Obituary: HUDSON, IL - Roy W. Holschen, 83, of Hudson, IL, formerly of Lexington, IL, passed away at 9:58 a.m. on , 21, 2011 at OSF Saint Joseph Medical in Bloomington, IL. He was born 20, 1927 in St. Louis, MO, son of and Golda Swank Holschen. He graduated from Gunlach School, Blewett High School and Hadley Technical School all in St. Louis, MO. He married Eileen ONeil on 30, 1948. Surviving are his wife; children, Jerry (Patti) Holschen of St. Louis, MO, Diane (Pat) Shaw of Madison, WI, David (Carla) Holschen of St. Louis, MO, Sharon (Philip) Morris of Hudson, IL and Kathi (Pat) OGrady of Hudson, IL. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Roy entered the US Navy in of 1944 and served on the USS Navasota AO-106 for over two years as the ships baker, before being discharged on of 1947. returning to St. Louis, he held a variety of jobs, including Metropolitan Life Insurance, Maryland Casualty and Service Fire Insurance before joining State Farm Insurance in 1959. He retired in 1990 from State Farms Corporate Office in Bloomington, with over 31 years of service. He was a volunteer for the Illinois Department of Insurance; a member of the Lexington Library Board and an election judge. He was a member of the Gremlins Athletic Association, Lions Club and the Lexington American Legion. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on , 1, 2011 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Lexington, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on at East Lawn in Bloomington, IL with a prayer service at 5:45 p.m. Entombment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington, IL. Obituary: Eileen C. Holschen, age 88, of Hudson, formerly of Lexington, died 24, 2015 in Chenoa, IL. She was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Nee Burkard) ONeil of St. Louis, MO. She graduated from St. Marks School and married Roy Holschen 30, 1948. She retired from St. Josephs Hospital in 1991 after 15 years of service. Eileen was a volunteer for the 4-H Club and the Renegade Red Hatters. She enjoyed making crafts, sewing, knitting, crocheting, bingo and cards. Surviving are her children Jerry (Patti) Holschen; Diane (Patrick) Shaw; David (Carla) Holschen; Sharon (Philip) Morris; and Kathi (Patrick) OGrady. Dear grandmother of 14 and great grandmother of 19. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy in 2011. Visitation for Eileen will take place , 27th from 4-6pm at East Lawn , 1002 Airport Rd., Bloomington, IL 61704. Mass of Catholic Burial will take place , 28th at 10:30am at St. Marys Catholic Church of Lexington, 201 N Lee St, Lexington, IL 61753. Obituary: George Waymon Holpe, 37, of Aurora, IL, transitioned to his eternal heavenly home on , 27, 2013 at Presence Mercy . He was born on 29, 1975 to the late Ida Pearl and Lester Holpe, Sr. George confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a member of Main Baptist Church. He was employed transporting patients to medical appointments. Using his charm and loving spirit, people entered his van as patients but left as friends. He leaves to cherish his memory a nephew and God-Given brother, Moshea (Petey) Sykes; brothers, Lester Holpe, Jr. of Chicago, Larry Holpe of Byhalia, MS, Alvin and Malvin Dixon of Pontotoc, MS; sister, Laverne (Harry) Hope-Crutcher of Byhalia, Ms.; God-adopted parents, L.C. and Theodora J. Hope, God-adopted siblings, Tim, Tanessia and Shannon Hope and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
