Obituary: Eleanor Hays, 90, passed away on , 9, 2015 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be held on , 12, 2015 from 5-7 PM and from 10-11 AM at Lakewood . A graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park on at 11 AM. Mrs. Hays was born on 29, 1925 to the late Frank and Dovie Taylor Bailey. She married Lester Eugene Hays, Jr. on 26, 1947. She also graduated from Birmingham Alabama Baptist Hospital School of in 1947. Mrs. Hays was a proud member of Forrest Hill makers Club, and enjoyed fishing, travelling, and Saints football. Mrs. Hays is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, Curtis Bailey. Obituary: Charlotte K. Hays, a devoted mother, meemaw, friend, and wife lost her courageous battle to cancer and spread her wings and flew to join our heavenly Father on , 15, 2015. Charlotte was born to Jewell Alton Knight and Grace Felder Knight in Tylertown, MS.Visitation will be held at Lakewood in Jackson on , 18 from 5-7 pm, and , 19, from 10-11 am, with a service following at 11am. Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park.Charlotte was a retired registered nurse, a job she held dear to her heart until she was diagnosed with cancer in 2001. Charlotte battled Stage IV cancer for almost eight years and was our walking miracle. Each day and each step through the Grace of God, she placed on foot in front of the other and lived her life not for herself, but for those she fought not to leave behind.She leaves behind her husband of twenty-three years, John Hays; her best friend and daughter Pam Seavey (Chuck); her two sons, Jimmy McLellan and Todd McLellan (Stephanie) of Florida; and one sister Betty Knight Ginn (Kittrell) of Starkville; her most prized grandchildren, Ashley Hasie Usry (Cade), Kristen McLellan Titus (Eric), Livie McLellan, Jeremy Wallace Townsend (Christina), Tyler Seavey, Sarah Townsend Stewart (David), Brayden McLellan, and Harrison McLellan; along with her great grandchildren, Adrienne Stewart, Camden Stewart, Shelby Grace McLellan, Libby Claire Usry, Zoe Kate Usry, and she was so excited that God's grace would be gifting her with yet another great grand in (Alyssa Grace Townsend). Obituary: services for Cecil Leon Haynie 95 are set for 2:00 P.M. at Memorial home Chapel with Brad Dillingham officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgecrest cemetery. Mr. Haynie died 21, 2014 at his home in the Strickland Community, Cecil was born 21, 1919 in Corinth to the late Clifford and Eva Mae Davis Haynie. Mr. Haynie served his country honorably in the army during World War II. returning home, he worked with S & S construction for over 30 years before retiring. Cecil was a kind and devoted family man and hard worker. He enjoyed working his garden and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert L. Haynie, sisters Sybil Stutts and Alice Goodman. Obituary: Samuel Alonzo "Sam" Haynes 22, 1931 - May 17, 2015 Sam was born on , 22 1931. He died May 17, 1931 at Magnolia Regional . Sam "Sambo", "Stem", was a dearly loved son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a lifelong resident of Corinth and an elder of the Waldron Street Christian Church. The Haynes family owned the Haynes Dry Cleaners in Corinth until its closing. Sam graduated Corinth High School in 1949. He attended Union University until he joined the Air Force in of 1951. He was a clerk typist/paymaster in the Air Force while he was stationed in Greenland during the Korean War. Upon discharge he attended and graduated from Delta State University with a B.A. in Business. He went to work for Shainberg's Department Store in New Orleans where he met Lee who he married on May 21, 1961. were married 49 1/2 years until her death in 2010. Sam managed Shainberg's Department Stores in Little Rock, AR and Corinth until the mid 1980's when the stores were sold. He went to work in management for Wal-Mart in Stuttgart, AR, Corinth, Iuka and Booneville where he retired in 1994. He enjoyed being a ham radio operator, going to the beach and fishing. He was a resident of Mississippi for the last four years. He enjoyed playing bingo and going on the trips to the local restaurants to eat lunch. Sam was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Lee Haynes; his parents, Alonzo and Cinnie Mae Haynes; a sister Dorothy Louise Haynes and his cousin Roberta Johnson. He is survived by his daughter Daphne Anglin and husband Perry; a grandson Brian Anglin and wife LeAnne; a cousin Robert (Bob) Warren and wife Pow, and their children Aussie and Sydney and cousins; Jeff Johnson and wife Cindy and their child, and Steve Johnson and wife Coleen and their children. services will be held at 11:00 am on , May 19, 2015 at McPeter's Chapel. Interment will be a Corinth City . Bro. Ted Avant will be officiating. William McMullin will be the pianist playing "How Great Thou Art". The Honor Guard will be presenting military honors including a 3 gun salute, the playing of "Taps" and folding /presentation of the US flag.
