Obituary: Vera Amanda Harvey Monroe, LA services for Mrs. Vera A. Harvey 93 of Monroe formerly of Delhi, LA will be held at 1:00 PM , 8, 2015 in the chapel of Cox in Delhi with Rev. Tony Smith and Rev. Larry Bass officiating. Visitation will be held at Cox in Delhi on , 8, 2015 from 11 AM until time of services. Burial will be in the Delhi Masonic under the direction of Cox . Mrs. Harvey was a native of Marksville, LA and a longtime resident of Delhi where she owned and operated Veras Beauty Shop and assisted her beloved husband in his Pastoral Ministries of area churches where she was an accomplished Pianist and dedicated pastors wife. She is preceded in death by the love of her life Rev. J. P. Harvey Sr.; her parents Charley Wiley and Cora Moreau Wiley; a brother Charles L. Wiley; two sisters-in-law Birdie Chapman and Lucille McEacharn and a brother-in-law Grover Harvey. Vera is survived by a son and his wife Julius Pierce Peevy Harvey Jr. and wife Kelli of West Monroe, LA; three grandchildren Jason Scott Harvey of Downsville, LA and Krista and Deane Batten; a sister Beverly K. Levie and husband Bill of Monroe, LA; two sisters-in-law Cordie Harvey of Monroe, LA and JoAnn Wiley of Blanchard, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.
