Obituary: Mr. Tommie Daniel Hewett, 60, died ( 22, 2014) at Satilla following a short illness. He was a native of Clinch but had lived most of his life in Waycross. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Hoover Hewett, Sr. and Florine McDaniel Hewett Ticefelt and step father, Robert Ticefelt. He was a former employee the Ware Water Department. Survivors include a brother, Robert Hoover Hewett, Jr. of Waycross; two half brothers, Gary Tillman (wife Geraldine) of Waycross, Darrell Peters (wife Jackie) of Waynesville; one sister, Loretta Strickland (husband Marlin) of Blackshear; his former wife, Christine Hewett of Waycross; his step children, Elaine Hodges (husband Wayne) of Waresboro, Robert G. Crews, Edward Crews and Aaron Crews (wife Debbie) all of Waycross, Lorraine Dowling of Blackshear and Peggy Adams (husband Everett) of Hortense; 19 step grandchildren; 57 step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. ( 29, 2014) at Music Chapel. Memorization will be in by cremation. She was born 12, 1958 in Valdosta, Georgia to the late r Able Hewett and Norma D. Hewett. She lived most of her life in Cook and was a member of Sparks Baptist Church. She served in the United States Army and was a warehouse manager and property manager for Jones and Sons . Miss Hewett is survived by her mother, Norma D.
