Obituary: Doris Gayle (Moore) Hildreth was born 2, 1941, to Lewis and Aleta (Jensen) Moore in Onawa, Iowa. She was raised in Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1959. Doris married Bernard Hildreth on May 15, 1959, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. lived in Council Bluffs for one and one half years before moving to a farm near Pisgah, Iowa. Doris worked as the manager for the Job Service of Iowa in Missouri Valley until her retirement in 2007. Doris was a member of the Community of Christ. She volunteered at the Harrison Food Pantry for many years. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and reading. Doris and Bernard loved to dance. Most importantly Doris life revolved around her children and grandchildren. Doris was happiest when her household was full of family and friends. Doris died on , 26, 2014, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical in Storm Lake, Iowa at the age of 73 years, seven months, and 24 days. Doris was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Terry Carritt. She is survived by her husband, Bernard Hildreth of Pisgah, Iowa; five children, Terry (Julie) Hildreth of Omaha, Nebraska, Rhonda (Kevin) Johnson of Moorhead, Iowa, Rebecca Rau and Robert (Lora) Hildreth all of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Shelly (Elliott) Ham of Lampasas, Texas; 16 grandchildren; one great grandson; three siblings, Ardis Moore of Woodbine, Iowa, Monte (Gretchen) Moore of Warsaw, Indiana, Trudy Pogue of Kearney, Nebraska; and many other relatives and friends. |

Obituary: Charlene Doris Hildreth, 81, passed away on , 3, 2016. A visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m., , 6, 2016 at the Ankeny (1510 W. First St., Ankeny, IA 50023). A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on , 7, 2016 at the Ankeny First United Methodist Church (206 SW Walnut St., Ankeny, IA 50023). Burial will follow services in the Lincoln in Alleman, IA. Charlene was born on May 13, 1934, in Polk City, IA to Robert and Doris (Fletcher) White. She graduated Ankeny High School in 1952, following graduation she married her High School sweetheart Harold Bo Jack Hildreth and they were blessed with three children. Charlene owned and operated Yard by Yard Fabric Shop located on Ankeny Boulevard for many years before taking a job in administration for DMACC in Ankeny, she retired from DMACC and went on to work for Ankeny State Bank in the safety deposit department. She was a member of the Womens club, LIFT, and the Ankeny United Methodist Church. Charlene enjoyed playing bridge, and sewing, her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered by those who knew her for her loving smile, and her sweet loving demeanor. Charlene is survived by her daughters; Carol (Ray) Peterson, Diane (David) Drake, son; Brian Hildreth, 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren. Charlene was preceded in death by her husband; Harold Bo Jack Hildreth, grandsons; Nickolas Hildreth, Shannon OConnor, and her favorite dog Brown Bear. Memorial contributions may be made to Ankeny First United Methodist Church. |

Obituary: Bernard Dwayne Hildreth was born 29, 1937, to Charles and Nina (Crews) Hildreth in Pisgah, Iowa. He was raised in Pisgah and graduated from Pisgah High School. Bernard proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Bernard married Doris Moore on May 15, 1959, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The family lived in Council Bluffs and Dubuque where Bernard worked for a construction firm. moved to a farm near Pisgah. Bernard continued working with construction and also started Hildreth Painting and Construction. Doris died 26, 2014. Bernard was a member of the Community of Christ. He loved his family and family gatherings. Bernard and Doris loved to dance. Bernard enjoyed playing euchre, boating, traveling and gardening. He also enjoyed raising and training horses. He rode in many parades and on trail rides. He loved to share his trick horse Pete with everyone. Bernard was a regular at the Old Café where he enjoyed visiting with his friends. Bernard died 22, 2016, at the Burgess Medical in Onawa, Iowa at the age of 79 years, five months, and 23 days. Bernard was preceded in death by his parents; wife Doris; son-in-law, Terry Carritt; sisters, Phyllis Peterson, Helen Welter, Neva Hinkel and Janece Connery; brothers, Charles Bud, Warren Swede, Russell, and Arlan Hildreth. He is survived by five children, Terry (Julie) Hildreth of Omaha, NE, Rhonda (Kevin) Johnson of Moorhead, IA, Rebecca Rau and Robert (Lora) Hildreth all of Council Bluffs, IA, and Shelly (Elliott) Ham of Lampasas, TX; 21 grandchildren; two great grandsons; two brothers, Joe (Dorothy) Hildreth of Underwood, IA, and Royce Hildreth of Pisgah, IA; sister, Sandy (Ron) Johnson of Omaha, NE; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hildreth of Woodbine, IA, JoAnn Hildreth of Council Bluffs, IA and Connie Hildreth of Mondamin, IA; brother-in-law, Estal Hinkel of Logan, IA and many other relatives and friends. |
