Obituary: Perry E. Gibbs, age 77, passed away with his family at his side on 12, 2014. He was born in Perry, FL on 2, 1937 to the late Perry E. Gibbs and Delta Gibbs. Perry was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Stewart Gibbs. Perry served in the United States Army from 1956 until 1959. He was an officer with the Jacksonville Sheriffs office for 25 years, retiring in 1994. Perry is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Linda Gibbs; son, Perry E. Gibbs, Jr.; daughters, Gina Darlene Gibbs and her husband, Mark; Vivian Knudsen and her husband, Lamar; and Kim Miller and her husband, James. Surviving grandchildren are Scott Ferguson, Austin Ferguson, Heather Chiovaro, John Gibbs, Randall Gibbs, Ashleigh Caraviello, Laine Miller and four great-grandchildren. Perry is also survived by nephews, Gary Crotty, Duane Gibbs and Mark Gibbs and nieces, Kathy Pendergrass and Sheri Sheppard as well as his beloved childhood friend, Leroy Larsen and his family. Perry was an extraordinary husband, father and grandfather. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. Paul was the 2015 Limited Late Model Champion and a Street Stock Champion at East Bay Raceway. Paul leaves behind his loving family and many friends who will miss him dearly. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lecanto. Preceded in death by her husband, Clifford M. Gibbs; 2 sons Clifford M. Gibbs, Jr. and Richard E. Gibbs and 8 siblings. Mary was born in Vanderbilt, PA on Jan. 17, 1922, the second youngest of 9 children of Sutton and Myrtle Blair. Mary is survived by her daughter, Leslie Doepke (Chuck) of Plant City, FL; her son, Lee Brown (Frankie) of Papillion, NE; stepdaughters, Irene Urzendowski of Omaha, NE, Linda Beisner (Jack) of Wheaton, IL; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Mary was predeceased by her first husband, Lt. Col. Leslie A. Brown, Jr. (USAF Ret.) in 1962; her second husband, Roy W. Gibbs in 1995; her son, Larry Brown in 2009; and great granddaughter, Sara Elizabeth Hulme in 2001; 5 brothers; and 3 sisters. Mary loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She was an avid walker, nature lover, birdwatcher and golfer who also enjoyed time at the beach and traveling the world. The family wishes to thank the staff at Elderberry ALF in Plant City for the loving care their mother received. have been entrusted to Wells Memorial and Event in Plant City, FL.
