Obituary: https://www.gofundme.com/ppgeorge Our dear father/grandfather, Puthenveettil Pappu George, passed away on 9th, 2017. In his early life, he suffered the loss of his foot in a bus accident. Though this was a setback for him during the remainder of his life, he seemed to push through with faith and the help of a prosthetic leg to ease daily activities and more. Throughout this week, we look to collect and donate money towards a prosthetic lab in Haiti powered by Mission of Hope. The funds collected will be utilized for the research and creation of prosthetics for all age groups suffering a loss of limb in poverty areas of Haiti. In lieu of flowers, please show your love and support through a charitable donation Thank you and God bless, George Family Puthenveettil Pappu George (known commonly as P.P. George and lovingly called Daddy by his family and those closest to him) was born to Puthenveettil V. Pappu and Plamena Pappu on 3, 1932 in Narakkal, Cochin, India, as the oldest of nine children. He was married to Leelamma George (daughter of Kaavil Thomas and Mariamma Thomas) on 25, 1955 in Kumbanad, Kerala, India. Daddy was blessed to grow up in a family who chose to follow Christ and His gospel, even through a difficult and trying season of persecution in their community, including three and half years without a place to call home. As a young man, he began his professional career in Cochin. He and three other Christian believers were instrumental in founding the first India Pentecostal Church (IPC) congregation in Ernakulam, India. Daddy was an entrepreneur and started a successful printing and packaging business in Hyderabad and while there, he was also involved in founding the citys first Malayalee IPC congregation. In 1990, Daddy immigrated to the United States and joined his children and their families, settling in Orlando, Florida. Even as an older adult, Daddy valued autonomy and hard work, never wanting to be a burden to anyone around him and worked for a number of years after immigrating. Daddy was an avid technology enthusiast, multilinguist, and active participant in the Church body. He combined these passions and created a database of over 1,000 Malayalam Christian songs and hymns for use in congregational singing and made it freely available to other Malayalee churches in the United States for use in worship. Daddy lived for many years as a cheerful and winsome person, rejoicing even in the midst of various health struggles, including a challenging heart condition. The various trials and setbacks he experienced throughout his life caused him to increasingly trust in the unfading and eternal hope of faith in Jesus Christ, being united with Him in His death and resurrection. On 9, 2017, at the age of 84, Daddys earthly body passed away in Orlando, Florida, surrounded by his dear family. He is survived by his wife, their three children and spouses, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. |

Obituary: Patricia Patti Jean George, 81, Fort Myers, passed away , 21, 2017. She was born Sept. 15, 1935 in East St. Louis, IL. Patti resided in East St. Louis-Belleville, IL until 1980 when she moved to Fort Myers, FL. Patti is survived by her children, Michael George, Julie M. Hauck, Richard George (Bridget), Laura Patzner (Edward) and Timothy George; Grandchildren, Andrew Hauck, Josh Patzner (Rachel), Lisa Patzner, Dan George, Jeffrey George and Elizabeth George. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Barbara Smith; son, Jeffrey George; sister, Barbara Pratl and dear friend, Bill Bauer. Many people in the Ft. Myers community may recognize Patti because of her many years in retail sales. She always had a flair with fashion and truly enjoyed helping others find their own unique style. Obituary: Ouida George Ouida George, a respected and integral part of the Palm Beach art community passed away peacefully at her home in Palm Beach Gardens, Fl. on , 8, 2014. Born in 1916 in Chicago, Illinois, Ouida started her career as a sculptor, attending the Art Institute of Chicago; then studying with both Ann Norton and Jose de Creeft; and at the famous Escuela La Esmeralda, in Mexico City. By 1949 her intense love of color and light prompted her to concentrate all her energy on her painting. Inspired by her travels around the world and her extended stays in Paris, Ouida developed a unique and individual style. She exhibited from 1950 through 1994 and her paintings can be found in private collections throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia. In 2009 The Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach honored her with a retrospective show of her work. In addition to her busy schedule painting, traveling, teaching art, consulting for galleries, illustrating two books and her charity work; Ouidas other notable activities in Palm Beach include her legendary annual New Years Day parties, and her hobby of breeding pure bred English Springer spaniels for the show ring. She is survived by her daughter Edyne Gordon of Santa Fe, NM; and her niece Sherry G. Dubois of Lake Worth, FL.
