Obituary: Robert Bob Earl Hinson of Lake Charles passed away , 26, 2015 at a local hospital at the age of 71. Bob was an avid reader who also enjoyed fishing, and his guns which were of all different makes and models. He proudly served in the army in the electrical warfare operations from 1966-1971 and received a National Defense Service Medal along with the medal of Good Conduct, while serving. He was a proud graduate from McNeese State University with a BS Degree in Mathematics. Bob was a loving father, and son who will be greatly missed. Those left to cherish his memories is his daughter; Clancy Mullins and husband David of Lake Charles, LA, the mother of his daughter Mary Rembert Hinson of Lake Charles, LA and his grand dog; Taco. He was preceded in death by both his parents; Earl and Florence Hinson. Per Bobs wishes there will be no service, cremation will be entrusted to Hixson of Lake Charles. Obituary: Donna Ruth Gartman Hinson, who was 86, died peacefully in her home on , 11. Visitation with the family will be at the First Christian Church in Baton Rouge on , 16. from 4 until 7. A memorial service will immediately follow, and a reception will be held in the church fellowship hall. When she died, Donna was sitting in her chair, fully dressed with lipstick, her earrings and the visor she always wore. Donna was born May 1, 1928, in Port Arthur, Texas. Her parents, Ellis and Alice Gartman had five children. Known as Donnie Ruth while she was growing up, she was shaped by living through the Great Depression and World War II. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. One of the things she was most proud of was earning her letter faster than any girl in school history. While she was at TJ, Donnie met her high school sweetheart, and future husband, Buddy Hinson, by offering to carry some of his books after school one day, since he had a broken arm. This bit of compassion ultimately led to a loving marriage and partnership of 39 years, until Buddy died in 1986. being a wife and stay at home mom for several years, in her early 40s, on a whim, Donna got her real estate license. This led to starting Donna Hinson Real Estate. She worked with builders L.S. Mullins and Bob Gibson, learning as she went. She decorated and sold all their new homes. Chances are, if you bought a house in Sherwood Forest in the 1970s, even with 17% interest rates, she sold it to you. her husband, Al, began building houses, they were a team. He built them, she decorated and sold them. Donna managed the rental property they built, and eventually had a rental business which included over 40 pieces of rental property. She was very proud that at 86, she was still actively managing the property, including actually hands on doing many of the repairs. One of the things she was most proud of was her sponsorship of Donna Hinson Real Estate American Legion baseball teams. She loved being at all the games, cheering on her son, Bud Hinson, and the other players, who she always called her boys. She was so excited when the sports page headlines six times declared Donna Hinson Real Estate as city champions. her husband's death, Donna was blessed to have the companionship of Jim Kirkland. had been friends in high school, but were fortunate to have a relationship that lasted 26 years, until Donna's death. Donna loved people. She loved her family, especially those grandkids and great grandkids. She loved her many, many friends. She looked forward to her high school class luncheon every year. She often said she would go to a buzzard fight if people were there. She enjoyed talking, laughing and telling stories. What you saw was what you got with Donna. There was never any question where one stood with her. Donna loved God, her family, LSU football, baseball and women's basketball, getting a bargain, the beach at Perdido Key, FL, bright colors, fixing something without reading the directions, giving unsolicited advice, wearing a visor, chocolate milk, cooking a Southern dinner, salt, her tenants, Sissy, her yellow lab, the New Orleans Saints, working puzzles, reading The Advocate every day, and especially her grandkids Nick, Caz, Buddy and Braden, and her great-grandkids, Hayden Rae and Ethan. Obituary: Otto Hinrichs, Jr. passed away on , 2, 2012 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn ine Hinrichs. Father of Wanda Hinrichs Schultz, Keith E. Hinrichs, Brian D. Hinrichs and the late Wayne O. Hinrichs. Son of the late Otto A. Hinrichs, Sr. and Bertha Maxwell Hinrichs. Brother of Bertha Heumann, Gloria Guidry, Linda Johnson, Betty Held, Carol Braud and the late Elaine Sorenson, Henry Hinrichs, Richard Hinrichs, Allen Hinrichs and Shirley Hinrichs. Also survived by 10 grandchildren. Mr. Hinrichs was a veteran of the US Air Force for 26 years, a member of the VFW, the Air Force Sergeants Association and the US Navy Seabees. He was also a parishioner of St. Matthew the Apostle Church and past president of the Holy Name Society.
