Obituary: Mrs. Foye Couey Holder, age 91, passed away , 4, 2011 at Memorial Hospital. She was born in Wheeler , GA, on 7, 1919. Mrs. Holder was employed by Tetley Tea for over 30 years. Following retirement, she enjoyed reading, creating beautiful quilts, visiting with friends and family, and being active in church. She was predeceased by her husband, A.T. Holder, her parents, an infant granddaughter, 3 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tennyson and Diane Holder of Garden City, Ga.; and her daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Sid Woodruff of San Antonio, TX.; 4 grandchildren, Deidra Cribbs, Denae Curry, Sidney and Janelle Woodruff and Natalie and Somphone Khantharoth; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; 3 sisters, Frankie Coleman, Dorothy Odom and Editha Grant; 2 sisters-in-law, Barthena Couey and Ann Couey; many nieces and nephews, and a dear friend Carol Ends. Her family is grateful for her Christian testimony - she believed and trusted God. Member of the Chapel in the Gardens Presbyterian Church. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Kellie Pinkston and Beverly Moss as well as to the staff of Spanish Oaks Hospice in Savannah, GA who gave compassionate care with respect for Mrs. Holder and support for the family. Obituary: David J. Holder, 48, of Jackson, GA passed away , 15, 2010. Mr. Holder was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Jess & Mary Holder. David was the owner of Holder s. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, and enjoyed riding his Harley and Chopper. David was an avid fisherman, enjoyed boating, driving race cars, and had a passion for adrenaline, and speed. Obituary: Terry was born, a beautiful, bright baby girl, on 27, 1955 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the first child of Doug and Pat Humphreys. As a child, she enjoyed the fields and forests of Indian Springs School, in Birmingham, Alabama, where her father was a math professor. In the coming years, she proved to be not only beautiful, but also intelligent and athletic. the family moved from Birmingham, Alabama to Huntsville, she attended Virgil I. Grissom High School, where she was an honor student, a cheerleader, president of the 1974 senior class and its valedictorian. graduation, Terry had a very successful career with Xerox and gave birth to her first child, Shanna. In of 1984, Terry met the love of her life, Graham Holden, married him, and moved to Athens, Georgia, where Terry continued to work while Graham attended law school at the University of Georgia. During those years, she gave birth to two more cherished daughters - Rhiannon, now a third year resident in internal medicine at the University of North Carolina, in Chapel Hill, and Madison, a budding cosmetologist at the and Style Institute in Kennesaw. Terry lived life to the fullest, enjoyed Alabama and Georgia Tech football, and loved her family and friends. She was generous and kind to a fault, always willing to help a friend or even a total stranger. Her interests included reading, arts and crafts, and she became an accomplished artist and a skilled interior decorator. Terry lost her long, courageous battle with cancer on 12, 2015. She is survived by her husband Graham, her daughters Rhiannon, Madison and Shanna Bomar (husband Chris), her granddaughter Lily, her sisters Janet Humphreys and Nancy Jones, their husbands Mark Izard and Jericho and her brother David Humphreys and his wife Leslie, sister-in-law, Suzanne Walker and her niece Megan Walker. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at two oclock in the afternoon on , 15, 2015 at The Episcopal Church of the Ascension, Cartersville with Priest Mary Erickson officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service time at the church.
