Obituary: Billie Harbert III, was the second of three children born to the union of Eddie Mae Morgan and Billie Harbert, Jr., 26, 1934 in Memphis, Tennessee. When he was a young boy the family moved to Ypsilanti, MI where he fell in love with airplanes, spending hours at Willow Run Airport dreaming of becoming a pilot. As an adolescent, Billie moved to St. Louis, MO with his mother and siblings and at 19 he joined the United States Air Force. While serving in the USAF, he was able to travel the world and fell in love with Italy spending several tours there, even learning to speak the language fluently. In 1961, he married a fellow airmen Elizabeth Jane Barber and to this union four children were born, he would name two of his daughters after cities in Italy. Billie also earned his pilots license while serving our country and restored a private airplane. In addition to flying, he also loved riding his motorcycles, and was also in a boxing club in the Air Force. Billie is a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. twenty years in the service, in 1973 Billie retired from the Air Force and spent another twenty years working for the Federal Government. Always the innovative entrepreneur, Billie owned several businesses while in the service and after he retired including The Plaster Shack a sculpturing novelty shop, The Upholstery Clinic furniture upholstery shop, and B&H Sewer Cleaning Co., to name a few. In 1987, he took a position in Washington, D.C. where he would retire. On 22, 1995 he would meet the love of his life, Linda Cason and two weeks later on 5th, he took her as his wife. The two packed up a RV and traveled the country for over a year before settling down in Loganville, GA. For eighteen years the two were a great example of what it meant to walk out marriage vows; for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, forsaking all others until death parts us. On morning, the Lord called Billie home at 1:10am and he was ready. Billie was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Hattie Mae, his brother Charles Edward, and his son Billie IV. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Linda, his children Vicenza, Veronica, Verona (Derhun), Janiece, Derrick (Silke), and Vincent; his grandchildren, Michael, Cameron, Joe, Yanisha, and Chiya; and one great-grandson Jacob, nieces Desa and Jaime, nephews Jacque Pierre, Carlos, and Christopher, and a host of family and special friends. |

Obituary: Robert L. Haralson Sr. a long time resident of Smyrna, Georgia, but for the last eight years a resident of Greenville, South Carolina, passed from this life on , 8, 2015 at the age of 91. Born in Danville, Kentucky to Wade and Lizzie Haralson, Robert was one of nine children. He was preceded in death by his brothers Howell, Wade, Jack, and Buddy, and his sisters Frances and Louise. He is survived by his sisters, Virginia Bradbury and Elizabeth Sherman, both of Tyrone, Georgia. Robert was married for 66 years to Bernice (Bunny) Tidwell Haralson, who also survives him. Additionally, he is survived by his two children, Robert L. Haralson Jr. (Jeannie) of Stone Mountain, Georgia and Susan Elaine Haralson Beaver (Dan) of Mauldin, South Carolina. He was a Grandfather to Jamie Leigh Beaver Newsome (Brandon) of Belton, South Carolina, Evan K. Beaver of Greenville, South Carolina, J. Ross Haralson (Lindsey) of Newnan, Georgia, and S. Kevin Haralson of East Point, Georgia. He was Great Grandfather to Lana Newsome, Logan Newsome, and Laykin Newsome of Belton, South Carolina, and Spencer Haralson of Newnan, Georgia. He was also a beloved uncle to several nieces and nephews. Robert served in World War II as a Gunnery Sergeant in Belgium, France, and Germany. He was awarded the Purple Heart during his wartime service. He was a retired electrician having worked for Fulton Brothers Electric and Fowler Electric , both of Atlanta, and he was a 70 year member of Atlanta Local 613 of the IBEW. He was a long time member of the Christian Church where he served in years past as an Elder as well as Chairman of the Building and Grounds ministry. Services will be held at Carmichael-Hemperley of East Point, Georgia on , 11th at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Visitation will precede the service from noon until 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow immediately after the service at Westview in Atlanta. Lee Delbridge, Minister will officiate. If so desired, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to your local church or favorite charity. |

Mrs. Haralson was a native and lifelong resident of Bulloch and worked as a waitress at many local restaurants in Statesboro, including RJs Steakery and Shoneys. Obituary: Mary Alice Howard Haralson, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior , 22, 2015. services will be held , 24, 2015 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park with Rev. Mrs. Haralson was born in LaGrange, Georgia to the late Clayton Howard and Laura Janney Howard and was preceded in death by her siblings, Thomas Howard, Louise Fambro and Jean Lisenby. She was retired as a Paraprofessional from the Bibb Board of Education and was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. Mrs. Haralson enjoyed reading, puzzles, cooking and baking, sewing, taking care of her family and she especially loved Christmastime.
