeffrey Hallstrom, and great nephew Tyler Bennett. She was preceded in death by her mother, Inez Hayles Crumby. Obituary: A service to celebrate the life of William Christopher Hussey will be held at 2:00 on , 22, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Corinth with visitation immediately following the service. Bill was born in Prairie, MS, on 23, 1933, to Frederick and Elizabeth Cain Hussey and died at his home on 19, 2015. He was a graduate of Corinth High School and Mississippi State University, enjoying his campus days with his Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity brothers with whom he kept in contact for sixty years. graduation from MSU, he served his country in the United States Air Force. Bill was well-known in the Corinth banking community, having served as president of Security Bank, now Regions Bank, and also SouthBank FSB, now Farmers and Merchants Bank. At his death, he was serving as the director for the board of SouthBank, FSB. Bill had been active in his church, First Baptist, leading a School class and serving on the finance committee. He was involved in community affairs, taking leadership roles in various civic organizations and clubs. He was a long time commissioner for the City of Corinth Gas and Water Department and was instrumental in the implementation of the surface water system which now serves the area. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, his daughter Beth Hussey Bush and husband Bob, his daughter Sallie Hussey, his son-in-law Brian Emmich, his grandchildren Alex Turner, Lizzie Harmon and husband Chris, Ben Emmich, Olivia Emmich, William Emmich, Leah Emmich, Kirbi Blevins and husband Sean, and great-granddaughter Sophie Harmon. He is also survived by his wifes children and grandchildren, Courtney Coleman, Edward and Jennifer Coleman and their children Ward and Frances, and Sarah Lyle and Emmanuel Dampoux and their children Emma-Lyle, Louis-Georges, and Honore. His sister-in-law, Patricia Hussey, also survives him. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kate Hussey Emmich and his brothers Ben Hussey, Plummer Hussey, and Beverly Hussey. Obituary: On 4, 2015, Carolyn Morgan Husbands left her home here on earth at the age of 88. She is now in her heavenly home with her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born in Beth Eden, MS.Mrs. Husbands retired after 43 years with the Bell System as an electronic technician. In her spare time, she traveled extensively in North and Central America as well as Europe. While at home she loved gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children: Mike (Jeannie), Brian, and Danny (Linda); two step-daughters: Barbara Husbands Fields and Imogene Husbands Grace; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister and best friend, Era Jean Morgan Crowson. Mrs. Husbands was preceded in death by her parents, James A. Morgan and Era Gay Ward Morgan, and brother, Jimmy Ward Morgan. She was a very generous lady and supported many charities. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the charity or organization of your choice. She will be dearly missed.
