Obituary: Fred “Red” Godbee, age 85, of Spring Hill, FL. died on , 2, 2016, at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL. Fred was a resident of Spring Hill since 1985 coming from North Brunswick, NJ. Where he lived for 20+ years. Fred was born on 11, 1930, in Girard, GA, to the late Fred & Nettie (Hill) Godbee. Fred worked for and retired from the Delco-Remy Division of General Motors in New Brunswick, NJ. He worked in the Delco Battery Plant, as a Specialized Machinist Mechanic, maintaining, repairing and rebuilding the one of a-kind equipment that manufactured automotive batteries. Fred loved playing Poker, with his friends, and played Craps and Blackjack at the Hard Rock Casino, in Tampa. Fred enjoyed vegetable gardening, did handyman odd jobs, and was known to be able to fix anything. Fred was Christian by faith, a member of the Spring Hill New Jersey Club, and a past member of the ELKS Lodge in NJ. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Kathryn “Kitty” (Pavia) Godbee on 14, 2010, son-in-law, John “Jack” Larson on 1, 2015, and sister, Ann L. Fischer, on 28, 2015. Fred is survived by his son, Kevin Godbee of St. Petersburg, FL. and daughter, Lisa Larson, of Spring Hill, FL. Obituary: Rita Elaine Godard, 62 of Orlando, FL passed away on 17, 2014. She was born on 29, 1952 in Kansas City, Kansas to the union of Alfred K. and Wilma (Metcalf) Warfield. Rita worked as an assembly worker for many years and was a member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. She loved to travel and the joy of her life was being with her family and caring for them. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brothers and sisters: Loretta L. Leverette, Alfred K. Warfield Jr., Frank G. Warfield, Johnny R. Warfield, Eva M. Swepston, Ardelia M. Terry and Howard T. Warfield. Rita leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Johnny E. Godard; her children: Kenneth D. (Tawania) Godard and LaKenna N. C. Godard; her brothers and sisters: Laura L. Young, Austin, TX, Paula P. (Jemmer) Rowe, Kansas City, MO, Gerry S. Hogan, San Diego, CA; and Michael G. Warfield and Martin J. Warfield, both of Kansas City, MO; and her beloved six grandchildren. Obituary: Thelma May Gockenbach, 89, passed into her new life, , 20, 2015 due to complications from Congestive Heart Failure and COPD at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral. She was born to Forrest and Sadie M. Sullivan on 13, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio. Raised in Columbus, Ohio, Thelma worked as an insurance secretary after high school until she married Jack E. Gockenbach, on 1, 1947, after he returned from the South Pacific, where he had been stationed as a Navy Seabee. In 1976 they retired to Cape Coral. Thelma worked for many years at Cape Elementary School as a teachers assistant in Remedial Reading. She was an avid reader and so enjoyed her every afternoon Knitting and Crocheting group. Thelma will be remembered as a wonderful, loving wife and mother to Marcia and Marc and grandmother to Lindsey and Adam whom she cherished with all her heart. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack and brother Forrest Sullivan. She is survived by her daughter, Marcia (Tom) Givens of Cape Coral, son, Marc (Jane) Gockenbach of Villa Hills, KY., 2 grandchildren, Lindsey (Jake) of Pittsburg, and Adam of Villa Hills, Ky. Thelma is also survived by her sister Ruth White of Crystal River, Fl., sister-in-law, Phyllis Sullivan along with other family members, nieces and nephews, and her many dear friends. The family would like to thank all the nursing and hospital staff of Cape Coral Hospital 3 West for their never ending tentative care and to the ever compassionate care at Hope Hospice in her final days. A memorial graveside service will be held at Coral Ridge and , 1630 SW Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, Fl. on , 24, 20-15 at 11:00 AM.
