Obituary: Richard Guidotti was born on 18, 1933 and passed away on 1, 2021 at the age of 88. He was a resident of Brevard , FL. Richie was a retired NY Police Detective originally from Suffern, NY. He passed away peacefully near his daughters home in Melbourne Beach, Florida on the morning of 1, 2021. Although he tried (unsuccessfully) to join the Navy at age 16, he had to wait another two years until he was legally able to join. He served the US Navy from 1952 – 1954. In 1955, he married his childhood sweetheart, Elsie Guidotti. lived in the Bronx, NY and had three daughters, Donna, Janet and Susan. Richie worked several different jobs before joining the NYC Police Department in 1967. He was eventually promoted to NYC Detective – a job which he loved and was very proud of. In 1968, they moved to Suffern, NY with their girls. lived there until Elsies passing in 2011, within months of Richie suffering a stroke. With lots of therapy, he was able to live independently, which meant a lot to him. He moved to Florida near his daughter, Susan. Although he missed the family he left in NY, he truly enjoyed the year round warm weather and being close to the beach. He spent the last few years in Victoria Landing Assisted Living really enjoying himself with a beautiful view of the water. Richie is predeceased by his wife Elsie and his daughter Janet. He is survived by his daughters Donna (and John) Squitieri, Susan (and Jeff) Reed, his granddaughters Nicole (and Chris) Mayorga, Lauren (and Steve) Hill, Julianna Reed, Katie Reed and his great-grandchildren Tyler and Madison Mayorga. He was a special man who will be forever remembered by many and forever missed by his family. A mass will be held on , 17 at 10:30am at Sacred Heart Church with burial at Ascension |

Obituary: John Louis Guidone, age 80, died peacefully on 27th, 2015 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Plymouth, surrounded by his family. He was the devoted husband of Lorraine (Aldieri) Guidone. Born in New Haven, CT, on May 18, 1935, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Mary (Guidone) Guidone. He received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree from Southern Connecticut State University, and did his post graduate work at Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT. For most of his life Mr. Guidone worked as an Administrator in Special Education for the Westport Board of Education in Westport CT. John also taught art at Southern Connecticut State University and was an accomplished artist in many media forms. John proudly served in the U.S. Navy as an air controlman from 1955-1957. He and Lorraine shared time between Port Saint Lucie and Plymouth, previously residing in Orange, CT. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and boating as a few of his favorite hobbies. Besides leaving Lorraine, his wife of 52 years, John was the loving father of Jay Guidone and his wife Sherri of Walpole and Dr. Paul Guidone and his wife Elizabeth of Portsmouth, RI. He was the beloved brother of the late Robert Noel Guidone and also leaves his three cherished grandchildren; Jake, Julia, and Eva. Visiting hours will be held at the Davis & Cremation , 619 State Rd , Manomet (Plymouth) on , 2nd, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial service in the funeral home at 12:00 noon. Donations in his memory may be made to the Cranberry Hospice, Inc., 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360. |
