Obituary: Hossein Hashemi-kia, son of Marzieh Yagoubi and Yousef Hashemi-kia, was born 15, 1948, in Tehran, Iran. Early in his high school years, he moved to England to continue his high school and college studies. Shortly after finishing college in 1975, as a polymer chemist, he moved to US and was residing in US since then. He got married on 1991 and has two beautiful kids, named Ali and Mona. For the past 14 years Hossein was battling a set of chronic illnesses. He was 68 when he finally lost that battle and passed away, here in Phoenix Arizona on May 16, 2017. |

Obituary: Betty L. Hasforth, age 85 of Tempe, AZ, passed away peacefully 10/9/2016. She was born 11/29/1930 in St. Louis, MO. Her husband, Chester D. Hasforth preceded her in death. Betty is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Neal and Linda Sinnwell and grandsons, Taylor Neal (Annie) and Collin Neal. Beloved pets, Sadie the cat and Magoo the turtle will miss her dearly. Betty moved to the valley in 1960. She and her husband enjoyed hiking and exploring the many trails of the southwest. Betty worked 18 years at First National Bank of AZ later known as Wells Fargo. In addition to time spent at church with many dear friends, she also enjoyed being a part of the Young at Heart and Radiant Reds. services will be held on 10/13/2016 at 0900, Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, AZ. This will be followed by a celebratory mass at 1100, Resurrection Catholic Church, 3201 S Evergreen Rd., Tempe, AZ. Obituary: Nita Ruth Martin Haschets, passed into the loving arms of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior on 17, 2017, exactly twelve years after the death of her precious husband, Andrew Haschets. Nita was born 2, 1926, in Limestone , Texas. When she was two they moved to Sudan, Texas, and at age 5, to Littlefield, Texas. The family moved to Hobbs, New Mexico, when Nita was 9 and her parents opened a laundry and her dad worked in the oil field. Nita met Andy Haschets, the love of her life, while he was stationed at the Hobbs Air Base and they married on 24, 1944. She graduated from Hobbs High School in 1945. Andy and Nita had two children, Connie Haschets White and Rodney Haschets, Jr. Nita retired from First Interstate Bank (Wells Fargo) as vice president of personnel in 1989. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, and Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Mrs. Haschets moved to Sun Lakes, AZ, in 2005 to be near her daughter, and in 2013 moved in with her daughter, Connie and son-in-law, John, where she passed away surrounded by love. Mrs. Haschets was preceded in death by her parents Andrew Washington Martin and Eula Johnson Martin, her brothers Marion and Murray Martin, and her only son, Rodney Haschets. She is survived by her daughter Connie Haschets White and her son-in-law, John, Sun Lakes, AZ, her granddaughters, Amanda Leigh Neilson and husband Nicholas, of Colorado Springs, Co., Allison Ruth Mangrum and husband Derek, of Gilbert, AZ, Cindy Haschets Ganaway and husband, Dave, of Carlsbad, NM, and grandson, John Haschets and wife Jennifer, of Carlsbad, NM. Nita is also survived by her great grandchildren John Warren Mangrum and Samuel Derek Mangrum of Gilbert, AZ, Andrew James Neilson and Alexander Nicholas Neilson of Colorado Springs, CO, Rodney Ganaway, Brandon Ganaway, and Emily Ganaway, of Carlsbad, NM, and Connor Haschets and Colby Haschets, of Carlsbad, N M. A memorial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on , 24, 2017, under the direction of Chapel of Hope, 3321 N. Dal Paso, Hobbs, New Mexico, 88240. A luncheon will be served by the Bethany Chapter of Eastern Star at the Masonic Lodge in Hobbs following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society in memory of Nita Ruth Martin Haschets. She loved her kitties. |
