Obituary: service for Evelyn M. Henegar, 93, of Anniston will be at 1 p.m. at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with the Rev. Marlin Greenwood officiating. Burial will follow at Rehoboth in Cave Springs, Ga. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Henegar passed away at her residence. Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Brewer, Barbara Roberts, Phyllis Gravier (Bob) and Angela Hamblin; her sons, Jimmy Lee Henegar (Christine), Eddie Henegar, Tommy Henegar (Denise), Avery Henegar (Betty) and Jeffrey Henegar (Cathy); her brother, Clayton Smith (Ester); sixteen grandchildren, twenty two great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Henegar is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Henegar. Pallbearers will be family. Mrs. Henegar was a resident of Calhoun for 62 years. She was a member of N. Ledbetter Street Baptist Church and taught School and was a song director. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Obituary: Willis "Buddy" Hendrix of Pelham, AL, passed away , 23, 2017. Born on 15, 1925 to Marie Dixon and Lether Hendrix of Jefferson , AL. Buddy attended Phillips High School and served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was honorably discharged in 1944. He completed his education at the University of Alabama and the Birmingham School of Law. his retirement from Alabama Power , he became active in the Silver Haired Legislature. Buddy made many friends over the years and would do anything for them. He enjoyed his teaching career, art work, "Johnny Appleseed" planting, and most of all, his Mickey Mouse years at The Alabama Theatre. Buddy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley Smith Hendrix; children, Marlee (David) Dailey and Willis "Hal" (Patricia) Hendrix; grandchildren, William "Will" Dailey, Alexander "Alex" Dailey, Austin Murphree, and Tyler (Lauren) Murphree; and sister, Freida Guthrie. Buddy was preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Cross, and brother, Bill Hendrix. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wed., 28, 2017, Ridout's Southern Heritage , Pelham, immediately followed by memorial service at 1 p.m., Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. She was a member of the Pineywood Baptist Church and later attended Central Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Marvin Hendrix; parents, Lucy Ann and Joseph Chester Moody. She is survived by her loving family two sons, Larry R. Hendrix and Lonnie S. Hendrix; and one daughter, Beverly L. Joiner; two sisters, Clara Nichols and Nell Huffman; her grandchildren, Jason Hendrix, Amy Kester (Keith), Kelli Burdette (Brian), Lori Harrison (Eric), Brett Hendrix, Aliesha Hayes (Doug), and Alena Joiner; great grandchildren, Austin Burdette, Jackson Burdette, Carson Burdette, Grayson Burdette, Caroline Kester, Emma Kate Kester, Breanna Hayes, Carter Hayes, Brynlee Harrison, and Baylee Harrison.
